Job to job, patient to patient, each has a story to be told: the sad ones, the happy ones, the irritating ones, and the damn right weird ones.

Just a little about myself, well to start I am a huge fan of fiction books. I love to read and escape the world after a days work. I work as a paramedic in London. I love my job. I started writing short stories as a young child and after a particularly hard day at work I decided to write my experiences as a student paramedic down on paper. That's how Just A Few Bumps was created. I found writing such a relief that I continued writing stories and wrote my first fantasy fiction novel The Book Of Death. The story of Molly Black a paramedic in London who falls into a new world filled with magic and mythical creatures. I told you I like to escape from reality!

This is one of the better "medical" stories I've read this year.
Just A Sharp Scratch is a book of an EMT's experience. There are some interesting patient stories.
Nash does a GREAT job at telling these stories with compassion and tact. I've read stories in the past where it felt like the author was forgetting they were writing about a real life human. But this one was brilliant. It's novella-length - just about 126 pages. I've found that books this length make it so much easier to stay engaged and interested in what you're reading.
I'm definitely going to read others by this author!

Good insight regarding emergency care through a Pandemic
A heartfelt personal account of working for an ambulance service during the covid-19 Pandemic. As a fellow Paramedic I can agree with the writer that this was an accurate account of how our practice changed but our care and drive never changed.
Good read.

Gripping
I couldn’t put it down. Read on a couple of hours.

Enjoyable read
Another great book! Well written with heartbreaking and heartwarming true stories and an insight into paramedic lives during a time where everything was uncertain and a bit scary.

An interesting insight to the like of a paramedic, including the ups and downs. More books need to be out there about the life and role of health and social care workers. Maybe then people will realise how underpaid and under appreciated we are.
