Sloan dreads a future of selling bongs and tie-dye at her parents’ head shop. Her only hope to escape is a letter from Edgewood University that she’s too afraid to open. Making her senior year more complicated are the feelings she’s developed for Derrick, her best friend’s brother. And everyone knows that BFBs are off limits, right?
Derrick had a plan: go to MIT, solve the world’s problems, and forget about the crush he has on Sloan, his brother’s best friend. Too bad scholarships weren’t as abundant as the french fries in his family’s diner. Plan B: get an internship at Bio-Core and admit his feelings for Sloan. But fate has other plans as he learns that there are stranger things than androids strolling the streets of Ashwater.
Full of mystery, humor, and alternative eighties’ music, Evolution is the third book in Melissa Koberlein’s captivating Ashwater series.
Fans of Fireflies, The Kissing Booth, and Riverdale will love it!
Hello! I write rom-coms and light science fiction with humor and heart. I embrace my romantic 'geekiness' and enjoy sharing it with the world. My passion for stories comes from an imaginative childhood where every day ended with a book. If you're looking for romantic and funny, that's me.
What’s NOT to like about Evolution!! This is the 3rd book in the Ashwater series and includes crossovers from Melissa Koberlein’s Fireflies series!! I am a HUGE fan of ALL of Melissa’s work (Fireflies series, Raven’s Sphere, Deadlock, and Ashwater series), but this is by far my FAVORITE so far!! This time, we are following Sloan and Derrick on their wild and crazy journey to becoming MORE than just friends. There is just one problem, Derrick’s twin brother and Sloan’s BFF, Luke! As if Derrick’s internship at Bio Corp isn’t challenging enough. As with the 1st two books in this series, there is a playlist on Spotify that goes with this book. Super STOKED for the next book to be published next year (fingers crossed) ☆☆☆☆☆☆ xo
