Riding Shotgun is the fifth book in Ivy Black’s Steel Knights Motorcycle Club series. It is an Alpha Male MC romance filled with action, suspense, great characters and a fantastic storyline. This story is written in first person from the point of view of both the hero, Colt ”Shotgun” Hardy and the heroine, Erica Peters. This viewpoint allows the reader to develop a strong connection to the characters and a deeper understanding of the storyline.
Colt and Erica have been down this road before but family commitments and expectations tore them apart. Now they have a second chance and the sparks and chemistry between them is as strong and explosive as ever. But with rival MCs making waves in the Steel Knights backyard and a group threatening Erica and her family, will Colt have to choose between the woman he loves and his MC brother? Read it and find out.
This book contains a happily ever after and can be read as a standalone, but reading it in order will give you a better appreciation for the characters and the series itself. This was another great addition to this amazing MC series. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

I can't believe how this series ended. It sucks. It does tell what her next book is but it's a different series and don't see it having anything to do with this one. I could be wrong but none of the reviews I read said anything about this series.
Up until the end it was pretty good but I did feel her Mom and stepfather was putting everything in danger. I would have took the money and got another ranch.
This is Colt, Shotgun to the club and Erica's story. They started off in this book as ex's but when she needs help she goes to him hoping the club that she hates will help. Pres. says no. When a member of the club gets hurt he's all in then. For the club that is after the farm her family bought, they are the real one percenters and they mean business. They want the money, or gold bars that they think is hidden on the property. At the end of the book Colt and Erica find the note that is a map to the treasure or so it seems but we won't know because it ended there...on what I would call a bit of a cliffhanger and this is the end of the series. Too much left unsolved.
Shotgun, Colt, is the younger brother of Dynamite and newly patched member of the Steele Knights. He and Erica had a relationship that she broke off because of his association with the MC. Erica has just returned to town with her mom and her mom's boyfriend and they have purchased a ranch outside of town. They are visited by members of a rival MC and told to leave the ranch, which they refuse to do and things start to go wrong. When the police refuse to help, Erica turns to Shotgun. Things get crazy while they try to figure out what the rival MC is after. There is a ton of action and some steam to keep this next in series book moving.

The Steel Knights series continues with book five, Riding Shotgun. Riding This book has a good storyline and is nicely written. I loved that this book stars Colt, Dynamite’s little brother. Colt is a newly patched member of the Steel Knights. Erica is back from California and she still loves Colt. She still wants him but wants to be number one in his life not come after the MC. When Erica’s family is threatened by outlaw bikers she turns to Colt for help. The twists and turns in this book you don’t see coming. The danger action, steam and rival MC will have you glued to the edge of your seat.

Colt is trying to stay out of trouble but it seems to find him. He also misses his girl that is now back in town and she can't decide what she wants. She wants to be his main priority over everything but can't seem to understand why family is always a priority until she realizes that she needs him.
Ivy Black’s latest release is so freakin dang good! I loved this book, The Characters and The Storyline. You will enjoy this book too. Can’t wait to read her next one
