Not a story
Just basically a series of lists about the 80s. Sure I can appreciate it, but I wanted a story. Glad this was a freebie.

If you loved the 80s and are near or turning 40, you've got to read this book. It's a great take on how growing old is an adventure, and the 80s was the coolest time to grow up. Told from the point of view of a Val, you can relive the styles, clothes, TV, music, and movies from the 80s decade. Much of the comments help you relive the memories as you reflect on how you've grown up and changed through the years.
Having personally started my Mid-Life Crisis, this book helped me rethink and reflect that growing older is a great adventure. It will make a great birthday present for any one 40 or 40 something. Or if you are approaching the big 4-0, it might just help you get through one of the big hurdles we all face, getting older. Which, can be pretty tubular, after all.

I read the Kindle version of this. Although I wasn't a Valley Girl, I do love the eighties and this book was an enjoyable memory of this time. It is a short, quick read. I think I probably read this within an hour or so. I wish it was abit longer, but it was nice remembering the movies, the music, the hair, the fashions, etc.
