Welp, that's another drugstore in the bag. The thing about these book series is that you're not in it for any sort of plot, changing characters or growth. it really is just a bunch of series of vignettes about this guy who got isekai'ed living in this fantasy world world being a pharmacist. If that's an idea for a series you liked in the first book, you're probably going to like it in this one. However, i will be the first to admit, it does outstay its welcome in a few parts.

This time around the big events include a barbecue, creating coffee, and, the biggest story of the group, raising a baby griffin. And for that last one, that's a big change in the series. and if you think that them now having a griffin isn't a big deal, then more than likely, this series probably isn't for you.

Some of the stories are better than others as I like the coffee story (as i love coffee myself and am happy he created it for this world as they apparently didn't have coffee yet) and i liked the one where he and Noella actually went off on a little adventure with an adventurer in a cave to find a gem. Then there are some that weren't very good. there was a story where Vivi (the water spirit) became the priestess of a town for a bit against her will and Reiji had to come up with a way to get her out of it. That one was boring and didn't really care for it. The aforementioned griffin one was fine, but, as it was the longest story (About 50 pages) it dragged on a bit too much for me and i think it could have been pulled back a little. we didn't need to know everything about a griffin's eating habits and how they needed a special way to find and collect bugs. that was a bit dull.

All of the characters are still fine, with the exception of one. Mina the ghost girl. As the books progress i am disliking her more and more. She started out as kind of this non-entity (no pun intended as she's a ghost) who was just kind and friendly and wanted to be accepted, but as the series goes on, she's becoming more and more jealous to literally every single girl who shows him attention. And for clarification, they're not a couple, she just likes him. But every time a girl wants to do something nice for him or says something nice, she goes into bitch mode and gets very condescending and possessive. I don't like this route they're taking with this character and honestly, at this point you just need a medium or exorcist to get her out of the house.

Noella is still cute and fine, and Reiji is inoffensive and fine as always. Everyone else is fine. It's 100% just Mina.

All in all, this volume was fine. I read it in less than 2 days in 3 sit downs and once again, it's a very fast read. It's not as good as say volumes 1 or 2, but it's still fine and i am definitely going to read volume 5 and see where this goes.

3.5 out of 5 rounded up to a 4.
