When friends are enemies and enemies are friends, it’s hard for Cheyenne to know who to trust – especially within the FRoE.
NOTE: The Drow Prophecy was previously released as part of The Drow Hath Sent Thee.
Things are changing with Cheyenne’s mom and not for the better. A new rune appears on Cheyenne’s skin, and they know they have to do something.
And the poison Cheyenne’s fighting still hasn’t left her body. What to do next?
First, the Drow needs to figure out who’s a fake in the FRoE. Time to take out the trash and move the FRoE in the right direction before more war machines tear up the area.
Then reach out to a certain magical to see if he can help with the curse.
This has become the Drow halfling’s life. Will she be successful?
Okay, I'm a late bloomer who's a big DC comics fan and spent my childhood summers on the Jersey shore but I was born under a wandering star and have lived in different parts of America ever since. That's enough about me. Need to feel inspired today? Looking for something to make you root for an ordinary hero? I'm all about that in everything I write.
I love a good tale that makes me wonder about things and I love a story even more that leaves me feeling inspired or like I'm capable of doing more than I realized. That's my goal with everything I've ever written. Some of the stories I tell involve twisting, turning thrillers and others have a lot of magic.
There's something to be said for getting lost in another world and coming out the other side feeling a little better about yourself or the possibilities in front of you. That's basically the best part of life in a nutshell, no matter what kind of story I'm setting out to tell.
Once again, this book drew me in from the first page, and spat me out at the last!
Cheyenne is still having a hard time of it, made worse when her Mum, Bianca Summerlin, wakes up screaming, with yet another rune burning on her body.
Although Cheyenne is in just as bad a way, her Drow genes are helping her cope with the pain of her own wounds - which are totally different from Bianca's. But Cheyenne is determined to get this strange curse gone from her Mum, despite her Drow father, L'zar's 'help'. So she tries to find someone to help break that curse.
At the same time, Cheyenne is having to cope with getting all the info she can, about the boss of 'Sir', Major Guy Carson, in the FRoE.
Captain Les Thomas - the Uncle of her and Ember's neighbour, Matthew Thomas, who is a total whiz kid in Earth's tech Industry - and the next level up from 'Sir' in the FRoE, is the Earth-side Boss of the former Crown, Ba'rael, and the reason that so much Ambar'ogul tech has been able to be smuggled to Earth.
Cheyenne knows that the Captain has to be stopped, but in a way as to remove him from any influence he has with the FRoE.
This will be hard, but Cheyenne has her own set of people, within the FRoE, who are willing to help, once they learn about the Captain's treachery!
Once again, there was so much going on within this book. Those layers, upon layers, were woven with such skill, that it was hard to pull them apart, to discover all the underlying parts that were happening.
But, as I'm addicted to this great series, I want to go straight on to Book Fifteen: 'Enter the Drow', to discover just how Cheyenne, and her bunch of crazy friends, are going to make things right for Bianca, first, and then, hopefully, Cheyenne herself!
