Daisy The last thing I expect when I return to my hometown in Colorado is to be accused of stealing by the new sheriff. Drayton Saunders is big, blunt - and totally beddable! But I'm back to take care of my sick mom, not get all hot and bothered over the local sheriff, no matter how unexpectedly sweet and sexy he turns out to be. There's a reason I left Garland three years ago, vowing never to return - but can the love of my sexy sheriff convince me to stay - for good?
Drayton My only priority is ensuring the safety of my residents, which leaves no time for love. Besides, an horrific tour in Yemen has left me with too much baggage and too many scars for most women. My heart has been flatlining for years - until five-and-a-half feet of curvy perfection by the name of Daisy Jenkins walks into my dad's bar and breathes new life into the dormant muscle in my chest. But Daisy has scars of her own - scars that sent her running from Garland three years ago. She's used to being let down by most people in her life - but she's about to discover that I'm not most people. I just hope my love will be enough to persuade her to stay and build a new life here - with me.
This is a sweet, sexy, and safe short instalove story with no other man/woman drama, no cheating, and a guaranteed HEA. Daisy and Drayton fall fast, and they fall hard, giving you all the feels you've come to expect from The Claiming Series and Violet Rae.
I thought this was a nice little read. Nothing really blew me away but it was a standard VR claiming book and I enjoy those in general. I didn’t like that there really wasn’t a dark spot. It’s always so boring to me when the relationship is all smooth sailing. But if you’re looking for something sweet and simple this is for you.
Violet Rae knows how to spin a story and capture your heartstrings!! Drayton and Daisy are sweet, silly, and so ultra sexy!! With her horrible home life with her abusive and alcoholic mother, Daisy finds the love and family she needs in Drayton and his father. So sweet!!
Plot: Daisy has moved back home to take care of her alcoholic mother. Things aren't going so well in that regard, but she has a new job at a local bar. She meets the owner's son, who also happens to be the local sheriff. They don't exactly hit it off right away (well, he sticks his foot in his mouth something fierce), but he jumps in to help her when she needs it and they both find that maybe a soulmate is within reach after all.
Commentary: I was looking forward to this one after reading Claiming Lily - I wanted to find out about Daisy's situation. Dealing with her mom like that must have been so difficult. I can't imagine what it would be like to essentially lose someone to a disease but also to lose what you imagined your childhood to be. Her mom's words really obliterated her perception of all those memories, good and bad. I felt so sad for her, having to live through that. So it was a good thing Drayton was there for her (along with his dad) at that time.
Every Claiming book I've read has been an amazing read. I have not been disappointed one bit. Violet Rae has just joined my list of favorite instalove authors. I love the way she builds up her storylines and how she draws out her characters personalities. Daisy returned home too Garland at the behest of her "mom". But while working at the Hideaway bar she meets Sheriff Drayton under not so good circumstances. But the attraction between them had taken hold. And that old saying, the heart wants what it wants, was sooo true in their case. Daisy and Dayton's story is one of my favorite out of the series. No spoilers. But there's somthing special about Drayton that makes him so real and lovable. Daisy was the perfect woman to heal his heart and connect with his soul. Like I said this book was one of my favorites of series. If you haven't read this series by all means please check them out. There is guaranteed HEA in each book and you will be disappointed.
Our FMC Daisy gives up her life to move back to her hometown to look after her ill mother who is sick because of her own doing. I understand addiction is a difficult disease but her mother was not redeemable, she was awful. She physically abused Daisy who was trying to get her sober and paying her bills for her while her mother emotionally abused her by saying things like she was an unwanted mistake, she was only alive because she left it too late to get an abortion and more. Her mother also locked her out of the house in dangerously below freezing weather and she almost died. Thank heavens for Drayton, our sexy, protective, and lovable ex military and current sheriff. He falls for Daisy right away and is loyal from day one. He supports Daisy physically and emotionally and is so loving while also taking her away from her horrible mother. He is a true Alpha protector and very swoon worthy. I love that our girl was still a virgin and the sex scenes were 🥵 This is on my read again list!

This is book number 3 of the Claiming series and focuses on Drayton and Daisy. Daisy is back in her hometown after 3 years away to look after her mom. Drayton is also back as the new sheriff after his time in the service. As soon as Drayton sees Daisy he feels things he has never felt before and puts his foot in his mouth with her. Thankfully, he makes that right rather quickly and works to make her his. Daisy is dealt with such an awful mom that my heart absolutely broke for how she treated her. I'm so proud of the strength Daisy showed while dealing with her mom. Drayton and Daisy were absolutely perfect together! This was a fantastic addition to the series.

