Sexy wolves and heart-stopping action await in Claimed by the Moon, the highly-anticipated continuation of the Royal Shifters series by New York Times and USA Today best-selling author L.P. Dover!
In his 200 years of life, Zayne Lyall has made his share of enemies. The most ruthless of all being Knox Channon, who seeks vengeance for a pack war that took place over a hundred years ago.
To gain information he can use to bring Zayne down, Knox reconnects with Amelie Graye, a past love who joined the Royal pack Zayne belongs to. Unfortunately, Amelie doesn't know much about the royal arctic... despite a longing within her to be near him.
Amelie and Knox have a tumultuous past that ended after she and her family went rogue following an attack by the Sierra pack. While she has no details to offer about Zayne, Knox sniffing around her leaves his inner wolf snarling.
More than anything Zayne wants to charge in and protect the woman his heart aches for. But he has a secret... and it could cost him everything. Amelie is his fated mate. If Knox were to discover this, he would know hurting her would be the key to destroying Zayne. Torn between his desire to claim Amelie as his own and his ferocious passion to protect her, can Zayne find a way to bring down his malicious enemy? Or will an age old vendetta rob him of a blissful future with his bonded mate?
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author L. P. Dover is a southern belle living in North Carolina with her husband and two beautiful girls. Before she began her literary journey she worked in periodontics, enjoying the wonderment of dental surgeries.
She loves to write, but she also loves to play golf, go on mountain hikes and white-water rafting, and has a passion for singing. Her two youngest fans expect a concert each and every night before bedtime, usually Christmas carols.
Dover has written countless novels in several different genres, but her favorite to write is romantic suspense. However, she has found a new passion in romantic comedy, especially involving sexy golfers. Who knew the sport could be so dirty and fun to write about.
I have to say that I am seriously impressed by this story. I started reading this book as soon as it hit my kindle and I could not put it down until I was finished. It was beautifully written, the plot was interesting, and the characters were engaging. As this was the sixth book in the Royal Shifters series, the book includes characters from previous novels. However, you don’t need to have read the previous novels to enjoy this one.
This book focuses on Amelie and Zayne, who could not be more opposite. Amelie was friendly and engaging, while Zayne was stoic and restrained. Both have complicated histories that hold them back, however, I think that is what adds flavor to this story. I could completely relate to both characters and loved how they connected despite everything that was holding them back.
This book would be good for anyone who loves a good shifter romance who doesn’t mind a little heat with their story. Amalie and Zayne have amazing chemistry and it jumps off the pages. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and immediately went back to buy the first book in the series.
I love shifter stories and the Royal Shifters series has been great. I missed a few books in the middle, but I picked right back up with Amelie and Zayne's story!
First, I think I love shifter stories because they typically have the fated mates trope and I am trash for that. Seriously, it might be my favorite trope. That doesn't always mean it is smooth sailing, and Amelie and Zayne have some baggage. They really are a bit of a sunshine/grumpy pairing as well.
Knox throws a bit a wrench into their plans and creates lots of tension and drama. Zayne has to decide if admitting his love to Amelie will be worth the possible danger that could come from Knox. What I have enjoyed about the series is that there is typically a lot going on. You have the intense attraction between the main characters, the danger posed by some outside threat, and some seriously sexy times! Claimed by the Moon will appeal to paranormal romance fans who love a good story with a happy ending!

Claimed by the Moon
From Claimed by the Moon by LP Dover:
The door to the cabin opens, and Amelie steps out with her caramel-colored hair in a ponytail and dressed in a tank top and yoga pants. It’s fifteen degrees outside, but the cold doesn’t bother us. The smell of snow approaches, and I can tell it’s going to come down hard within the hour. Looking up at the sky, it’s dark, and the clouds are thick.
Amelie plugs in the Christmas lights on her porch and looks up at them when she gets into the yard. I’ve never seen someone so fascinated with the holidays. But she’d be appalled if she could see my house at Christmas time. I’ve never cared about decorating or celebrating, at least not in the last thirty years after losing Alina. Something tells me I might have to change that. If this is going to work between us, I’ll have no choice but to see things differently. The only problem is that I have no idea how to do that.
Amelie runs through the woods in human form, and I follow behind her, making sure to keep my presence hidden. I’m not ready for her to know I’m there yet. The lake is a few miles into the woods, and her movements are smooth and concise as she swerves in and out of the trees. The only other people I’ve seen move like that are my brothers. She had to have learned it from Micah. I’ve envied him for being so close to her. It’s even made me a little jealous, but I know he’s never tried anything with her. When he comes back to town, things might be a little different. I’m hoping Amelie will let me train her instead of him.
