Mrs. Hokstad-Myzyri is a mom of two from Norway. Her first book "Kate the Kitty Goes Potty" was inspired by her youngest refusing to use his potty. Now it has become a book series for toddlers, and the second book will publish in August 2021.
In addition to being a mom, she is a licensed child care professional who runs her own child care blog and publishing house, Grow Down Publishing. She currently works as an EFL teacher at a high school in Trondheim, Norway.

Delightful Read with Fun Illustrations
Kate the Kitty Beats Boredom is a wonderful children’s story which follows Kate and her friend as they find ways to make the ordinary extraordinary. We all know children can quickly become bored / disinterested in cleaning up or chores. But Kate the Kitty shows how it can be fun and is a prime example of how imagination can make even the most boring activity fun. Another excellent read from this author. Highly recommend.

Nice story
This is a good story with a character that is relatable to children. As we all know, there aren't too many kids that like chores. Also, the author includes comprehension questions which I think is a plus. I look forward to seeing what Kitty the Kat will be up to in the next book.

Pretend play saves the day!
Such a practical book that shows kids how to use their imagination to overcome obstacles and control their emotions. Pretend play saves the day and has done for me many times as a mum to a 5yr old. I love how the book uses practical and relatable examples for kids!

A very clever book
Chores are not always fun. We have all been there. This book teaches kids to use their imagination and have fun while cleaning their room, setting the table, and even grocery shopping. Kids and parents will love this!

I really enjoyed reading this story! I love how the author made everyday things fun! I plan to use the idea about cleaning up toys as “picking flowers” I really loved that. This is a fun book for kids and will help them be creative and use their imagination!

Fun read!
Kate the Kitty beats boredom is a fun read and it teaches kids to be creative amidst boredom. My daughter learned some great ideas while reading this book with me. I recommend this book for young reader ! Great work!

Nice book
Kate and Billy learn to have fun and beat boredom. They do things together and make it fun. This is a cute book that helps children to learn to have fun in whatever they do. It makes it easier for them to enjoy and they learn from the experience too.
