I gave this five stars because it's good, but if you've read a lot of JMG, and the books that feature the Sphere of Protection specifically, a lot of this material is stuff is going to be familiar to you. There are some new crumbs and it's put together in a very nice way to follow it as a map of training, more so than DMH. Is it worth whatever you're going to pay to get those extra nuggets, if you shelf is already full? Only you can answer that.

The section on physical training is very sketchy, and the book and training laid out by it, assume you're going to pony up for the Sacred Geometry Cards.

A clear, concise introduction to a new path of occult training toward wisdom, revelation, and enlightenment.

The Golden Section Fellowship is a new system of inner development devised by the author, combining and synthesizing the approaches of other occult societies of the past in a manner intended to be relevant to the student of today. The traditions that it mainly relies on are those of sacred geometry and the symbolism of the Druids. The author is deeply versed in these and other occult traditions, and presents the material with authority and with clarity.

A key feature of the Golden Section Fellowship is that it is designed for individual study and participation. It does not, as yet, have group lodges or practices, although it may well do in the future. For now, the student works through the material at his or her own pace, with a combination of study, meditation, affirmations, active imagination (called scrying), geometrical constructions, and a few simple rituals. There is plenty to do, but how much you take on is up to you; indeed, the author envisions the student dropping in or out of the fellowship at will, perhaps leaving the studies aside for a time to take them up later--or not.

This book is intended to be studied along with two others by this author: The Sacred Geometry Oracle and The Occult Philosophy Workbook: A One Year Course in the Secret Wisdom. Those are excellent books; I have given this one 4 stars instead of 5 because it contains less material; about 1/3 of it is material from The Sacred Geometry Oracle added as appendixes at the back. This is a valid choice, since it allows the student to forgo buying the other book, but to me it made this book less powerful than the other two.

Nonetheless, this is an excellent work, and if you're attracted to occult study--that is, to pursuing a path to wisdom, revelation, and enlightenment--then you should give serious consideration to joining the Golden Section Fellowship. The world is like an iceberg; what we see is only a small portion of what is there. The occult traditions are devoted to teaching us about the parts we can't see yet. The Golden Section Fellowship is a serious and doable path to realizing that aim.