The lake comes into view, and I slow my pace. Amelie stops by the water and blows out a breath, watching the steam billow into the wind. She raises her arms in the air and stretches, exposing her bare stomach as her shirt lifts up. The need in me rises, and I close my eyes. All I can think about is taking her in my arms and making her mine.
“Fuck,” I hiss under my breath. My cock hardens at the thought of her naked and spread out beneath me. Stepping behind the tree, I lean against it to regain my composure. I’m always in control, but around Amelie, I’ve lost all sense of it. Taking a deep breath, I let it out slow until everything goes back to normal. When it does, I unleash my power so Amelie can sense me.

I’ve loved all the other books in this series, so I always look forward to a new book releasing! I received an ARC of this book, so I put my current read to the side and made this book my next read! After reading, I can say that I loved everything about this book! The plot only took me a few sittings to read and I enjoyed the direction the plot went in and what happened in it! There was also plenty of romance in the plot and I loved the way the romance developed and that it allowed for a few seriously hot scenes! I really liked that the characters didn't rush into a relationship and they got to know each other first! There was some action and suspense in the plot as well, which added to the plot and made me enjoy it more! The characters were also amazing and made this book even better! Amelie was the main female character, and I loved her in this book! She had a very respectable job that she enjoyed and was good at! I also loved the way Amelie was with her love interest! She knew he was gruff and kept himself to himself, but she was persistent, but she also gave him time! This made me respect her a lot! Zayne was the main male character and love interest of Amelie! Zayne was a very interesting character in the other books, so I couldn’t wait to get inside his head in this book! I felt for Zayne because he had experienced a huge loss that made him hesitant to get into a new relationship! He was also quite a gruff character, but he did open up more as the plot progressed! He was also very protective of Amelie and it was easy to see how he felt about her! I loved that this book was written from both Amelie and Zayne’s point of views! I was sort of expecting it to be because the other books have all been written this way and the synopsis gives the impression that it’s going to be! It helped me connect more with both characters and see their feelings for each other develop! It allowed for more things to happen in the plot as well, which helped as Amelie and Zayne did spend some time apart! The ending of this book was also left at the perfect place for the characters! I now can’t wait to read the next book in this series! I know that it’s going to focus on secondary characters from this series, but this has me even more excited to read it! I'm not sure who its going to focus on as there wasn't anything at the end of this book to tell me and I can't find any information on it! I still can't wait to read it when it releases! The cover for this book is also seriously hot and I love how well it suits the other covers in the series! It would draw me to the book if I didn't already know the author's name and the cover model is also the perfect Zayne! Big thank you to L.P. Dover for an ARC of Claimed by the Moon!
5 AMAZING STARS!! Wow, I can't stop thinking about this book. I am really starting to love this genre....it is so entertaining and I can't get enough. I need more.
Claimed by the Moon is the latest book in the the Royal Shifters Novels and one that I really loved reading.
This is the story of Zayne and Amelie.
Zayne was a born protector and has already loved and lost. He’s aware that his true mate is in his pack but he’s so hesitant to try love again. He doesn’t want to go through that hurt again but he knows he can’t reject his true mate.
Amelie is a school teacher and loves what she does. However, she knows that eventually she’ll have to move on to another town. Until then, she’s loving what she does with her second graders and is waiting for her true mate to claim her.
She knows that her true mate is out there because her friend has dreamed it but she wants it to happen naturally.
Zayne is trying to be patient with Amelie but when a couple of blasts from his past make an appearance he knows time is of the essence.
I loved how much Zayne’s character grew throughout this book. He goes from being a very solitary man to one that enjoys the company of others, especially Amelie. Amelie’s natural bright and friendly nature brings out the best in Zayne.
I’ve loved reading this series and can definitely recommend this book!
A Royal Shifters Novel Series has been a really enjoyable series. I have been known to read and reread each of the books. Claimed by the Moon takes the series to a whole new level. It was fantastic!!!! It was addictive!!
Claimed by the Moon exceeded my expectations. Claimed by the Moon was worth the wait. Claimed by the Moon is the sprinkles and candles on the Royal Shifters cake. Can I add sparklers as well? Claimed by the Moon is worth all the hype the readers have put on this book. It was worth every whine and moan I expressed while waiting for Zayne's story. Zayne's story is everything.
Zayne has been the one that no one could really get close to within the pack. He is standoffish. His walls have to be three feet thick. No one was penetrating his walls. Then he discovered he had a true mate. The walls started crumbling. Like it or not those walls were going to come down.
