Disillusioned with a dystopian society a young teenager takes the law into his own hands to avenge his soulmate. But at what price? What would you do for love? Or What wouldn't you do? When Nathan loses Anna — his vibrant, bursting-with-life soulmate, the one girl who completes him — to depression and despair following a vicious rape, he vows revenge against the trio of scumbags involved. Rather than waiting for a justice system he doesn’t believe in to act, he becomes Judge, Jury, Executioner. He hunts down the rapist and those who aided and abetted him hoping this will bring the Anna of old back to him. Instead, much to Nathan’s shock and pain, it has the opposite effect, driving her even further towards a dangerous precipice. Will true love be enough to set things right? One thing’s for no matter what happens, true love is forever. Mitchell P. Jones presents the reader with Nathan’s cold, clear-eyed view of the world and all its faults, a place that hardly has room for love. But, in this world, it is love in the end that rises above all else, turning the coal of daily life into a sparkling diamond.
Judge, Jury, Executioner by Mitchell P. Jones is a well-written, gritty novel as the main character Nathan takes the law into his own hands after his girlfriend is brutally attacked. As Nathan takes on this challenge of exacting revenge and justice, he finds that to his dismay, his girlfriend pulls even further away into an abyss. Solid and descriptive writing set the tone for this novel. A great premise and one that pulls you in keeps pace with the tension-packed and emotional scenes. This is much more than a simple story of revenge however, it is a story about love and its endless capacity to change and evolve with time. A great read, and one that is highly recommended.
Gritty and violent, this book is an edge of your seat ride. Nathan is wallowing in his grief for Anna, his one true love. But the only solace and satisfaction he can find now is when he is on the hunt for a rapist and when he finds him, he is brutal and without mercy. Will his revenge be enough to heal Anna? Or will they both succumb to their emotions? Vigilante justice at its finest in a world where the justice system failed. This is so close to our reality that I can easily see this as something happening in the real world. Good book,
