Since 1947 the men and women of the Canadian Forces have been involved in every United Nations peacekeeping mission, a record unsurpassed by any other nation. This is a history of the men and women who exercised the principles of the United Nations’ Charter every day, be it as an individual observer, a member of a unit or a member of a UN Headquarters. Many have the distinction of having completed more than one peacekeeping tour.
