Based near the beautiful and historic village of West Wycombe in Buckinghamshire, Tony's large family was no doubt the catalyst for his voyage into writing his own children's books.

His debut title ('Merren and the Heron') was inspired by a trip to London's Regents Park where his young daughter became fascinated by an incredibly brave bird, almost joining her on a park bench to dutifully pose for the camera.

Tony's second book ('Have you eaten, Keaton?') is another fun rhyming story that explores a child's obsession with electronic devices and the parental exasperation often caused by such modern-day distractions.

Tony is looking forward to adding further titles to the Daft Dad stable in due course.

A lovely book for kids who have trouble doing what needs to be done. For instance eating in time because you have to go out...
Keaton forgets to eat and prefers to watch tv, play soccer or play a video game.
His monster friend tries to warn and help but Keaton doesn't listen.

The ending is amazing - it's so funny and surprising, I love it!
The author knows how to surprise you in a clever way.

I'm looking forward to reading many more titles by Tony Dow.
Please keep on writing!

This book is very cute, with both illustrations and rhythms. I really liked the style of illustrations, it is very suitable for poetry. The reader wants to make friends with the characters immediately. The story is very intriguing: how will it end? will the boy eat all his food? оr maybe the Monster will eat the boy? Fortunately, everything ends well!

From the illustrations to the story this book was incredible. If I was still running storytimes I would get this one in a heartbeat. The story is told in verse and follows a little boy named Keaton who just won't sit and eat his lunch! The end is hilarious and kids will love it.

Great story with a twist! The illustrations are cute, and I love how the story rhymes. It's about a kid who doesn't want to stop what he is doing to eat. The ending will surprise you. I definitely recommend this children's picture book.
