This is a great story to read children about bravery. Ari has to get surgery done. He is scared but his mom reminds him that he is brave, he is strong and that he can get through it. Love the adventure through the jungle to explain bravery and how to use your imagination to help you get through tough time. The story also exposes children to learning that some people, children specifically, have medical issues and need to go to the hospital for care. Really enjoyed it. The illustrations are beautiful, bright, and colorful.
I enjoyed reading Ari’s journey. No doubt having your child in the hospital undergoing surgery is scary for the child and the family. Ari is scared but encouraged by his mom who reminds him he is brave and strong. During the operation Ari goes on an adventure dream which is exciting and reminds him he truly is brave and strong. I think families facing this situation will find this book comforting. This story takes a scary situation and turns it positive. Well done.
What an amazing book!! A must for those who have to face procedures. This will encourage children to be brave and strong. The glossary at the end is a great addition to the book. Would definitely recommend and believe that this book should be placed in all hospitals and doctors offices. Great job! Oh and the illustrations are impeccable
A sweet story about Ari- a brave boy conquering his hospital stay in his own way. A wonderful story for children to understand a hospital stay and how they can be brave in their own way.
