Maureen Peters was born in Caernarvon, Wales, on March 3, 1935, and was married and divorced twice; she has two sons and two daughters. In addition to biographical fiction, historical romances, and mystery novels written under her own name, other noms de plume include Veronica Black, Catherine Darby, Levanah Lloyd, Belinda Grey, Elizabeth Law, Judith Rothman, and Sharon Whitby.
This book, of early 1980s vintage, from Masquerade Historical Romances author Belinda Grey reads like an abridged version of a Philippa Gregory Plantagenet and Tudor Novel, but with very little of the colour. I'm rating 'Proxy Wedding' a two-and-a-half star vintage romance read.
i just finnish reading this book. it was intesting. it never showed the heros point of view just the heroine. it is also set at a time of great unjustice. the death of edward 4th the stealing of the crown by richard 3rd and the murder of the rightful king and his little brother the princes in the tower. i didn't like the hero at the begining he was not very good with women but as his first wife was unfaith well it was still no way to treat his 2nd wife. the intrigue and everything was very intesting and kepted the story going but the romance there was little. thought the hero and heroine did spend some good days together was it really enough to fall in love. the intrigue is what made this book good but there was little romance really. so for romance i give it 2.5 stars out of 5 but as how good it was 4 out of 5 stars.
