Revelation after revelation has left me wheeling. The truth about what we are—and what we need to do to escape—is almost too much for me to handle.
With only four circles left to complete, our group is more determined than ever to escape this hellhole we've found ourselves in.
But what if escape is only a fever dream?
What if there's really no way to bring the dead back to life?
One thing's for certain...
I'll need to rely on my guys—the brooding Aiden, the arrogant Tanner, the compassionate Beau, the lovable Kace, and even the mysterious Heath—if we're going to survive.
We've stumbled between life and death, managed to find our way beyond limbo, and now?
Now, we have to dig ourselves out from beneath the ground.
What other choice does this dead girl have?
This is the final book of a horror/bully reverse harem romance. It contains strong language and sexual situations, as well as MM themes. If you like your men a little broken and psychotic, your FMC a take-no-shit badass, and a plot that will leave you guessing until the very last page, then this is the book for you. Please see the introduction for a full list of triggers.
This was a fun and engaging series. The plot sucked me in as it was different and super interesting. I’m pleased with how everything worked out, it was a fitting end. It was really cool too that Bianaca and her men actually had an unknown history which was surprising but made sense in the end. Funny that it’s an academy read but they never once go to class 😝 Bianaca claims all her men finally and there’s even some MM situations making sexy times super hott. Really good RH trilogy.
This has quickly become one of my favorite Katie May series. I love all Katie May books, some a little more than others, but still, but somehow this series is so absolutely my thing. The plot seems a little vague at first, although it was quite easy to have an inkling of what was going on, but it are most of all the characters stealing the show. I was therefore really excited about this book, since it's the series finale and we would finally get some answers.
And answers we got! I have to admit that I was really surprised about this ending! I had absolutely NOT seen the twist coming. I somehow thought I had figured it out and was simply enjoying the ride. And then Katie May came out of nowhere with an ending I really had not counted on! And I loved it! I loved it so incredibly much! It all made so much sense. Much more sense than my ending would have made. Everything we learned and saw came together beautifully.
I was also once more reminded how sad this story actually is. Those characters really had the most horrible backstories EVER! If you do have triggers, be really sure to read the trigger warnings, because some scenes in this book are really not pretty and sometimes even quite sickening. Those characters really have been through stuff no teenager, kid or young adult should have to live through. I'm really glad they found the love they deserve with each other.
And even though the ending was different from what I had thought it would be, in a good way, I really liked all the character growth in the book without the characters changing personalities completely. All these characters had their own demons to battle and it almost felt like a honor to see them battling them, to see them learning and accepting that they do deserve better and that they can give especially each other better.
I want more atmospheric and character driven series like this!
What a great way to end the book! For a moment there I was scared, but I’m happy to see everyone got their HEA. I especially enjoyed the epilogue, and that much deserved surprise. This book really pulled at my heart strings watching everyone go through the rings, and facing their fears and deaths. It was so sad seeing some of the memories, but I loved how everything came together in the end with everyone. The story twisted together very nicely that made sense and wasn’t confusing at all. This series is great if you’re wanting an academy type book, but with a little twist. I highly recommend reading it!
Wow, this book was a fantastic final book. Added twists that had me gasping and grinning. I'm not sure if it was having more POVs but I felt like there was more on the characters in this book, which was missing for me in the prior books.
Build up for the relationships was missing for me, leaving it feeling more intsa love after initial push-pull with some, and it could have done more to lean into that broken characters who heal together trope that I love. But the suspense and mystery, wondering what's happening or around the next turn was quite enjoyable.
Wow. I never saw that coming. Any of it. But it makes so much sense! What am I talking about? I guess you’ll have to read to find out. And you definitely should read it. The entire series was well-written and intriguing, but the way it wrapped up in this one? Chef’s kiss. I loved it. I love these characters, and reading the end of their story is sad but also joyful. An amazing end to an amazing series.
I definitely did not expect that ending. Totally blindsided me.
I really enjoyed this series. This was the steamiest of the trilogy. It’s a 3/5 on the 🌶️ scale
It’s not dark, as far as I’m concerned.
The plot was quite fun, lots of unexpected twists and turns.
I couldn’t stand the FMC’s name to be honest, Bee-Ana-ca. Not Bianca. But that’s neither here nor there. It did irritate the shit out of me whenever I read it.
This is the 3rd and last book of this series! Omg this book kept me guessing every turn of the way. This whole series was a complete mind trick that had so many plot twists that I couldn’t keep them straight. It’s hard to review this book without spoilers, so all I’m going to say is this is a definite must read!
I was excited for this last book, but I must say there were some points in the book where I thought that the book would not finish or if so it would be finished sloppily.
Thank the demons, it finished just the right way, a HEA that makes sense.
Great series, good plot twist. I liked it *picasso*
She starts off the book saying if you think you know what’s going on you don’t. She added so many twists to this story, at times I didn’t know how she was going to make it an HEA. But she did. The series was a quick, but very entertaining read. I definitely recommend.
Literally sucks you in right away! The twists and the turns keep you wanting to turn the page instead of putting it down! So amazingly written and the complexity of the characters are keep you guessing.
That was a total mindfrock. I can’t believe the crap they went through but that mic drop when they hit the last circle was epic. I was so mad and confused I had to walk away from my tablet lol.
I only need to write 20 words or more but I am at a loss with this series!! Where to start what words that can express and where to start? So instead I'm am going to have to say, "YOU HAVE GOT TO READ THIS SERIES IT WAS OUTSTANDING" That is all goodbye! 😱
Absolutely loved this series! It was so good, so many twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat! I didn’t see that end twist coming but it all made sense when I thought back. Just loved it.
I feel like the author filled the spaces with sex, vulgar language, and violence. The characters were narrow and one minded. The ending was So bad that I simply didn't finish it.
What a unique and fascinating story has been told by this author. Her concept of Purgatory was a twisted tale that often left me guessing. I could not imagine this world without her fascinating way of telling a story.
Didn’t expect many things to happen like other books do! Very much love the plot . Except you never really embellish or talk about the creatures and what they were for in the book and why she doesn’t ask about them.
I stumbled upon this series after recently reading @katiemayauthor ‘s Mated by Fire series (side note: the way I am foaming at the mouth for the next book is insane 🤍🤣). This series was a hell of a ride. It took me on twists and turns I was not expecting! This book was so good and had me so hooked I read the whole series within 2 days. If you love RH, horror/mystery, and a strong FMC then this book is for you! My rating 5/5 🎀🤍
