Orion's Order #3

Deacon's Star

Rate this book
After years of resisting the undeniable pull toward the hunky geek, Starr discovers that fate has decided to take matters into its own hands. History repeats itself and she finds herself face to face with the seriously sexy male that she had been trying to forget.

Will the fiery and independent Starr let Deacon in? Or does her heart have too many scars?

THIRD BOOK IN THE ORION'S ORDER SERIES

Orion's Order returns in another addictive installment about their secret world of magic and mystery. A world where the power of love prevails in the fight against an ancient evil force.

DEACON

Starr. The bane of my heart's existence.

For years, we danced a flirty, banterous duet full of hot tension. Since the second we met, I knew there was something about her. It was like our stories were stars that mingled in the night sky and twinkled brighter in a desperate attempt for someone to read their shining story. Except, when I took the lead of our dance and had her heart spinning and knees weak, she ran in the other direction (or rather, sped off into the night on a motorcycle) with the taste of our kiss still lingering on our lips… and my heart crushed beneath the tires.

Somehow, I ended up in another relationship with a fine female who doesn't twist my heart with wicked games. She is probably better for me. Yet, I can't stop thinking about the female who keeps her distance from me. The female who made it clear she doesn't want me. The female who is determined to put weed killer on anything that buds between us. The female who has my heart in her hands and doesn't even know it.

STARR

If life has taught me anything it's that there's only one thing you can truly count on: yourself. And I have built my life with this in mind. My job? Bounty hunter. I'm my own boss and, yeah, you guessed it—no partner… by design. Family? None. Friends? One. But I sure as hell don't rely on her for anything. Not that she isn't reliable or anything. Again, it's just how I roll. My love life? It's complicated. Hashtag: How in the hell had my love life become a damn Facebook status?

So, yeah, I was doing just fine on my own… until a certain male waltzed into my life. And stole my hunt… for the second damn time.

Devour this addictive series at your own risk...

If you haven't started this series and if you are looking for something long with some incredible world building, amazing characters and steam definitely check this out.

First, I can't wait for Rhyland's book. Those twins are definitely my favorite of this series. I'm not sure anyone can beat Rhyker for me, but Rhyland might just come close.

The fact that M.C. Solaris can keep all these details straight and come up with this incredible world truly does amaze me.

Now, Star is not my favorite character, but I know she will definitely be some of yours. She is strong and fierce, but there is something that stops me from totally falling for her. Deacon is so fucking romantic and sweet while still being on that hot alpha scale, my husband needs to take some lessons from him.

This book definitely takes you on an emotional rollercoaster with this Pack. While this is Deacon and Star's book there is still so much more happening with everyone else. I really am curious to see where she goes with Nico's book. The question is, will Nico or Rhyland be next? We will have to wait and see!

OMG, OMG, OMG…. I wish the next book was already out!!! M.C. Solaris just continues to amaze me with her stories. I did take my time reading this book, because I didn’t want it to end! This is the story of Deacon and Starr. Deacon is a member of the Order who also happens to be a “super geek”. Deacon is also someone who is a romantic at heart and will definitely have you wishing you had a Deacon of your own – flowers, poems, and an understanding like no other male! Starr is a bounty hunter who was an orphan and lived with the Castellan’s. She always felt alone, has trust issues and is a feisty little bada$$! She finally decides to give Deacon a chance, but seems to allow her past to take over her thoughts and she tries to sabotage her own relationship!

While the main story is about Deacon and Starr, we also get to learn more about Blake and Caly; Rhyker and Keena; Aleia and Reid, Rhyland, & Jeid. We learned more about the pack and just how loyal they are. They are all a little off as they are still searching for Nico. Aleia is besides herself and Reid is there to help her find some comfort. I am secretly hoping that there is a little love triangle with Aleia, Nico and Reid! And I would also love to see Rhyland find his mate and I hope it can be Jeid. I think they would make a cute little couple. I don’t want to leave any spoilers, but this is a must read!!! Great storyline, amazing characters and your emotions will be all over the place! I was laughing at the twins, crying for Starr, cheering for Deacon and happy for Caly. MC Solaris had my attention the entire time and had me engaged in the story. Her descriptions make you feel like you are right there in the middle of everything. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars! I received a free copy of this book via ARC’s and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This review is long overdue, between book slumps and my own mental health, I’ve found it harder this year to read as much as I usually do, so despite been given an ARC of this I wasn’t able to read this in time, as I didn’t want to force through it and affect my review, that wouldn’t have been fair to Marina.