Like all the other Royal Shifter books there is drama. Lots and lots of drama. Zayne's challenges with his mate are going to seem minor compared to what is coming his way. Good deeds come back to haunt. History is repeating itself. Elitism corrupts. Zayne will have to conquer evil without destroying his chances at gaining a mate.
If I could give stars or any other type of rating for the ending in a book; Claimed by the Moon would receive all the accolades. Brilliant doesn't begin to describe this story and its ending. I can't wait to see what the writer comes up with to top this story.
Second-grade teacher, Amelie Graye, has not had an easy life. But she is finally settled, living a quiet life in her pack waiting for her destined mate. She finds out Royal wolf Zayne Lyall is her mate, and while he already feels the thrall and she doesn’t, Amelie is still drawn to him.
Their relationship is threatened when Amelie is caught between Zayne and her first love, Knox, and a two-hundred-year-old grudge. She tries to negotiate peace between the two, but it soon becomes apparent the Royal wolves will meet in battle.
Though they both suffered extreme loss in their lives, Zayne and Amelie were polar opposites. He was closed off, distant, and held his emotions inside, while Amelie was open, friendly, and quite talkative. I enjoyed watching his character evolve as he did everything he could to keep his mate safe, including sleeping outside her home every night. They make a great couple and I loved how when they finally let their guards down, they talked to each other, holding nothing back.
Amelia was a strong, independent character. Even though her cousin and friends all were mated, she didn’t sulk and whine, but was a strong, positive force loved and included in everything by her friends.
She let me down a bit when Knox showed up though. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt but felt she allowed him to get too close. The Royal Pack was her family and Zayne was her mate, and she should have trusted their warnings one-hundred-percent from the beginning. However, she found her efforts to broker peace were futile and no match for the hatred and anger between Zayne and Knox.
Supporting characters all have great personalities and I enjoyed their banter. I even enjoyed villains Knox and his sister, Zara. As they tried to appear friendly and accommodating, I could feel their contempt for the Lyalls and Storms rumbling just beneath the surface.
Excellent writing and well-developed characters not only make this a great read but make me want to read more of the Royal series!
I am picky when it comes to paranormal romance and Leslie writes shifters amazingly. I crave this series when I’m not reading it. I just finished this book and I am impatient for the next one already it’s that good.
We finally get Zayne and Amelia’s story and what an amazing story it is. This book exceeded any of my expectations. Leslie weaved a beautiful love story filled with lots of sexiness and love your heart will be overflowing. I loved Zayne’s protective alpha side. He’s seen so much and lost so much so he is instinctively a protector and now that includes Amelia. But Amelia has lost a lot too and is scared of opening her heart. When the signs show all bets are off and these too are combustible.
I loved the smooth slow burn, the connection, chemistry and romance. There’s a little angst and suspense but overflowing with family, love and romance. And that HEA was perfection.
I look forward to more and crossing my fingers Micah is next. He too deserves a happily ever after.
Ahhhh! Zayne! I am so happy for him. He has been in the fringes of all the books and his heart was so broken. I am thrilled that he gets his HEA. Not that I don't like Amelie too. But Zayne is so deserving of her love.
This book is part of a series and you could read it as a stand alone but there is history that continues to brew in the background of each book, so it would be best if you read them in order. I loved how Zayne's family caught on pretty quick about him and his mate. The tough loved him and supported him enough for him to go out on a limb and ask Amelie out. He was so out of his comfort zone but the end result was perfect.
There is a bit of danger in this one from past relationships. The pack all came together once again to make sure everyone was safe. I love the visions that the newly mated couple get. Such a neat way to peer into the future without jumping ahead in the timeline. Great writing style and world building.
Looking forward to reading more by this author!
*Complimentary copy provided for an honest review.
I couldn't put this book down. I read it in one sitting (and lost a lot of sleep!). I've been waiting for Zayne's story. He is the quiet and withdrawn father to Laila. We know parts of his backstory with the fae and with Laila's mum. He is a quiet presence in the other books and a much more mature, older and wiser wolf.
Amelie is the mother hen of the pack. She has looked after her friends and watched them all find their mates. She has a dark past and carries the emotional baggage of this. She seems to be a romantic at heart however. She wants to find her mate and wants to have what her friends have. She is a kind and nurturing character within the book.
This is a beautifully written romance full of longing and slow burn getting to know one another. Once these two give in to attraction between them they set the pages on fire. I adored Zayne's patience and devotion. These Royals certainly have some seriously protective genetics. I adore how he watches over her long before she knows he is her mate.
