I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Daphne Young and Erik Sorensen. When this book open we find Erik the fire chief of fate mountain's fire department finding the crew decorating for Christmas. Erik has no time or desire for this holiday. In his younger days he had celebrated something close to Christmas and nearly died because of it. Since then he had avoided his clan and had ventured into the world alone. The one reason he had been out that night was in hopes of finding a mate now over 200 years later it looks like fate has finally smiled on him and given him a mate. What he didn't expect was a baby as well. Daphne knew the moment things got bad at her home they were only going to get worse. When her the phone her brother left keeps going off with messages from the mob about wanting their money she knows it is time to get out of dodge. With very few clothes and her brothers truck she goes as far as it will take her and walks away when the truck bursts into flames. With very little money and needing to get some quick she looks at the local adds for a job. When she finds a nanny position she knows this will work. When she learns the father of the nanny position is the man she learned is her mat the night before she wonders if this is all to much. Can these to find a HEA or will the people she is running from make sure that never happens?

So So Amazing. These characters draw you in from page one and won't let go till the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Daphne Young is on the run from the Mafia, her brother owes them a lot of money so they want her as payment. She makes it as far as Fate Mountain when her car dies and then explodes. With very little money to her name she manages to get a room for the night, but knows she needs to earn more and fast if she is going to survive. She has always loved children so when she sees a local job listing for a nanny, she applies. Erik Sorenson is a dragon shifter and Chief of the Fire Crew in Fate's Peak. He loves his job, but is shocked when a baby is dropped off on the steps of the fire house. Even more surprising is the fact that the baby is his own son. He realizes very quickly that he will need help raising his child so he puts an ad in the local paper for a live in nanny. His next surprise comes when he realizes that the young woman applying for the position happens to be his fated mate.
Wonderful characters that are well written and compelling. Fate may have had a hand in their meeting, but Daphne's past will come charging in and put her and Erik's son in danger. Exciting and steamy dragon shifter romance with a happily ever after. Fantastic book.

The couple: Erik and Daphne

Romance trope: shifter; fated mates
Series: Dragon Fire Crew
Length: 79 pages

Plot: Daphne is on the run from the mafia and needs a place to hide. Her luck seems to be turning when she answers an ad for a nanny - even if she has to lie a little on the application. That might not matter after all, though, because when she shows up at the job, it turns out that her new employer is also her fate mate.

Commentary: Cute, typical fated mate/shifter story. The one thing I didn't like was that it was mentioned every other sentence that Daphne was an orphan on the run from the mafia and who would want her. I get the low self-esteem, but my goodness, we get it! She's a 19-year-old orphan. Nobody will ever want her. She's on the run from the mafia. It was mentioned a little too much for my tastes!

Next book in the series: Surf Dragon

Daphne and the baby is at the grocery store when she sees her brother. They go home and she finally tells Erik to entire story. He changes her that night. That night there is fire and goes help. Erik is the chief of the fire department. He is surprised when someone drops off a baby and the fire department and it is his. Now he needs to find a nanny to help with the care of his son. Daphne is on the run. Her brother is involved with some shady stuff and as a result she is in danger. Daphne applies for the Erik's nanny position. As soon as Erik opens the door for Daphne he knows she is his mate. What are the odds that he has a son and meets his mate so close together? Erik can tell Daphne is hiding something. He wants to her to be comfortable enough to tell him but knows nothing will change how he feels about her. Daphne fears what will happen if Erik learns the truth. Because Daphne doesn't completely understand mates. There fore she doesn't realize that the truth won't affect how Erik feels about her. I loved this book. It was a quick read. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Amazing story about a dragon finding his mate

Erik did not like Christmas because he was almost killed by a dragon hunter at Christmas 300 years ago. Daphne is a human girl that was poor and that the mafia wants her want her to pay off a debt occurred by her brother Mark. She ran away.

As answered an ad for a nanny and went on mate.com. this led her to Erik her fated mate and Hagen Erik"s son.

But their are some problems they must solve first. These characters are unique, loyal, and caring. A fast paced drama that easily finished within a few hours with enjoyment. I liked that the voluntary fire department has several different dragon's. Erik is a fire breathing dragon, the next dragon is something else. I can't wait to get the next book in this series.

I would highly recommended this book.

Erik is a sexy Dragon shifter firefighter and he is chief of the Fate's Peak. Imagine his surprise when him and his crew discovered an abandoned baby abandoned in a basket out front of their fire station, then imagine his surprise when he knows he’s the Dad. Now he needs to find a nanny for his son.
Daphne is a sweet young woman who has a brother that is in trouble with the mob! When she finds out that they want to take her as payment for what her brother owes, she runs away and ends up in Fate's Peak.
This is the lead in to a exciting, steam dragon shifter romance that you will not be able to put down until you have finished it.

