I liked it because her childhood and mine were so similar, and it brought back lots of memories for me. though the adult characters in this Meredith's life were quite different, how she sorted through her feelings was the same. I knew something about bees because my husband had them for a few years, and enjoyed learning more about their social structure, and how what she learned from her grandfather gave her insight into how people can take care of each other.