Anyway I have to be completely honest as what’s a review without that, I have loved the previous two books so much, especially as Rhyker’s Key was about half of my favourite twins. I admit although I was looking forward to this (because I needed resolution from a certain incident in the previous book!) I was not looking forward to a book based on Deacon completely, he’s probably my least favourite character of the order and friends if I put them in any kind of order, doesn’t mean I don’t like him, I just wasn’t as invested in his character, but then we get to meet Starr !

I mean, I know we’ve met Starr previously, but we got to know the whole incredible woman here and I absolutely love her so much, I mean I love Caly , Aleia and Keena, but man I think she’s my favourite female now (although I reckon Jeid is gonna be badass too when we learn even more about her and I am so hoping she maybe intended for someone in the order but that might be just me) There was action, mystery, drama, tension and lots of romance. I got my resolution I needed so badly (want to know what it is you’re going to have to read Calypso’s Heart and Rhyker’s Key then come back here, cos you know you need to)

Deacon is still at the end of my list of favourites in this series, but that’s just personal taste, how we all have favourite characters or book boyfriends, it’s not personal or anything with the beautiful writing or character development, I did like him more by the end of the book, but for me Starr definitely outshined him and stole my heart too.

If you have read the first two books you’ll really want to read this and regret it if you don’t, trust me. If you haven’t read the previous books, you love PNR, strong women, sexy men who support strong women and whole lot of plot and action, drama and intrigue (and of course romance) then you need to read this series.

So thank you to the author MC Solaris who gifted me with a copy of this, for the book and for your patience, all opinions here are my own and freely given.

Stargazing surprise

I loved it very much. It surpassed my expectations.
The love of Starr and Deacon evolved to life mates as Deacon knowing it since they met but with Starr's insecurities and lack of trust made their journey bumpy, but at the end they made it with flying colors. I loved the the the Orion Order other members stories and ordeals, with high drama levels and surprises coming along.
I loved as their pet Akira is so much more.
At the end it was the icy vampire coming home to safety.
I loved the interaction among all members of the Order and the happy welcome to the new yongglins in the near future to the Fortress.
It was an amazing read and awaiting anxiously for the next book.
I was given this arc in exchange for a honest review.
I thank Ms Solaris for the opportunity to read this masterpiece and hoping to read more of these shifters, wolf and vampires plus the elementa, Is such a wonderful world.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

I absolutely loved Deacon’s Star, and I can hardly wait for the next book. I could hardly put the book down once I started. While reading the Deacon and Star’s love story I cried, laughed, cheered, and yelled. The poems throughout the story from Deacon were adorable..as well as his rapper name(I am not going to spoil it). I continue to love Rhyland and his playful nature, and I can’t wait to get to spend more time with Jeid, I absolutely loved her in this story (I secretly hope she and Rhyland find each other *fingers crossed*). I also enjoyed spending more time with Aleia and Reid (I can’t wait to get to know more about them, and I secretly hope they form a mated trio with Nico *fingers crossed*). I give Deacon’s Star ‘5 stars’ because the story left me wanting more and not just the Deacon and Star. I can’t wait to spend more time with the whole pack inside the castle. I did everything I could not to leave spoilers because I don’t want to take away from all the surprises and delights that I had reading the story.

Another great book, I love all the characters but I really want Rhyland’s story. I really like the fact that all the characters that have been the main focus of the past books are not just ignored or left as very minor characters in the new books as this often happens and you feel like you have half a story.
Can’t wait to find out what happens next especially as Nico came back so close to the end.

It’s finally here.
It’s been a year since the last book, and the waiting is finally over….

