'Adahy'- a historical fiction fantasy epic by Justin Eggen
“In Adahy, Justin Eggen meshes historical fiction with real events in a way that transcends a life already lived through the toils of war and the search for self.” – Charlie Moose, USMC Veteran and acclaimed author/poet of ‘Lava A Fight for Fallujah’ & ‘Poet Didn’t Know It’.
In the summer of 1773, Adahy embarked in search of his father's blood brother Major Thomas Young of Boston, per his mother's dying wish. Equipped with a beautiful black mare named Raven and an arsenal of weapons with the skill set to wield them, he quickly finds the atmosphere across the thirteen colonies is not how he remembered in his youth. The quick-tempered half-native, half-English young man encounters friends, enemies, lovers, drunkards, and powerful elites on his fortuitous journey. Soon he inadvertently uncovers the truth about his past and the ominous secrets history has hidden away from civilization.
Justin Eggen was born in Florida, USA, in 1989. He is best known for his award-winning 'War Poetry,' written from his experiences in the Marine Corps in Afghanistan searching for Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), and the gritty short story 'Teufelhunden:1918', as well as the 'Adahy Saga.'
