I am still confused as to how Patricia ended up working in Georgia when she was based out of New York along with the change in her boss's name from Lenore to Edna. It also mentioned she wasn't a skill RV homeowner and she was made to seem incapable of traveling from Georgia to Montana but she had made the trip from NY to Georgia without any issues. I also didn't like how Patricia and Brian's relationship was portrayed in the story. There was a lot of negativity between the two - the tone of the relationship was much different from book one and of course wasn't really mentioned in book 2. Seems like a lot was missing from Patricia's story between the three books. There was so much potential for Patricia's story in book one but quickly went down hill. I liked the storyline in book 1, it wasn't bad in book 2, but the story seemed rushed in book 3.
Patricia McKay is a travel writer that travels the world and posts to her blog. She has just return home to North Frost after spending a while in Finland. She is ready to rest with her boyfriend, Brian Johnson. Brian is a new detective in North Frost. Brian has prepared a surprise for Patricia. However, after seeing her surprise, they get into a fight and break up. The Fall Festival is in town and Patricia goes to it alone. While standing in line waiting on coffee and a donut, the man in front of her, Zach Benton, strikes up a conversation with her. He is murdered a short time later. Of course, Patricia becomes involved and meets and follows his sister Hudson, to the police station. While standing there talking, an SUV drives by and shoots Hudson. To take her mind off of the murder Brian suggests they go through the local corn maze. In the corn maze a man tries to kill Patricia with a wire around her neck. Patricia asks her boss, Edna Traceton, to go to Atlanta on assignment to investigate the murder and near murder and the corn maze incident. Brian winds up going with her to investigate as well. There are a lot of twists and turns in this book. It will keep you guessing until the end. Another great book by Wendy Meadows. I cannot wait for Patricia's next trip. I received an advance copy from Booksprout. This is my honest opinion.

This story was a little darker (Melinda and Cathy) than the other Travel Writer ones but I liked the story. There were a few things that I wished were covered a little more deeply. 1. Stewart, the Festival witness to Zach's murder. It was great that Patricia saw there was more to Stewart than his outer appearance. 2. Fred, the Vietnam Vet, who rescued Cathy. I hoped that she saw past her usual selfishness and helped Fred. 3. I felt sorry for the members of the Wave Machine (Collaboration Wave). I bet when Cathy relocated, they were out of luck and business. 4. I felt bummed that there wasn't a book on the Ireland travel. The little bit at the end with Sally and the stranger searching for something sounded really interesting.

Patricia finally has no travel assignments so goes hope to Georgia for some down time. It’s been a while since she’s been home so things are a bit strained between her and her boyfriend Brian. Of course while home, she attends the Autumn Festival which includes a corn maze. Yet again, she gets embroiled in a murder.
While she was gone, Brian worked on enhancing her motorhome but she sure was not happy with the changes. Her and her friends still decide to take it to Atlanta as she continues to work on solving the murder.

I'm a big fan of Wendy Meadows and really enjoyed reading all three books. The books in this series, each on it's own, are well written and the characters and stories are well developed. As I read the books I was left with questions about the cohesiveness of the series. When/how did Patricia's boss change from Lenore to Edna? When did Patricia stop living in her small RV and end up with a farm in North Frost and and old Winnebago? What made Brian change from being a detective in Atlanta and end up in North Frost?
Patricia is eager to get home and have some time to relax as well as spend time with her boyfriend. Unfortunately they have a big fight and end up calling it quits. Shortly there after, she goes to the festival and naturally there is double murder to investigate. She tries to help out but Brian shuts her down at every turn. However she keeps digging and puts herself in danger. She needs to get this one solved before she ends up the next victim

Patricia is done with travel articles for a while and comes for in time for the Fall Festival. Murder appears to be the topic of the season and she is also in their sights. Patricia and Brian attempt to figure it all out before she is a victim and the chase for clues is very entertaining. Surprises, twists, misdirection and attempted murder are all on the menu. The author does a wonderful job of spinning a great mystery.

Patricia is a traveler who writes blogs about her adventures. She is ready to return to her small farm and just relax for a little while, but her boyfriend Brian has a huge surprise for her when she gets home. But does it go as planned? Why is there a killer after her? What has she done to deserve all this unwanted attention? Can she find the answers and find some peace of mind? I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

This is a can't put it down read. Once I started reading, I was hooked and literally couldn't put it down until I reached the end. How can one book hold such good characters and such evil ones?