Deacon is a steorrian (a reader of stars, future past and present are all laid bare for him to read and decipher.)
His job in the order is technical and he loves it, information is at the end of his keyboard and he’s a master at ferreting it out. He usually stays at the control Center and helps with the mission (directing and helping)
And his gadgets are just brilliant (it’s helping the order immensely)
I loved how he interacted with his parents and older brother. And I adored how romantic and loving he is (Starr snap him up will you!!! 🤦🏻‍♀️)

Starr Barringer is your typical loner.
Bounty Hunter and general bada$$ chick.
But scratch the surface and you find a female that has been hurt so many times it’s safer to be in your own….
Orphaned, and unwanted until a family took her in, but she never really gave them a chance, she couldn’t return the love they showed her!
Boyfriend and boyfriend did the dirty, so get in, scratch that itch and get out.
But the feelings she has for her “geek” is hard to ignore, and that scares the hell out of her.
And as a fire elemental that’s dangerous, it also explains her temper that is quick to fire up.

Deacon and Starr have known each other for ages, the attraction is there, but Starr won’t take it any further!
They flirt online, they tease each other with possibilities and they torment themselves with thoughts of how they could be together.
In fact in a previous book a kiss was shared! And then she ran away…..
And that started the ball rolling, but not in the direction you think it would!!

You could happily read it on its own, but there is so much going in this book.
I would recommend reading books one and two first as there is a backstory that runs through the books, and history that will explain a few things.

We catch up with characters from the previous books, as I said it’s a standalone read, but best read in order as there are ongoing plots.
We also have a new story with a twisty plot that I loved. Double agents and spies in the ranks!! 😱
You’ll laugh at the antics the order play on one another, you’ll cry as things don’t look good for certain members of the order. And you’ll definitely cheer in certain parts of the book (see, I said no spoilers 😉)
And we get more info on a possible new order member (and dare I say mate for a naughty panther shifter 🙏)
No one is left out, you catch up with everyone at some point.

I love these books, all emotions are laid out for the reader to experience.
Nothing is left out, is there too much information? (this book is well over 700 pages long!) I don’t think so, if it flows well and there isn’t any filler then I could read books that like all day (I’ve read war and peace, and that’s HUGE!!)
I like how everyone is allowed their say and their moment, too often characters have felt stilted or you needed more information.
And I loved the dance between Starr and her feelings for Deacon, he knows what he wants, she on the other hand is super cautious, (too cautious as you’ll find out in the book)
I don’t want to give anything away, but one thing I will share, and that’s the notes and poems he wrote for Starr, they were just so cute. 💜
This book is also about healing the heart and mind, loving yourself and taking care of those parts.
There are mind and body healers in this series, there is fitness and fun (the author is big on those topics but it’s never forced down your throat, rather information is given in story form)

So yes, another looooooong story.
But buckle up and enjoy the adventure that is Deacon’s Star.
You really won’t regret it.
And when you’ve read and fallen in love with all the characters go back and read Calypso’s Heart (my favourite) and Rhyker’s Key.

Oh….. And welcome to ORION’s ORDER 😊

My review is written voluntarily after listening to the audio version of this wonderful story.

Having loved the first two books in this series I couldn't wait for this third book to be available in audio, fans of this series will know that these are not quick reads, this book is in fact 20 hours of enjoyable listening as the story builds and buiIds.

This is primarily Deacon and Star's story but we still get lots of interactions with the other members of Orion's Order. Decon's role within the order is that of “super geek” but he's so much more than that he's romantic and a poet, he's fearless and brave and prepared to do anything for those he loves, especially his Star. I loved the way he courted Star sending her Star lilies and poems, he certainly understands her but will it be enough? Well you'll have to read or listen to the book to find out.

Starr's an orphan, brought up by Castellans, but even though she was grateful to them she never allowed herself to feel any love for them, she always felt alone, and she certainly has trust issues! Maybe that's why she always works alone in her role as a feisty bada$$ Bounty Hunter? Even when she finally decides to take a chance on Deacon she allows her past to sabotage their relationship!

The main story is about Deacon and Starr, but don't despair we also learn more about Blake and Caly, Rhyker and Keena and Aleia and Reid. Their loyalty to their pack is everything, because of this they are searching for Nico whenever they can. Fortunately Reid is there to help Aleia and they become close again, but I for one am hoping that when Nico returns he Aleia and Reid will become a triad!

