This devotional is a must read for fellow hurricane survivors or anyone struggling with the storms of life. I appreciated that each memoir was tied together with the devotional at the end. I very much related to many of the short memoirs. I loved the dedication before the beginning of the devotional.

This Christian book is a collection of short, real life stories of women using their pain for good. Talk about turning beauty into ashes!!

For those of you who live in Southwest Louisiana, this book is a must-read. Andrea wrote it in the aftermath of Hurricane Laura. My eyes started to well with tears as I read the introduction alone. Andrea brought me right back to nearly a year ago when life as we knew it came to an abrupt end. Yet, the stories in her book offer a message of hope, perseverance, and endless faith. I highly recommend it!

The impact each of the stories give is empowering. Each story enlightens the strength that if they can overcome so can you. Page after page is filled with heart felt appreciation for what God can do in your life if you let him. We have to let him be the anchor of our soul in order for us to be restored. I believe that this book is a good way to open your heart for what He can do for you!

What an amazing collection of testimonies from women who have anchored their lives in Jesus! I love how each story shows God’s ability to redeem and turn our pain into purpose. Would definitely recommend to anyone! :)
