A nice change of pace to my review of the first volume, THIS installment actually starts to show semblance of a plot getting underway! Unfortunately, in some regards it feels too-little-too-late, because the world-building and explanations for any of the story's elements are still hamfisted and awkwardly just given to us in the middle of what are meant to be very intense action scenes.
Honestly, while I enjoyed this volume better than the first (certainly it was more entertaining,) the majority of it felt like a two- or three-part episode from an anime that is confused about what genre it's supposed to be in. We find our characters Drake, Hanee, and Elete [the "bunny girl"] aboard a flying ship, and are introduced to an important stowaway onboard. Havoc ensues when the stowaway is discovered, and it's evident from the moment she's introduced that she's meant to become an important companion character. [We get an almost obscene number of panty shots from her by the way, which is more than a little disconcerting, given she looks incredibly young.]
We stay with the airship for almost the entirety of the book after that, as a nightmare attack takes up most of the pages. A small chunk at the end of the book hints at what the possible motivation of all the nightmares might be, and we are briefly introduced to the character of Rosemary, her doll Elizabeth, and then get a teaser of more characters that may appear in the third volume.
Again, not the most cohesive or easy-to-follow plot (and it's difficult to see where the plot is going in the first place!) but at least this was entertaining.

Better story vise and more backstory than vol 1, still feel this nostalgia like feeling even tho this is the first time I read this as it reminds me of a lot of stuff I read and watched as a kid, really enjoying this tho it is very early 2000 haha.

Still lost but thats ok. I can follow enough that I like the story line