I don’t want to give any spoilers, what I will say is that my emotions were all over the place, the twins are so good at making me laugh, Star's story had my in tears and when it came to Deacon well you'll just have to listen for yourself!

MC Solaris has produced yet another in-depth, well written story that had no difficulty holding my attention and kept me engaged from beginning to end.

The narration of this book by Jarman Day is excellent, by now these characters seem like old friends and he performs them beautifully.

I absolutely loved Deacon’s Star, and I can't wait for the next book just like last time and the time before that!!! I'm obsessed I just love this world!!! I am hating I am having to wait yearly for each book but always sooo worth the wait!!! I was getting frustrated at the start of the book because Star just really annoys me she is stubborn and independent and really gets under my skin (signs of a good character) then I realized we are quite similar in same ways 😅 I could hardly put the book down once I got started and got over my stubbornness of not letting her get under my skin. Im a deep down hopeless romance and Deacon is everything you wish for in a man so patient, kind and caring and has a saucy side I think I'm in love 🤣🤣 reading starcon (my nickname for them) I had soooo many emotions I cried and then laughed then cheered, and was in complete shock and lost it just so much going on. The poems throughout the story from Deacon were adorable and straightfrom the heart and truly melted my heart. I also still love the fact M.C. has a little to do with other characters and their stories slowly start to build. I am 100% sure there is going to be a love triangle between Nico, Aleia and Reid ( I'm all for this by the way M.C. you can do this they don't have to be just a couple 😏) I still think Jeid and Riordan should be together although maybe Jeid and Ryland might end up together but I think he needs someone on his own playing field and we haven't come across her yet! I still love his playful nature and I still love him but I'm 100% still team Rhyker through and through (move over Keena 😘) I've tried not to leave any spoilers as I hate them!! I have pre-ordered a hard copy that's how much I loved it, I am now going back to read calypso's heart because I miss caly and Blake a little 🥰

Thanks so much M.C. your mind still astounds me and I have loved being on this journey with you since the start and will continue to do so (as long as you don't take away my saucy scenes 😉 do that and I'm out 🤣)

These books are gigantic and addictive, so prepare yourself before diving in! As these build on a larger storyline, I'd also recommend starting from book 1 and working your way to here.

This story gives us the HEA we have been chasing for Deacon and Starr. They both have a lot of baggage, but Deacon is willing to do whatever it takes to end up with his Starr, while Starr is convinced that it's not worth trying. Throw these two together in a fight, but have them try to get serious about their relationship and it's the wrong kind of fireworks. So - weren't we done with these two in the last book? Well, a chance encounter catching a bad guy is really all it takes to restart the drama.

In the "background" (this book us huge, so the background stories could each be individual books!) we also get more from all our favorites - the girls being the focus. Aleia has been still struggling with a lot of issues that came from losing Nico and finding her somewhat lost love again. All of these non-romance related stories end up tying back to our larger big bad - the Mastermind. While we don't get full payoff there yet, we do get a nice step in the right direction for Nico's horrible capture in this book. Oh, and couple happiness (always).

So, back to Deacon and Starr - they have a real steep hill to climb in order to establish a solid relationship. There are a lot of bumps in the road, mostly bloody and involving a healer, but there's also the trust building that takes a long time for both of them. OK, maybe Starr takes the longest, but that's to be expected. I especially enjoyed spending time between Starr and the infamous "Whisper." I can't wait to see when she ends up with a mate! This book was long and took me in all sorts of places, but by the end I was ready for even more from this wonderfully build world!

This is not a stand alone series. I devoured books 1 & 2 and was so thankful to receive an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

Orion's Order is feeling the loss of their Vamp Nico, it always seems to be the elephant in the room, everyone misses him, some more than others. However, they still have a job to do while they continue their search for Nico.

While on a hunt they encounter Starr, the lone Bounty hunter that makes their resident tech steorian's heart pump harder and his mind fail to focus on anything but the sexy fire elemental. As the attack ends Deacon takes Starr into the woods, pours his heart out and gets her to try and work on their relationship.

Starr is an orphan, who has had a string of bad relationships that have left her with severe abandonment and trust issues when it comes to the opposite sex. With the help of her best friend and Seer she attempts to do this relationship thing with Deacon and hopes that she doesn't lose herself in the process.

