Hallelujah!!! All good rhymes and an excellent story. But one star off for having a whale shark as a baddy in a gang of other sharks (leopard shark, great white shark [or maybe blue shark] and hammerhead shark). The illustrations in this one were excellent and funny.
This phonics series is working well for early readers in building confidence. In this book, the whale tells a bit of a fib to get sharks to help him. That sparked an interesting conversation about how else the whale could get what he wanted.
