Why Church Matters: Going All In with the Broken yet Beautiful Body of Christ

Rate this book
People have all kinds of ideas of what the church is (a building? a support group?), and many will claim to love Jesus and yet not see the need for the church. But when we see what God says about the church in His Word, it becomes clear the church matters even more than we might understand. In this book, Mark Hallock and Aaron Weber explore what the church is, why it is so important, and how you can find a healthy one to give your life to. By looking at the church in the Bible and throughout history, the authors show that while the church is broken, it is also beautiful, and worth going “all in” for. As you read through the pages of this book, we pray the Lord would give you a new or renewed passion and vision for the church, for the body of Christ.

This short book does an excellent job of making the case for the importance of the church for the Christian and holds great reminders for regular attenders and those who rarely attend.

This is a fantastic primer on the history of the local church, and the importance of being involved in a local church. I highly recommend it to pastors and church members alike!