Deacon knows he's in love with Starr, has known it since he first laid eyes on her but breaking down her walls is going to take all his patience and love. He also knows that she is fiercely independent and loves her job as a hunter so he has to figure out how to quell his burning need to protect her with her need to hunt.

This is a great series. Much more than just a paranormal romance, there is an actual story here with characters you learn to love, characters you hate and a bond that shows that family isn't always blood related. So many layers to these books that it brings out all the feels. Can't wait to read the next one.

This was so good! M. C. Solaris sucks me into her book again.

This book picks up right after Rhyker's Key and we have Starr and Deacon finally, finally getting together with a hot kiss and handholding. But while Starr wants Deacon, she is emotionally scarred and has a hard time allowing herself to let people close to her, and the way Deacon gets under her skin is just plain cute. While this book is about Starr and Daec, all the other characters have povs and their stories are continue here and its lovely to see them again full time and not just in a few scenes.

I loved Starr and how strong she was and how he took care of the people she loves. She comes across as a badass female and she is, and she also has a sweet side.
Deacon is the definition of a romantic man. He is probably in the dictionary under romance. He is always giving her gifs and making sure to tell Starr that he will always be there for her.
The romance began very quickly but then slow down, and we got to see the transition from lust to love in a nice way. Also, the friendships in this book are phenomenal. Jeid, I love you.

The only thing I didn't like all that much was the focus on Aleia, I just wanted more and more of Starr and Deac. But I do understand why it was necessary and how it complemented the story and now I NEED the next book. I need to know if my theories are right. I need more Nico, Aleia, and Reid.

* This review is based on an kindle arc copy received in exchange for honest feedback.

*This book is part of a series but can be read on its own

What I loved

1. Our male main lead writes poetry and I am a sucker for that.

2. Friendships and family style relationships beyond the romantic relationship really feel like they have some life breathed into them that I’ve been missing from similar books in the same genre.

3. The main female lead is very rough around the edges and ready to kick butt from the get go.

What I would have done differently

Honestly I don’t have much for this section this go around. The cover for the ebook version isn’t quite my cup of tea but I darted on over to Amazon and I love what’s shown for the physical copy cover so *shrugs*.

Who would I recommend this book for ?

Did you already love other books in the Orion’s order series ? Have you not read the other books yet but feel yourself drawn to the idea of a fiery main lady and hurt by past rejection main dude working their feelings out and making it work? If either you answer yes to either of these go ahead and check it out. :)

Headstrong and sweet love

I have read all 3 Orion's order novels now and Deacon's Star is my favourite. You can tell that M.C. Solaris as a self-published author has developed her story telling and writing over the 3 books and this one was just so well written. I loved the other books too. The two main Characters in this story are Deacon who is a sweet male storrian who where's his heart on his sleeve. He is so open and headover heels for Starr. Starr however is a headstrong hunter and fire element. She has some issues which need to be worked through before she can give her heart over completely.

These two characters take us through a roller coaster of emotions with some twists and turns involving the other orion order characters (pack family).
You definitely need to read the other books in order before reading this book as all the characters get a feature chapter or two and the continuation of the evil mastermind runs throughout the series.

I cannot wait to read book 4 shame have to wait till 2022 but I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

I received a free copy of the book but I am leaving a review voluntarily.

OMG, M.C. Solaris has done it again with Deacon's Star. I can not believe how involved I got even with this being the 3rd book in the series and I was definitely not disappointed. This book continued with all of the emotions in the storyline as the previous 2 from arguments, love, steamy, and then from me there was a lot of crying, yelling, edge of you seat page-turners and it was so worth getting this one to add to the collection.

Starr was not my favorite character out of the 3 books, which surprised me, however as the book continues you can feel that her walls are coming down and that Deacon and her are really made for each other. I love how Deacon is the "quiet, super-geeky dude" and Starr is this bad-ass woman who can hold her own. I love how each of the books is not solely just about a certain couple but other members of the "Order" are also included within the storyline. I have added this one to my Kindle collection and hope to add more to it with other books from other members of the Order.

