Some allow the spirits to control their actions. Some rely upon their morality to escape the specters that confront them. Other just get lucky.

These short stories were interesting and very horror focused. I found some of the characters to be a difficult to relate to/empathize with at times, but I don't think it took away from my overall enjoyment of the stories too much. I found the demon linking the stories together to be an interesting touch, though the descriptions of her were hard to follow sometimes. Overall, not a bad read by any means, just not a favorite. 3.5/5 ⭐️

A great collection of short stories that kept me engrossed. Compelling, original, memorable. A good mix of stories kept my interest up. Overall, I enjoyed reading this fascinating book.