Daisy is back in her hometown to take care of her mother. She got a job at a local bar and meets Drayton there. However things between her and her mother go south and she ends up turning to Drayton for help. Drayton knew the minute he saw Daisy that she was the one for him so when he saw that she called him for help he was there. There wasn't any happy memories for Daisy in her hometown until Drayton so she decided to take a chance with him. Will they both find their happy ending?
This is an amazing story that will draw you in from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

In this book we are reading about Daisy and the Sherriff. We were introduced to Daisy, the BFF to Lily, in "Claiming Lily". Daisy is a sweet girl trying to help her alcoholic mother who doesn't want help. This is instalove with little drama, and some steam mixed in. I will read the next "Claiming" book. I am liking this series. They are each standalone and you can read them any order but I am reading them as they come out. You can usually read them in one sitting and if you just want to pass the time with a quick read.

This is a short and sweet instalove romance sure to put a smile on your face. Daisy is a likable heroine. She’s a saint for putting up with her alcoholic mother.
Drayton is jaded and skeptical about most people since coming home from the military to be sheriff.
He’s instantly drawn to Daisy but makes a fool of himself meeting her. These two can’t resist each other and Mother Nature helps bring them together.
Short and sweet, sweet h, grumpy H, instalove, fast burn. Spice level 3/5. No cheating, no cliffhanger and a very nice HEA

I thought that this was a really sweet book. Daisy and Drayton were sweet yet steamy together. These two had a very unpleasant introduction but either get the other off their minds. Daisy has had a rough life while Drayton is still trying to heal and protect the town as sheriff. These two have a really deep connection and are there for each other when the other needs a shoulder. I did enjoyed this book and I would recommend it.

This story moved along well and although it was sad in places, the connection between Daisy and Drayton lifted it up. I really liked them as characters and believed in their connection and chemistry. I liked the respect and support they gave each other and that they didn't shy away from their feelings. It was nice to see Lily and Callum again too.

Dray is instantly smitten when he sees Daisy and she feels the same way. Howeve,r they are both dealing with demons from their past and will need to figure out how t deal with them if they are to be happy. I thought that Dray and Daisy wer quite cute together and this story was quite steamy and entertaining.
I received a free advanced review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my fair and honest opinion.
Daisy has come to town to look after her sick mother. She gets a job at the local bar, where the new sheriff accuses her of theft. Drayton has returned from the war with demons that have caused him to pull back from relationships, but Daisy may just be his saving grace. When her relationship with her mother falls apart, Drayton comes to her rescue. This is a great story and has both great characters and story line. I enjoyed it so much I just had to read the rest of the series.
Claiming Daisy is the third book in The Claiming Series. This is a quick novella with an insta-love story about Daisy Jenkins and Drayton Saunders. They are both old souls who have suffered a lot. But in each other they find love, understanding and belonging.
Dray and Daisy are my favourite couple so far in this series. A little drama/angst, but nothing to take away from the chemistry these two have between the pages. Wishing this book was just a little longer. Fun catching up with previous couples. And meeting possible future book boyfriends 😍
I was really starting to get into this author. But as I’m reading this book I noticed way too many quotes or conversations between the H and H that are not just similar, but seem to have been plucked right out of another story by another author and it makes me question how authentic her books are.
Daisy moved home to take care of her alcoholic mother. Sadly there is nothing you can do if they don’t want the help. Daisy went to work at a saloon in town. Drew was the Sheriff. As soon as he saw her he knew she would be his. After all the heartache Daisy has gone through she needed someone to love her. This is a beautiful story. Enjoy
Another super cute read from Violet Rae. Daisy has moved home to take care of her mom, but it’s hard to take care of someone when they don’t want help. Drayton enters Daisy’s life at the moment she needs him most. It is an instalove with all the romance and healing.
I’ve loved the Claiming series so far and Claiming Daisy doesn’t disappoint. Dray and Daisy are two tortured souls who find each other. The sparks and the magic fly at first sight and continue through to the Happily Ever After. I loved it.
I absolutely love the Claiming series!!!! They’re so relatable and Hot Hot Hot!!!! So glad they’re quick reads as well just in case I only have a little time to spare!!!! Very enjoyable!!!!!
I enjoyed reading Claiming Daisy. This was a quick and sweet instalove romance. The book was a sad Daisy dealing with her alcoholic mother. Drayton is the sheriff. This book is part of a series.
WOW! What a sweet and beautiful healing love story! I love Drayton and Daisy, they're just soo good and soo perfect for each other! Soo soo good and soo soo H.O.T I absolutly loved it soo soo much! Thank you for the bonus epilogue, loved it! 🥰🔥🔥❤❤😍
I loved Drayton and Daisy. Both of them needed love and caring. They found everything they needed in each other. Drayton found love and acceptance. Daisy found love and a new family. Their happy ever after ending is perfect.
This is a well written story with sweet characters. This is the first bokk by this author I have read I will be looking for more of her work. I would encourage everyone to get this one it is worth your time. I think you will enjoy this one I know I did.
