Bruce Momanyi is a 41-year-old man on a good great job, huge perks, and an outwardly enviable Kenyan upper-middle-class family. However, one fatal trip to Facebook pokes holes in his illusion of a neat and well-organized family; there is a ghost in his closet, and it is big.Quick, thick, and fast, his life and that of his family take unpredictable forms. For him, it is disillusionment, pain, and sex that punctuate his next phase of life as he ventures into an incessant search for healing and love until he finds love again in a hot 22-year-old who drowns him in love.ReviewsSexorcised is Nyanchwani at his salacious best as a storyteller, serving a side salad of a story that sticks to one like a delicious sin.Tony Mochama, Author, 2063: Last Mile Bet, columnist at The Standard.Sexorcised is the mountain where love dies Where lovers come to heal, we all come home to ourselvesWounded. super novel

Silas narrates a sad story but uses humour and other twists and turns to enrich it and demonstrate his prowess in storytelling.

Sexorcised, as the name suggests, is a book about a man who, facing a divorce, indulges himself in copulation to help him cope. Based in a town in Kenya, the story narrates the tale of how the main character turns to compulsive sexual intercourse: from friends to hookers, to young girls and one-night stands, as he tries to comprehend how his absence pushed his wife away all while blaming her.
A guy who walks out of the marriage, having affairs with interns during work trips, ignores his shortcomings, and goes out of his way to find out who has been getting the attention of his wife and when he does, he deprecates them claiming that their status could not compare to what he has.
As interesting as it sounds, the book leaves a bad taste in one’s mouth on how the author portrays women in general. For instance, in one encounter he describes his sexual partner as none experienced, another does not know how to dress, another how to cook, claiming that they could all do better. And to his wife, who found love and affection in another man while the husband whored away, is punished by death through a plane crash at the end together with her youngest who is dubbed a ‘bastard’ by the main character.
