How many times have you heard or read a news report that made you think, “You just can't make this stuff up. What could they possibly have been thinking?” People often involve themselves in a chain of events that leads to unforeseen consequences simply because they want to take what they think is the easy way out, or they want to take what they think is a short cut to wealth or fame. I'm fascinated by this tendency, and it's the jumping off place for my fiction.

Great Story, Plenty of Action

KD Thorne finds herself at a serious crossroads. She's still active duty military, but because she screwed up in her last assignment, she is casting about like a rudderless ship. With no real direction to guide her she's become reckless. Visiting every military-current and/or former-hiring expo has left her with few options. Then KD gets a call from the National Defense Agency Deputy Director with a lifeline she grabs. It's a job that gets her back in the game. And now KD's ex-husband (Frank) wants back into her life. The same ex-husband who divorced her because he wanted kids and she didn't. While they get some closure, KD is keeping Frank at arm's length. That's a lot of things to juggle. KD's doing well at it. But missing nerve agent brings alot of travel, intrigue and action to her and Blunt's lives. Especially when said nerve agent possibly falling into the wrong hands could spell international disaster. Face-paced, dangerous storylines and well-developed characters keeps the reader engrossed and involved start to finish.

Quite a good read. I thought the plots unravelled quite easily and predictably but an enjoyable read.
