After traveling to Colorado in May this book was added to my personal library personally since of all the wildlife we were focused on seeing and also since my nieces are Colorado-born. So combining a bit of my own personal history along with adorable animals, which no one in their right mind could resist, I came into this book with high hopes.

First of all I truly enjoyed the photographers' honesty in that all of the wild cats snapped in this book were captive-born animals. As much as it would have been nice to have seen some wild cat families from the state it was also quite a nice alternative that allowed them to have been included in the book. At the same time unlike other animal souvenirs that I grew up with while I was in the state with my own family Born Wild In Colorado this book did choose to include some photos of the state's wild horses.

The book is set-up as colored photographs capturing various young animals of the major species found in Colorado living their lives. Each photograph is accomplished by a caption that may or may not be kind of obvious to the reader.

All in all it was a rather sweet and quick read for those who may interested in traveling to Colorado for nature recreation or even for those who may just be interested in getting to know some of the main wildlife stars just as they first toddle out into the world.
