C'est à une passionnante et poignante aventure que nous invite l'auteur, Najib al Kilânî, dans ce roman intitulé Layâli Turkestan en arabe (Les nuits du Turkestan) que nous avons choisi d'intituler " L'histoire des Ouïghours " afin que le grand public se penche sur un roman qui, très tôt déjà, alertait l'opinion sur la triste histoire subie par les Ouighours entre les années trente et les années cinquante, comme si l'histoire n'était, finalement, qu'un perpétuel recommencement. Mais laissons l'un des héros de ce roman, le général Uthmân Batûr nous donner son point de vue..

Though this may be a fictional story, its underlying message is profound. Few things are as admirable as a people willing to face death to secure the liberation and sovereignty of their land. Their faith in Allah is inspiring, and it reminds us of the vital importance of standing up for what we believe is right. Their trust in Allah is paramount for building a deep faith and a meaningful relationship with God. Overall a great story, keeping the souls of the Turkestanis alive !

L'histoire triste du Turkestan oriental raconté par un rescapé du communisme russe et chinois . Un récit émouvant qui ne manquera pas d'émouvoir les musulmans qui met en lumière l'injustice et l'horreur de la guerre .

3.5/5 sympa permet de connaître un peu mieux l’histoire de ce peuple mais l’histoire des personnages est peu ennuyante (histoire d’amour, retrouvailles, on fait vite le tour)
