What is better than a second chance at love and rescuing wonderful animals? That is why I adore this series, although it is heartbreaking what happens to these animals and it does in true life too.
He comes back to his hometown and begins working for the WAPA, trying to rescue animals in trouble.
She came to report on the story, but never expected to end up working with her sweetheart from high school. The one who left for the army!
An entertaining story with a little suspense, a lost love found again and of course the rescue of beloved animals!
I've always liked second chance books. Usually it means there has been some misunderstanding involved or the couple was too young or something of that nature. This time I had kind of a hard time with the hero. Ryland is a flirt and a playboy. He keeps everything on the surface when it comes to relationships with women. He seriously dated Josette in high school but then one day he just up and left her to join the Army without telling her and it's been 15 years. Ever since then he's always serial dated, flirted with tons of women and not committed to anyone. When he sees Josette again after being transferred to his hometown for his job, she is justifiably angry and hurt. They have to work together on a project and she sees that he's still a flirt and he's even canceled a date on a women since he's been in town. Josette thinks he hasn't changed and Ryland keeps saying he has! I don't know but personally, if I were Josette, I would have walked away. She did for a while and then she comes back. I know it's fiction and it's about second chances but personally, I just couldn't be with a guy that had that type of history! Also, I wanted more of the WAPA action in the story. That's the part that I love about these agents - their animal stories!
A second-chance gem. I have to say I really like this series and this book is a great addition to it. Josette and Ryland’s their story had drama, action, suspense, and wonderful romance woven into a story that highlighted the issue of the selling of animals on the black market. It is a second chance for them and I must admit I was rooting for them. I love how it was written, the interactions between the characters was great. I highly recommend this book. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it
As always Jenna Brandt draws you into her stories. I have to admit little alligators are kind of cute but I’m not overly fond of the bigger ones, but she makes you really care about what happens to these animals. The illegal exotic pet business is big money and anytime you interfere with the money chain there are big problems. That is what both Josette and Ryland are passionate about and could make a powerful team but first Ryland has to convince her he is not the person who left her directly after high school. I enjoyed this story.
This is a wonderful addition to the Wild Animal Protection Agency series. Josette and Ryland's story is so much more than a second chance romance, it draws attention to the black market sale of exotic animals. It has just the right amount of drama, action and romance to keep you turning the pages. I received a complimentary copy of this book and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
Rescue Agent for Josette is an clean, second chance romance with an element of danger. Bayou animals are being poached and sold on the black market. It is Agent Ryland's case, but Josette, his high school sweetheart, is the reporter assigned to shadow him and get the story. This book highlights the plight of black market animals and has just the right amount of drama, intrigue and romance to keep you reading right through to the end!
Always love a second chance romance and this one did not disappoint when Josette and Ryland come together to track down a exotic animal ring who are poaching animals. She is the reporter assigned to follow him as he tracks down those responsible for the black market animal ring. Loved the story that exposes the people that capture animals for profit and loved both characters and the fact that they get a second chance at romance was the cherry on the top.
After being away for fifteen years, Ryland returns to his hometown as a wildlife protection agent with the WAPA. Hearing commotion in the outer office of the agency, he went to see just what was going on. Ah – there was his high school sweetheart raising a stink over something the agency was lagging behind on. What can he do? What could she do to help? Interesting subject matter and outcome. Great series.
Ryland and Josette have a history, he left to join the military and left the bayou and she became a journalist and animal activist. So when Ryland and his K-9 of WAPA come to Louisana to look into the illegal exotic animal traders he runs into her again. Not the best of beginnings for them. Some action and a HEA.
This is my favourite of the WAPA series so far! I like the history between them, the personal growth that Ryland makes and of course the very gorgeous Phoenix! Romance, saving wild animals and a puzzle to solve and free on Kindle Unlimited...what more could you want?
This book is the story of a young man who left his home ,family and friends fifteen years ago to join the military and then became an agent for wildlife. He came back to Ferriday and worked there helping to get the leader of an exotic animal smuggling ring. Lots of mystery and intrigue in this story. This is my review and mine alone. Norma Gorrill
A great story featuring a news reporter and her ex boyfriend who returns to town to work on a wildlife protection case. Ryland is a serial dater and does not stay in one place for long. But when he is paired up with Josette he may have a reason to stay if Josette will forgive him.
I'm really enjoying this series and all the characters. I loved Ryland and Josette's story. These two fell in love in highschool but he left for 15 years. A great second chance romance that I read straight through.