This is another great book in the series with a seriously adorable ending. I specifically love elements of this shifter series. I love that they get to see visions of their future and you get a little hint of what is to come for these passionate and bonded couples.
It's so crazy that I don't touch shifter books for whatever reason, but I love this author so much that she's an instant one click without looking at what her latest release is about. It's how I now have a new addiction to A Royal Shifters. Claimed by the Moon follows Zayne, a very serious man who keeps everything locked down so no one has been able to breach his walls to get close to him, but he never saw Amelie coming, and honestly, was his mate. She's a wonderful heroine who just gets Zayne, and they definitely have serious chemistry sizzling like crazy, but despite her sunny outlook, she has her own set of demons. However, the romance brewing is only one part of this story, there's so much more coming up for him, stuff that kept me on the edge of my seat with heart racing. I'm telling y'all, this is a series that everyone needs in their life, and I know that I'll be revisiting all of them for years to come! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Who is Zayne? What does he have to do with Amelie? Why does he seem to be stalking her? What time of the year is it? Who is Alina? When Zayne has to go on a trip to meet with a new client, who is it and what is Zayne's reaction? When Kara and Knox show up on the scene, what do we learn? What do they say as to why they are there? Is it the truth? Or is it a lie? What happens on Christmas Day? As time goes between Christmas Day and New Years Eve, what happens to or with Amelie? What does it mean? Why does she end up sick? Is she poisoned? If so, by what? Read to see what happens with Kara and Knox's return and the things that happen when truths start to come out of things that have been hidden.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Claimed by the Moon is everything I love in paranormal romance. This is part of The Royal Shifters series. I especially love stories about fated mates and it is a story about Amelie and Zayne. Amelia is the type of woman that brightens up a room just by being in it. She teaches elementary school and loves her job. She knows her fated mate is out there but she's patient to wait for him to find her. Zayne is a loner. He has already loved and lost in his lifetime and he's terrified of giving love another chance. Then he finds his mate. Drama surrounds these two. It kept the plot engaging and me sitting on the edge of my seat. The characters and world building were magnetic, making me immediately want more from this world. I loved the dynamic of these particular characters being brought together. If you love fated mates in a paranormal world, then I highly recommend this series.
I was pulled right into this story. The story has secrets, pain, suspense, and heartbreak.
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first Turn of the Moon (Royal Shifters, #1) Resisting the Moon (Royal Shifters #2) Rise of the Moon (Royal Shifters, #3) Unleashed by the Moon (A Royal Shifters novel Book 4) Bound by the Moon (A Royal Shifters novel Book 5)
This is Amelie and Zayne’s story. Amelie and Zayne both have baggage. She is a happy person and he is grumpy. So a little bit of opposites. She is his fated mate but he has an enemy and if he were to find out about the mates he would make sure Zayne suffered. Some hot and sweet times with a bit of danger and suspense thrown in for good measure. Will Zayne be able to have a future with Amelie or will Knox make sure that never happens?
Zayne and Amelie are so amazing! L.P. Dover went far beyond what I expected to give Zayne his forever. Like with the rest of this series so far there is no shortage of paging turning moments. I love the build up of their story and the magic that unfolds. This series has totally instilled my love of crystals way more than I could have ever thought. Learning something new while being enthralled in a story is amazing and allows me to connect with the characters on a totally different level. Zayne was a favorite of mine from the moment he entered and I can say without a shadow of a doubt, if you love Zayne then you will NOT be disappointed! You get to see even more of his protective nature and the angst that builds from him trying to remain under the radar. Amelie is strong alone but nothing is stronger than a mate protecting his own!
“I’ve to confess that I wasn’t liking the story at first. At some point I was going to drop it because it felt too slow and boring? It’s kind of hard to put it in words without giving details but when I first dropped it it wasn’t sure if I was going to continue it but the plot sounded really promising and I wanted to give it a second chance and ended up being a good story. Amelie was hard to like (kind of st*pid?) she was childish to me but on the other side Zayne was absolutely perfect. He was the reason I kept pushing the pages lol. His protector attitude was so hot and if you add he was a broken too. He was perfect! As expected with shifters stories you can expect fated mates and that trope with a HEA. Also, I would have love a dual POV, it’s great when we have different perspectives and guys POV tend to be better but still it was a enjoyable story.”