While this book is about Deacon and Stars, there is so much more happening to everyone else. It's really an emotional rollercoaster for the whole group. The Order returns in another addictive tale of their secret world of magic and mystery, where they battle an ancient evil force and yet love always reigns supreme.
If you haven't started this series yet, you really should. Calypso's Heart ( 1 ) and Rhycker's Key ( 2 ) and just like this one, they have an incredible worldbuilding, great characters, steam and lots of humor and fun that will often have you laughing out loud. Especially when they are engaged in their challenge games, those who are attracted to each other have to play against each other and then face each other, being distracted. 😂  I won't say more, otherwise the fun will be gone. Make sure you set some time aside when you want to read this book. Once you open it, you won't want to put it down.

I really enjoyed reading this book, eventually. I was so looking forward to it and it didn’t disappoint. I have one gripe, I totally understand that Starr has had a bad previous history with people/guys letting her down but it felt like the first 60% of the book was a constant review of her feelings. I loved Deacon for standing by her and not giving up, but there were times that I nearly did. I’m so glad I didn’t and I persevered because the book definitely picked up and boy did the last 40% make up for it. I found it interesting, exciting and just brilliant. I absolutely loved Deacons poetry. All in all this is a good book, don’t give up as its definitely worth the read. I’m also looking forward to reading the next instalment. I received this book from the Author. I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Deacon's Star Orion's Order Book Three by M.C. Solaris was a deep, soul wrenching, psychological look into the depths of the affects of grief, anger, unforgiveness, forgiveness, love, and restoration.

Various points of the story felt like a grief heavy read, because of Nico's disappearance, but the HEA was worth every minute!

My favorite characters were Starr Barringer, The h, and Deacon, The H, because they were the quintessential epitome of the life giving power of love.

My favorite scene was between Starr and Deacon, and the poem with the words, "Did you know...", because it melted my heart.

I liked that there were stories embedded, within the story, which produced additional clarity.

In my opinion, there are no other books that compare with this book!

Well Done!

Where to start on this wonderful creation!!!! At the beginning I struggled to understand what Deacon saw in Starr as she was my least favorite character, but I feel Mac redeemed her with strong character building and story weaving. The depth of detail is amazing and I honestly felt completely lost in the world of the Orions Order, as with the past two books. I love the length of the book, as it gives a good amount of storyline whilst also building on past characters stories as well as Starr and Deacons love story ❤ as someone who is a sucker for steamy scenes as well as heartfelt tenderness, Solaris touches on all bases and I look forward to reading the next story in the series! It's not often you come across an author with the magic of hypnotic storytelling but MC ticks all boxes for paranormal romance with lots of steam and emotional information

I’ve read all three books now and I was not disappointed at all with Deacon’s and Starr’s story!

I am amazed that M.C. Solaris can keep up with all the details she started to put into the story from Book No. 1 till now. Again a big book (700+ pages) Every book has a different main couple but the background story continues. Also should be read in order to understand everything and to not spoiler yourself ☺️

I loved Deacon’s romantic lovable side (the poems 😍) combined with the alpha attributes, he is so perfect for Starr who has a lot of issues that need someone like him. And the spice was great again! 🌶

So excited to know who’s story is going to be next 🤔 Really hope it’s going to be Rhyland’s! But I also want to know more about Nico! 🙈

Thank you M.C. Solaris for this ARC in exchange for a honest review.

What I love about this series is that no matter how long ago you read the previous books, it all comes back to you. Plus I have to admit that M.C. Solaris is a great writer. She transitions from telling the story from one character's point of view to another effortlessly in every chapter. She just is an amazing writer. She assures that all of her characters stay true to character. It's like she carefully strategizes what they will say, how they will say it etc.
So why four stars? This one was not my favorite. It felt like 13 hours of Starr doubting herself and 13 hours felt too long for me that I started to get over it after a while. She did grow and develop but it felt too long. Deacon is a dream, the perfect book boyfriend.
I received a free copy of this book and I voluntarily reviewed it.

I have received an advanced copy and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This is the third book of the Orion’s Order series, and I was not disappointed. These books just get better and better with each one.

I had to clear everything I needed to do in advance because once I start, I know I will not be able to put the book down and that was absolutely the case with this one.

