Seven Evils: Innocent Silence
Massive rains fell, and flood waters forced us up to our new mountain home in Sector Seven. What was long ago beautiful Hensley Settlement in the Cumberland Mountains would become a place of harsh cruelness and evil silence.
Amia lives in a community constantly reminded to serve loyally, live silently. She finds herself in a dangerous position when the hated leader takes special interest in her. With seemingly no choice, she seizes the opportunity as a means to find her forbidden voice, but quickly learns she isn't so different from the harsh dictator and fights to both maintain his affection and advocate for the citizens of Sector Seven.
It is a perilous journey when good teams with evil, and Amia learns quickly that it only takes one warrior finding her voice to make a world of difference.

Amia seeks to understand her heart and place in the world, one that could eerily be ours in the future. She journeys thru many new experiences while striving to stay true to what she knows is right.
As I read the pages kept turning quicker and quicker. I've lost track of time and my place in the book to end on an amazing cliffhanger. I'm ready for book 2 please!!!
Gina writes in a way that completely emerces the reader in the world of Sector Seven. And was a pleasure to read.

I love getting stories to read from KickStarter because, for me at least, it is like going in blind when finding out what happens. Sure, I read the synopsis and summary on what this book was about, but since these works are new and practically unheard of, it is special and refreshing diving into a story with no preconceived connotations or bias.
Now, this story seemed different from the other post-apocalyptic YA novels out there, and it was. I loved it because of that. Honestly, the first half was slow going, but the second half was fantastic and made up for it! It actually made me really appreciate the main character and what she went through. The plot overall was simple but very effective and complex. The main character is definitely the star of this story! Overall, I am glad that I backed this story on KickStarter and can't wait for the second book!
