"You can call on me, when the road seems too long,
My love will hold, I'll help you carry on,
I'll always be yours, unconditional love,
Is what you'll find when you come home."
Not Always There, but Always Your Dad chronicles the heart of a father going through divorce and the separation from his children. After having positioned his life as a father first and moving through the better part of a decade with an eye towards having his children build their floor upon his ceiling, dealing with a new reality of reduced access and custody proved to be heart-wrenching. This book was born out of that pain but written with an eye and focus towards love. With a core message of a father's unconditional love for his children permeating each chapter, this book affirms that no matter the circumstances, time or distance that may separate children from their father following divorce, love is still able to hold and anchor each impacted life through it all.
Thank You GoodReads Giveaways and Tellwell Talent for a kindle copy of Jeremiah Collins' Not Always There, but Always Your Dad.
I give this book 4 stars and don't understand why there are not more ratings or reviews. This book was released on January 4, 2021.
First of all I don't feel the description of this book is accurate. The description made me think this was a short novella about a father going through divorce and how it affected him and the kids. Well it starts out that way and then goes into letters written to his four children in the chapters and then each chapter either starts or ends with Bible verses. That's all well and fine, enjoyable. I agree the core message of a father's unconditional love for his children was in each chapter. This book should be read by every parent because the Author gives good advice in these letters to his children either building them up but reminding them about failing too. Well this book is barely 102 pages I think to stop now and let you enjoy it for yourself. After reading this You will agree with my review.
A Story about a divorced Fathers love & devotion to his four children. The divorced father no longer lives under the same roof as his children and he is adapting to life living alone. In this story he addresses each of his four children with love giving them advise on life in general and let’s them know that his love will always be unconditional. He makes it known that even though they don’t share the same household as each other anymore he will always be there for them when they need him.
I found this book to be such a strong testament of love from a father to his children. So honest, endearing and enlightening.
I won a Kindle copy of this book from a ‘Goodreads Giveaway’.