Into the arms of a dragon

This is the first book in the Dragon Fire Crew Series. Once again we encounter the Mate.com magic.
Erik Sorensen is a 350 yr old fire dragon, businessman and Chief of the Fate’s Peak Volunteer Fire Department. He suddenly finds himself a father in need of not only a mate, but also a nanny.
Daphne Young is running from the mob her brother owes money to. Since he won’t pay up Daphne is the prize. Now homeless, jobless and broke why not sign up for mate.com.
Will she find a match or have to get a job? I really enjoyed this story. Like all so Scarlett Groves other mate.com stories this one held my interest, was fast paced and had a nice storyline. It is well worth the time to read it.

Fleeing the consequences of her brother's sordid deals, Daphne finds an opportunity that can change her luck, but will she be able to trust what fate offers her or will she remain convinced that only in herself can she trust? Erik has a new responsibility, one that he alone cannot attend, and it seems that after a long wait, his mate has finally arrived, but the woman was hiding something. Interesting and entertaining this first story in the new dragon shifters series. Secrets, romance, passion and a satisfying HEA. Voluntarily reviewed this copy that I received free from Bookfunnel and I liked.

A 19 year old and a 350 year old dragon.....Old much???? Doesn't matter when said man is hot, not to mention a billionaire!

Daphne is interviewing for a nanny position and when she gets there she realizes he is the man she has been matched to on mate.com. Eric is the fire chief and a 350 year old dragon, but Daphne isn't thinking about all that well.....She's got a hot hunk with an infant son, who could ask for anything more. She's got an instant family plus a dragon to protect her from the mobsters that are after her thanks to her brothers gambling.

Eric is over the moon, he has finally found his mate after waiting 350 years!

He'd waited centuries to find his mate. No help from mate.com. Still, part of his dream of a family is left on the firehouse doorstep. Yes, a baby and it is his. You'll need to read to find how that happened. While he's a great fire chief, taking care of his baby son is new to him. Nanny! That's what he needs.

She's running away with no place to live. No job. Even worse leaving her near the town he's in. She sees his ad for a nanny and that she can do. Will they match up?

A touching story with love, baby, danger, and more.

One day, a baby is dropped off on the steps of the firehouse. With one sniff Erik know that this his son. On the day that he is interviewing for nanny, he meets his fated mated. Could the fates have blessed him in one day?
Daphne's on the run from the mob due to her brother's actions. Can she trust that fate has led her to her fated mate? Will her past come and destroy it all.
I enjoyed this story. The characters are well developed. The world building is great and looks to grow more with each story.
I am looking forward to seeing what else is in store for the fire crew of Fate's Peak.

Will daphnie tell the truth.

Daphnie is on the run from bad men who want her because of her brother. Her car breaking down seems to be a good thing for her but she could be putting the whole town in jeopardy. Erik has often wished for his fated mate but hasn't had much luck in his 350 years. With a baby he has only known about for one day and his role as chief at the local fire station, his life might be changing. I love a good dragon shifter book. The story was great and I sort of fell in love with the lead character. Can't wait to read more in the series.

A Small Town and a Dragon Gets His Queen

Daphne's father left them and her mother died of cancer. Her brother got mixed up with dealing drugs for a mob family. He disappeared and since he had told her the mob would take her for the debt, she runs. Erik had just got his son and put an ad in the paper for a nanny. She applied and when she went for the interview, he knew she was his mate.

A Christmas in July story. Our Fire Chief got the best Christmas gift of his life: a son and his fated mate whom he have been searching for for three centuries. Fate delivered Daphne into his own home just when he needed her. Looks like fate played a big role in their lives even with the babies.

It’s a good read, I can’t wait for the next read.

Hot dragon

A brand new series that takes place in Fate's Peak. This time the main characters are dragon shifters, my favorite.
Book one stars Eric Sorenson as a fire dragon and Daphne Young who is human.
The book contains family, lies, betrayal, babies, mafia, love and so much more.
I will be reading every book in this series as they are released!

A few questions popped in my mind and the answers would have provided more closure for me at the end of the story but to mention them would be a spoiler. This is a 3.5 stars for me. I liked the story but it needed better editing. I had to look at some of the sentences and substitute the correct words in my mind.

I loved it! It is a great beginning for a new series. A wonderful hero with an equally strong heroine. It is really good to read stories about women who don't just wait to be saved but save themselves. Keep the books coming. I can't wait to see the next one.