Generally, I can jump into a series and not feel I've missed a lot; however, I thought I had missed much by not reading the previous books in the series with Claimed by the Moon. I had difficulty connecting with the main characters, and that is on me. I think it has more to do with me not knowing and understanding the heartbeat of the series and the world the author has built. I could tell the H and h in the book were well known and loved by others, and they were excited by the prospect of these two coming together. But as I said, I just wasn't there. If I had the time, I would go back and read the previous books and find the connection, but this one just didn't resonate with me.
This is the sixth book in this series and is Zayne and Amelie’s story. Zayne has his fair share of enemies and is drawn to Amelie. Amelie is a second-grade teacher who has watched everyone around her find their mates, and she knows that hers is out there somewhere. Zayne and Amelie are complete opposites, but they complement each other perfectly. This is a well written story which is a slow burn and is filled with undeniable chemistry, secrets, vengeance, engaging characters, intrigue, suspense, danger, family, and emotions, which leads to a steamy and riveting page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I recommend for all shifter romance lovers.
This is the sixth book in the Royal shifters series. They are stand alones, but I think they're better if read in order. This is Zayne and Amelie's story. Zayne was Collin's protector. He's over 200 years old. His past is catching up to him. It's not a good thing either. If Kara and Knox find out who his mate is, she's dead. They will kill her. Amelie is a mother hen type. She takes care of everyone. I did really enjoy this read. I wish Knox would have been told who Zayne's mate is. Would have been like rubbing salt in his wounds.
I have waited for this story. Zayne and Amelie had been through so much with even more danger coming. I loved Amelie's sunny disposition despite everything. Zayne had such strength in keeping his wolf and himself under control. Together, they made a great couple as they waited for the mating signs to begin and take hold, as well as a strong couple once things came into play. I really enjoyed this story and look forward to more.
I received a copy of this story through Enticing Journey Book Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.
This is a book 6 but it stands alone fine. This is about Zane and Amelie. There lots of recurring characters but enough information that you don’t feel lost. Also things had happened in the past to both characters but you get some of that as well. I guess that was my only issue since there is a lot of backstory snd explanation it seemed to take a portion of the book. Having said that, I enjoyed the romance and plots of the book. There is plenty of action as well. If you like shifters, Fae, opposites attract, true mates snd suspense you will like this.
I have been absolutely sucked into this series. This is the sixth book of this series and they just seem to be better each book. Every story I fall in love with a different set of characters, but love that I get to see some past favorites. This is Amelie and Zayne’s story. These two could not be any more opposite the other. We also know what they say about opposites. I fell in love with these characters and found I could not put this book down until I reached the end.
Wow what an amazing book!!! Zayne has been a protector all his life. He never expected to be swept off his feet by a sweet beautiful woman. His second chance mate. Amelie is a teacher that loves her family and students more than anything. The past is about to make an appearance and it’s not gonna be good.
Another amazing book by L.P. Dover. I was so ready for Zayne and Amelie’s story and this book did not disappoint. What a beautiful love story with some sexiness mixed in. The connection, slow burn and the chemistry of this couple will have you hooked. Pick up this book and see how it all plays out. You won’t be disappointed.
Zayne is one exceptional man. He is compassionate loyal and down to earth. Amelie is compassionate loyal and an amazing mother hen. Could not wait to see where the story would go. Loved the way everything came together. What an amazing connection they have. The love they share is nothing they have ever had before. A must read.
This is my first book in this series! I know, I know, why am I starting here? The blurb caught my attention, And I knew I had to read this! And, man, am I glad I did! So darn good!
I was turning the pages so fast!
Absolutely adored the main characters!
Not a typical genre for me, but, I will definitely read the entire series! How can I not now?!?
Claimed by the Moon by L.P. Dover is book six in the Royal Shifters Series. A series of interconnected stand-alones. This is Zayne and Amelie's story. Amelie is a teacher and settled into her quiet life. When she discovers Zayne as her mate , her whole life is about to change. I love nearly every book in this series. While the last one wasn't my fav, this one is a great read again.
Zayne is filled with immense guilt on not being there for his family when they needed him most. Amelie has suffered betrayals from people she thought she could trust. I was so happy to see them learning to love each other and heals each others' pain. And of course it wouldn't be a shifter book without some badass moments. Overall it was a great book.
I love Zayne and Amelia. They were both so tortured and their loved heal them. I was not expecting for the things to turn so quickly and action hit. I was in awe but what happens to Amelia. Talk about having something potent…Zayne!!!! Anyways I want more so I’m off to read the next book.
She had a pack family then met her mate her parents didn't like him but he convinced her that they were destined to be together so they mated androgen it all came crashing down on her when her cousin came to find her and what she learnt was horrible and what her mate did to her was horrible but you need to read to find out the rest