The characters are becoming increasingly more developed, the world building is imaginative, and the storyline is fast paced and interesting.

I love the way the characters are included in all the stories so that they still feel part of the ongoing tale.

The books are standalone stories, but I would recommend starting from the beginning to get the full feel of the series. I am looking forward to the next one.

Deacon and Starr, et al

Continuing the series is the story of Deacon and Starr - he of the unusual steorrian gift, she of the near-terminal trust issues. There's a picture of Deacon in the dictionary under Knightly love - he's the essence of patience, gentle wooing, and firm commitment to his lady. Starr is the poster child for commitment phobia verging on cowardice. Badass bounty hunting can't cover this up. I loved Deacon; Starr made me itch with irritation. As to the other wonderful people in the pack, this novel had all those fantastic little aside/updates that move the whole series right along. I gotta say it's a good read, despite Starr, and in all fairness, it's great to see her get her HEA with Deacon. Ima keep reading! This is a voluntary ARC review.

How is it possible that I'm more addicted to this series as each book comes along?
Orion's Order is my book family, for sure!
Each book may have a particular couple destined for their HEA, but the good about these books is that this isn't just about the couple, it's about all of them.
In every book you get a peek into all their heads and you can see things from each point of view, because life doesn't stop for the couples just because their HEA is there.
I really LOVE this about this series.
I can't wait for the next and the next and the next and how many other nexts M.C.Solaris is willing to give us...
I received a free ARC copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.
Also, just wanted to say "Nicoooo"! :D

This is part of a series, but can be read alone.
Deacon is a techno geek who works with Orion's order. Rhyker is the alpha of the pack. Nico, the second was abducted in the previous book. There is sadness in the pack over the missing member. Starr is a bounty hunter who has come across the pack in the past. Actually, Deacon and Starr have played flirty for many years.
This is Deacon and Starr's story. This is a story of like, lust, love, forgiveness, trust, and friendship. I highly recommend this story and all in the series. I love the interaction of all pack members and their mates. I can’t wait for follow up stories.

I received this as a free book on the 14th August 21 but I needed to read the two previous books again first. What can I say but I love these books, yes they are a long read and my only criticism is having to wait until next year for the next one. Love the characters especially Nico and Rhyland, each story is expertly woven and even though there are main characters in each book all the others play an important part. I would recommend them to anyone who is interested in a good paranormal read but best reading them in order to really enjoy them, strong females with supportive males and others. Basically a brilliant read. Hope you enjoy.

Wow! Once again I got so wrapped up in the story that I was actually sad when it ended, although that is not to say this story didn't have a lot of things happening on it's own. Deacon and Star's story was romantic and awesome. I really wish my man was like him. This book was so adventurous and exciting, just like the other stories. I love how this series has longer books so I can immerse myself in the characters world as long as possible. Can't wait until the next story. I would definitely recommend this book and this whole series! I received a review copy of this story from the author and am leb=aving a voluntary honest review.

I couldn´t wait to get my hands on this book- the other books of this series“Orions Order“ are soo good. And wow! M.C. Solaris´weiting gets better with every book, even the poetry is brilliant! In „Deacon´s Star“ a few of the loose threads are tied, but a few more appear (I just say „Rat shifter!) What I like most about the author´s books is, that even the spotlight is on the main characters of the book, still all of the Orders family are not just appearing as marginal figures but they evolve as well. My book of the year!! I received an ARC and voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This is the third book in the Orion's Order series and follows Deacon and Starr. While it might follow them it doesn't mean that we don't get to 'see' other characters from the series that we all know and love. This being said I do recommend reading this series in order. This continues to build an incredible world, develop amazing and lovable characters and an exciting plot. The story provides a heck of a emotional rollercoaster along with heated steam. Starr might not be my favorite character from Orion's Order but I still enjoyed her story.

Loved loved loved this book...WANT more in the series. Deacon is a geek, sexy too, and a romantic. And Deacon's a poet too, how great is that!! Star is a bounty hunter with a few trust issues. These are great characters that play off each other beautifully. A fabulous storyline and world too. I want to live with them all, such a wonderful world created by the author. Once I started this one I couldn't put it down. Great read!!
