Ah, once again into the foray of Cheat Pharmacist, and once again, we're back to a good one.
I am keeping with the thought that any stories that focus on Mina are not very good. But thankfully there were no Mina stories in this one and it was more fun stuff.
In this one we had things like it being too hot and them needing to heal a wind spirit, and inventing a weather proof tent for everyone. Once again, there were no earth shaking storylines in this, but of course, there's not meant to be. The title has not been incorrect since starting this series. it really is a "slow life." after reading intense books it's nice to relax with this every chance i get as it's like a refreshing sorbert. inoffensive with a nice taste.
Minus Mina, i like all of the female characters and ejil is....okay. the main character is a bit dull, but i'm sure that's to keep him rather generic and make him somewhat insertable for the general masses.
If you're looking for something different in this volume, you're not going to find it. it's really the definition of "more of the same". but sometimes, that's okay. it's okay to spent 20 pages talking about inventing a tent or creating a potion to teach someone how to swim. sometimes you just need that relaxation.
This of course read insanely fast as usual and i got it done in 2 days. This is par for the course as not only is the language easy to read, but all the little issues are compartmentalized into small 7-20 page stories so they don't overstay their welcome.
All in all, loved this volume and hope the next one is like this (have to wait until august for volume 7 in English. Ugh) Will definitely keep reading.

Another peek into the lives of Reiji and his employees and friends, and while it's not the most exciting thing out there, if you've read the other 5 light novels (or read the manga or watched the anime), then you know that excitement isn't what you're after. :)
Mina learns to swim, the town of Kalta gets a new specialty item for adventurers and Noela gets a secret base, there's a heatwave, Drills deals with motion sickness, and of course Reiji is at the heart of all of it, solving problems as only he can.
It was a fun read, and I'm looking forward to book 7 when it comes out. Not just because it's a great series that is fluffy, fun, and has great characters, but there is something that is brought up a couple of times while Reiji is taking care of the heatwave and I can't wait to see how this comes into play...
I thought this book was a little better than a couple of the ones before it, which is why the 5 stars. I'm still struggling with many of the female characters who want our intrepid pharmacist's interest and attention, but it didn't seem as bad this time around. But I do definitely recommend this series. It is a lot of fun packed into a light read.
