After hearing everyone say she looked like a zombie, Bonnie was ready for some R&R with her bestie. She'd finally met the elusive Holly at the vet clinic who turned out to be an old friend, and all three took off for a girls' weekend. Bonnie hadn't counted on another murder to disrupt an otherwise relaxing weekend.
While they sleuthed, Katie Lou and Bonnie found out all sorts of things they hadn't known about their old friend, but what of those things got her killed? I couldn't believe I actually figured this one out! Even the reasoning, but I loved watching the girls do their thing and asking around. This was one very cool take down by horseback (not a showdown 'cause they already knew who they were after).
I liked having the mystery out of the girls' usual surroundings and I'm wondering if the next book will be when they go home for harvest. I'll be ready to borrow with KU when it's out!
The is another absorbing read, albeit quite sad because it hits too close to home for Bonnie and her friend. I prefer reading about a stranger' s issue. On the whole, it' s a great and fast read for one on vacation. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
