Xavier Lee has a medical condition that has isolated him since birth and now that he's 16 there maybe a glimmer of light. It's been a long friendless path but with a new medical procedure he might recover... only the procedure takes 2 years and immobility. The answer is to play Nova Terra a mmorpg and by entering a gaming pod. It's the perfect solution...
Xavier gets to it, setting up his online name "Thorn" and race only to find that once his size and strength had been accounted for by the AI his choice of races was reduced to a single selection, Titan an impossibly large and overpowered race. Where upon Thorn enters Nova Terra. In spite of the warning that players could be cutthroat. Thorn plans on playing solo delighting in his freedom. Freedom from caregivers and aunt and most importantly the freedom to move without pain!

...Since I had the set, I found myself jumping right back into the action and right back into the story exactly where Titan left off. And although I enjoyed Titan a lot, it's really Greymane that cinched it for me. Betrayed and left for dead Thorn's body and spirit are hurt, but not broken, and instead of quitting as his team expected him to do Thorn's determined to play the game. Now with the backing of a forgotten God and wearing the title Greymane he's gonna finish the quest he's been given and he's mad.
Full disclosure I'm a sucker for the adorable little Battle pet Akira that Thorn gains. When he accidently knocks the tree down, Akira nested in. I mentioned that Titans are an overpowered race, didn't I.
So if you like audio books grab this set! Set back and enjoy! Because Eric Jason Miller has a story for you.
Grab the book to find out how that works out...
Ohhhh and yeah Eric Jason Martin voice performance is epic.

...After finishing bk2 Greymane I was more than ready to pick-up and read Kingbreaker! Surprisingly Kingbreaker dived into more of the political machinations of Nova Terra. But don't get me wrong the political intrigue doesn't get in the way of this action-driven story.
So grab the book to find out what happens next!

Here's a couple of quotes that I liked...

“Thorn, only two people don’t have to play power games, the powerless, and the all-powerful."

“Or maybe he should just throw boulders at people. Like a walking siege engine.” Mina laughed."

Book1 Nova Terra: Titan --> ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I was mighty SCARED at this point. My heart ached for MC. He's so young, considerate, kind and trusting. He didn't deserve this.

Book2 Nova Terra: Greymane --> ⭐⭐⭐
Makes no sense to me to have this huge battle this early in the series. MC is lucky and hardworking, no need to have made him overpowered too

Book3 Nova Terra: Kingbreaker --> ⭐⭐⭐
Hmmm as expected, the big battle early on in the series was to make way for more world building and to have the characters interact more with the world and have the inter-character relationships come secondary. I wasn't too keen on this but I am enjoying the execution so far
