i'm obsessed with this book. it's just a short little book about the tides, written in the late fifties. it's about just what tides are, and what forces cause them (moon, sun, gravity, friction, the morphology of ocean beds). i have to read some pages a few times, but then a lot of pages i just want to read a few times. pretty diagrams. neat words.

Very informative and well written book but it got too technical for me to enjoy for leisure reading.
