My rating is for the trilogy as a whole. This series is the the companion to Their Champion series. Set in the dystopian world called the Wastes, we finally get Piper and her mens stories. They briefly appear in the later books of the original series. As expected in a world where there is little to no laws, Piper is put through some tough times throughout the books. While the story is just as dark/twisty as the previous series, there was also a bit more humor than I expected.

Phenomenal

KA Knight is a new to me author. I started with Den of Vipers, highly recommended by my book bestie. I loved it. That led me to Their Champion, which I devoured in what seems like no time at all. Which leads us here, to Piper and her P Pals!! I loved every minute of this action-packed, emotional roller coaster. The feels are off the charts, and if you don't cry, then you are seriously messed up in the head. I love Piper and the things that she says. She definitely kept me laughing. The bond between her and the guys is beautiful. The action is edgy and will keep you coming back for more. The twists and turns will keep you on the edge of your seat. Katie has gained a fangirl for life and I am getting ready to buy her entire backlog. Good thing my husband has his own account and won't be seeing my purchases, lol!!

Fantastic books. I love Piper and her men.
Piper is of course a strong female lead who definitely has her quirks which you could never expect but keep you laughing out loud at the most inappropriate times.
These books work alongside the Champion novels and fellow leader Worth.
These books are brilliant.

Okay...so I'm reviewing this series in it's entirety because that was the copy I read (Their Champion Companion Novels: The Complete Series).

🔵Overall opinion - I really enjoyed the narrative, the character development, and the overall storyline. The spicy scenes weren't my favorite, and I surprisingly could've done without 90% of them (and that's coming from someone who ONLY reads spicy books). Generally speaking...it's A LOT like Fallout lol. I'm not a gamer, but my partner is and I've watched him play enough and watched the series that was made, to know that this storyline is very similar. I'm not sure which came first, and honestly I don't care to compare them lol. It's just a good read.

🔵General gist with minor spoilers - Piper (the main female character) is witty, snarky, sassy, and very naïve to the world in the beginning. She's a brat and whines a lot to get her way, then covers everything up with humor and jokes. She pushes people until she gets her way and that's how she ends up going out on patrol with "the guys" (no these aren't her "guys", this is just generally a male role in Paradise). So, everyone lives under ground in a vault basically, called Paradise and the patrol ventures out every now and then to scan for dangers and gather supplies, because the world is fu**ed basically (hello Fallout). Being on patrol leads to Piper figuring out A LOT of shady sh*t that's being done by the people running Paradise, and leads her into some hectic and unfortunate situations. After beginning one love scenario (due to the failure of another), she's thrown into "the outside" world (The Wastelands) and left to fend for herself. She begins exploring and discovering her own strengths, growing into a strong bad a$$ bi*ch.

Her savior's help launches the beginnings of her harem and the next chapter in her journey. Now she has to heal before she starts becoming a leader in her own right. She discovers more and more about The Wastelands, and slowly starts to take over/help one section/city at a time.

The biggest disappointment in this entire series is how quickly the author ends the story. It continues to build with each and every page, war scenes written so well you can watch them in your mind, and then all of a sudden within two chapters it's like "Okay, we're done." Like, what? I wanna know more about their life together as a family. Lame....In my opinion.

🔵Storyline - 5 stars - really well developed and thought out. It definitely reminds me of Fallout on MAAAANNNNNY occasions, but that's okay.
🔵Plot Twists - 3.5 stars - I don't recall and gasp moments, but I did enjoy the twists and turns throughout the storyline.
🔵Emotional Pull - 4 stars - I cried a couple times, leave me alone. lol.
🔵Writing Style - 4 stars - I really enjoy K.A.Knight's books and this one didn't disappoint.
🔵Denouement - 4 stars - the ending was abrupt and left a lot to the imagination, but all the storylines were definitely tied up nicely.
🔵Cliffhanger - N/A because I read the completed series as one book.
🔵HEA - yeah
