In Cory Allison’s book, The Magic Carpet Ride, we are introduced to two people, Natreya and Korai, a couple. The story jumps straight into their vacation and missing a train. Lucky for them, a mysterious man appears and offers to sell them a magic carpet. From there we are taken through several harrowing journeys leading to a huge mystery and adventure revolving around an artifact they got on their trip.
What I wish would have been available for the reader is more background information about the world that the two characters live in. I went in thinking that it was our world without anything “special” like magic and that the carpet was going to be a surprise. I was completely wrong. Throughout the story, the reader is introduced with little to no explanation that both characters are very well entuned to magic and seem to be not just artifact hunters but magic artifact hunters. I really think if there was more background information and the world was better built out by the author this story would be a lot better. As a short story though it isn’t awful. It’s just very fast-paced and the transitions or actions of the characters don’t always make sense.
The ending was also kind of a shock. Not because of the story itself but because it seemed like it wasn’t finished. I don’t know if this will be a series of short stories but I was a little disappointed where the ending was left off. I think also the book design would be better if each Part (chapter) was in a contents page.
Overall, not a bad story just wish I had more information to get a better idea of the world and characters.

I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this truly lovely book. The author, Cory Allison, wrote with such passion and was so descriptive that I actually felt like I was there with Korai and Natreya in their thrilling journey. I've only recently discovered this writer and what a find! She fulfilled all my expectations and without hesitation I will choose another of her titles.
The contents are so well developed that they simply encouraged me to turn the pages again and again. I’ve become completely invested in the story and despite the fact that the title shows, in a way, what the plot is about, most of what happened is unpredictable.
My only big complaint is that it is a very short masterpiece. In my humble opinion, a longer book would have been more interesting. Anyway, I couldn’t put it down since it is more than captivating.

Wonderfully enchanting!
A wonderful story about a husband and wife, this story was so easy and natural to follow, I was surprised at how quickly I went through it. I truly enjoyed Natreya and Korai as characters, and the way the story was split was interesting and different. Even though it has an overarching plot, it almost felt as if I was reading short stories that kept the momentum going. I love the relationship between Natreya and Korai. They are relationship goals with how much they care about and love each other. They will go out of their way to protect one another, which is something that is seen in romance novels, but not always to this extent or with this much openness. I would recommend this story to anyone!

I am delighted by this great book, “Magic Carpet Ride”. I could define this story as a fantastic fiction, its plot is very well thought out and the narrative is perfect. It is a very original story that surprised me and that I really enjoyed.
The book presents a couple who embarks on an adventure surrounded by mysteries and dangers, but this is not new for them. The characters are well developed and the narration of the events is precise and simple. This clear narrative soon catches readers attention. I felt part of the story and at times I forgot I was reading and I was just enjoying it.
I am happy I bought this book and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes fiction and adventure stories.

The chemistry of the couple paired with their adventurous outlook on life makes this book enjoyable and exciting to read. The romance, love and care they have for each other is translated through thoughtful dialogues followed by spontaneous but thrilling action scenes. Their shared interest for artifacts is a way for them to pursue exciting adventures and a mutual passion for each other. The author structures the plot in an easy and readable format with short but action-packed sections that make it hard to put the book down. I could barely keep track of time because the couple exuded such a fun and exciting vibe throughout the book that I felt very positive after finishing the book.

Magic Carpet Ride by author Allison is centered on the adventures of Natreya and her beloved husband Korai who, as the title suggests, embarks on a magic carpet ride. During this ride, a plane engine rises up through the clouds and fear of attacks begins. However, this is not new for them, they have been through this before.
The storyline unfolds naturally and even though the author used flowery language, the narrative is easy to understand. He has done a great job portraying the personalities of the two protagonists, so much so I even feel I knew them in person.
I enjoyed this book a lot, I consider it an original fiction to be enjoyed by any type of reader.

An entertaining adventure
“The Magic Carpet Ride” is a short story full of adventures. These enticing pages were written by Cory Allison, and I can say that I enjoyed them a lot!
A pair of married couples come across a Magic Carpet that will lead to some crazy and magical adventures. Their ventures are separated in 50 parts, each of them is compelling and full of action and surprises. I couldn´t put it down.
It is a well-developed and attractive plot which will let your mind flow for several minutes. It happened to me; I was immersed in their ups and downs from their unexpected journeys. That´s why I recommend it to readers who want to experience this.

An enjoyable story!
The Magic Carpet Ride is a short story written by Cory Allison. This tale follows the adventures of Natreya and Korai, a cute couple of artifact hunters, who are on an exciting journey while trying to answer the mysteries of their latest expedition. Throughout the story, they will be surrounded by magic and dangers that will be solved with much ingenuity and teamwork.
In my opinion, the plot is really entertaining and interesting because it alternates sweet dialogues between them with scenes of action and adventure. It also has short chapters written with simple vocabulary, so it is easy and quick to read.
I read it in just one afternoon and I honestly enjoyed it.
