Manuel “Manix” Abrera graduated with a degree in Fine Arts from the University of the Philippines–Diliman. He is the author of the daily comic strip Kikomachine Komix in the Philippine Daily Inquirer, and the weekly webcomic News Hardcore in GMA News Online. He has currently authored twenty books and has won the National Book Awards for his wordless graphic novel 14, comics compilation News Hardcore, and comics compilation Kikomachine Komix 14: Alaala ng Kinabukasan. It's sad to say but after a decade of reading Kikomachine Komixs, I may have finally outgrown the series.

I found myself struggling so much to finish this (and even the previous book). The experience was no longer as enjoyable as it was when I was younger. I will continue to support Manix in his future endeavors but I guess this is the end for me and this series. It was a great decade!

I don't know why I found this underwhelming. It's still witty, full of outrageous and hysterical events, and the artwork is still top-notch but I guess it lacked the punch that the other books in the series have. Or maybe I'm just so stressed in life that no attempt at levity can erase it. Maybe it's the latter. Whatevs.
