When Hollywood comes to Scotland, for the filming of a new epic tale of highland romance, the boundaries between reality and fairytale become blurred. It takes a brave heart to keep believing and this romantic comedy challenges you to find out if you too would be brave enough to trust your own heart.

Kat is a force of nature; a free spirited woman who knows how to have fun and never wants to be tied down. Kat, loves life, women, gin and sex although not always in that order.

Jennifer Michaels is an oscar winning American actress, often described as “one of the best actresses of her generation." At 53, she had led a full career but little is known about her personal life although that has never stopped the rumour factory.

When Jen arrives in Kat’s village she is handed an opportunity, to which she cannot say no. A simple “yes” sets in motion a series of events with an outcome, neither expected.

This slow burn, age gap romance with its festive cheer will leave you in no doubt what you’ll be asking Santa for this Christmas.

Wonderful!

This story is about Kat & Jen! Love them they have great chemistry! It gives you all the feels, it’s heartwarming, sweet, sexy, & hot! If you read the 1st book in the series we get more of Libby & Brogan too! This book will not disappoint! 😊

I love a good age gap romance story and this one lived up to all of my expectations. The flirting, the small touches, the picnic! All of it escalating into a beautiful love story made complicated by Jen's life in the spotlight.
Jen made me swoon and Kat made me laugh, especially with her clumsiness! It was beautifully written and their chemistry was palpable.
I'd love to read more about these two and their life together! I also was the recipe to Kat's triple chocolate cake!

This age-gap / wealth-gap romance has an interesting cast of characters to support the principals and the author has an amusing way of describing things. There are several extensive sex scenes and an opportunity to catch up with Libby and Brogan from the previous book. In many places this is a fun read.

However, there are some of issues. Once the couple gets to America the story loses its' way and meanders around through hiking, shopping and sight-seeing until Jen's inevitable bad move. Parts of this section of the story read more like a list of activities than a progression towards a dramatic moment. Even some of the sex scenes come across as time-wasting filler material. The couple get their HEA, but some judicious pruning towards the end might help sustain the sense of anticipation built up during the earlier parts of the story.

A great book that has it all

I really enjoyed this book, I won this book from the Romance week give away.

It starts off with a bang so to speak and gets you wondering about Kat. Later it comes to light what her motivations are in what she does. Then She meets Jen, her celebrity crush and things escalate rather quickly with the chemistry between them. Only fear came to play on both sides an I worries a bit there before the end of the book when things went side ways. But there is a HEA in the end, which made my heart glad.

Thank you for this amazing book, and now I will have to read the first one too.

This book holds your attention to the very end! You want to be there in the thick of it, to see what is happening. You also feel it is happening to you! We have all been there and know what it feels like to hurt and want someone so much. You can't eat and all you want to do is stay drunk and cry!! Until the pain goes away or they come back!!! And you are always afraid to love again! But this book can change that at any age!!1

A sweet quirky romance

This was a sweet romance where you least expect it. Unfortunately In LA even though there is a large lgbtq community they are mostly in the closet especially if they work in the business.LA is different glad I'm not there. This was a sweet romance spoiled by some internalised homophobia and fear. But there was an HEA.

Humor, love, desire, happiness and a little drama thrown in equals a terrific book. Loved the characters. Kat's humor had me rolling with laughter, a delicate flower she isn't. Jen a superstar in her own right. I had never read a Frankie Duncan book before but her writing was story telling at it's best.

I did not love this; it was fine. While the book was written well, with good characters, pacing and setting; I didn't get the chemistry between the characters. And without spoiling anything, the drama at the end was completely out of character. I couldn't believe Kat didn't know what to expect.

Delightful

Such a wonderful story! Kat is one of my favorite characters of all time. She and Jen learn that love overcomes all.

A fun age-gap romance, with a bit of closeted Hollywood at the end.

Someone is way too quick to forgive. It ruined the book for me.
