With their island home now more or less established, our multiverse castaways now turn their attention to the mainland. The need to expand their markets, and better understand their new world brings new and unprecedented challenges, dangers and opportunities. How will they cope in the wider world? Will the find themselves over matched by the might and splendor of the centuries old and established centers of wealth, power, and culture of the regions ruling city states? Or will they find eager trading partners and welcoming markets for their exotic and revolutionary products and ideas?
I was a great book. But I expected that from this serie. I enjoyed the new prospective of this story. Different points of views are always entertaining. Thanks.😄
I really enjoy these modern men being sent to primitive worlds tales. I used to muse about that very thing! But here is a thoughtful look at what it would really take to do such a thing, and I am content to read about men who are able to do such things, and absorb the lessons of reality from a brilliant author whose mind works at a higher level. Excellent fun, and so refreshing compared to most science fiction of today.
it just seems logical that a parallel universe man might have similar beliefs, but different enough as to appear strange. all misunderstandings grow out of customs that are different and tend to turn into reasons for war. Three of eight people on this trip of intellectuals being Jewish should not be a surprise to that reader.
This is a great series. As I write this, I have finished all 8 books. It has science, adventure, action, great character development. So sort of spoiler alert. It combines science - religion - myths together to form a wonderful story line. You won’t regret reading the series.
An interesting and enjoyable read, a twist on the usual “ alternate world” story. An excellent storyline and character development. A fun read that keeps you interested. Highly recommended.
Good book!! I don't know how Eli is going to keep it up (pun intended). I would have given 5 stars except for the awful correcting / proofreading . Example:: comnong vs. Common. Somewhat distracting.
I should be his publicist. I’ve yet to read a book or series of books from him that I didn’t thoroughly enjoy. My only disappointment is when I’ve finished reading all his books. That and the fact that I’m pretty sure that I can read his books faster than he can write them.
