Keisha Jordan is a good friend and an even better attorney who always goes above and beyond for her tight knit group of friends, the Kiawah Kisses. When her best friend Nicole asks her to come home for the holidays and help right a wrong; she agrees. But, murder, robbery, and a sexy older sheriff turn out to be more than she bargained for. Keisha doesn't want to let the Kisses down; but even loyalty isn't something she's willing to lose her heart over.

The last thing he needs is some nosy attorney and her friends opening old cases and creating a stir around town during the holidays. If the attorney wasn’t so beautiful he’d gladly escort her out of his town. But she is… so he lets her be. But what will it cost his family's legacy if she stays?

Ma'am! I love the kisses, but this one right here was it for me! It was a raw, truth-telling, fact-finding, put everything out there read; and I am here for it! Keisha is a no nonsense, sassy, and brilliant attorney; but a much better friend. She was always the one her friends lean on and turn to, when in trouble. But, who does she have to lean on? I didn't know what to think of Sheriff Grant in the beginning, but did he make me a believer! 😂 The chemistry at that traffic stop was electric, but they both had doubts about taking it there. I really like Nicole, but I was ready to slap fire from her, when she showed her whole ass! Keisha was the one out there fighting WITH her to get answers, and she had the nerve to be a brat! 🤬 While finding out the details of Nicole's parents "accident" Richard and Keisha bared their souls to each other. I was gutted finding out the neglect and pain that Keisha endured growing up! I know her mother was grieving, but damn that is your baby girl! Ughhhh…. Then the males in Richard's family treated women poorly, not loving them properly, and he was taught to do the same. But, through all of their insecurities, pain and trauma, they found love in one another; when they never thought it was possible! Well done! 👍👍👍

While I've only read book two in the Kiawah Kisses series, Kiss of Life and now Kiss of Karma, book four, I do not find that you absolutely need to read all of the books or read them in a particular order. They were both standalone books but there are some aspects that would probably make more sense with the context of the other books. But over all I really enjoyed reading Kiss of Karma and I just felt that it felt more like a novella in length than a full length book, but maybe it was somewhere in between.
Keisha Jordan loves her best friends with everything she has, and she loves being there for them and being a superwoman to them, even when they don't necessarily appreciate her or realize how much stress she is under. So when she's back in her hometown of Kiawah Island she impulsively has a one night stand with the sheriff, Richard Grant, that she has happened to go toe to toe with several time that day. But when it's all too much for her she slips out of his house without a word. Keisha doesn't see Richard again for three years when her headstrong best friend, Nicole, busts into his office and accuses his father of staging her parents murder as a car accident. What could go wrong?
After one night with Keisha Richard changed all of his thoughts on his life. Due to his upbringing Richard pledged never to get serious, married or have children but after Keisha leaves without a word he can't stop thinking about her. So when they meet again three years later he knows he's going to keep her this time. The problem is that his predecessor and his father might have covered up a murder and he doesn't know what to do when he and Keisha are seemingly on opposite sides of this. But when Keisha implies that Nicole should go easy on him, Nicole finds out everything that happened between them she accuses Keisha of not being on her side and that she is dead to her. Despite all of the mean words that Nicole flung at her Keisha is determined to work with Richard to find out who killed Nicole's parents and maybe fall in love along the way...

This is my first book by this author. I liked the strong, feisty Keisha, who rescues her friend, puts up with her yelling and drama while needing support and love herself. I loved the sweet and strong Richard Grant, my newest book boyfriend. They meet, have fabulous sex and then are apart for 3 years. Richard is the Sheriff on Kiawah Island, and Keisha lives and works as a divorce lawyer in L.A. Both times they meet, she is there for events or problems with her friends, the other "Kisses" in the series. This is a small place, and everyone mostly knows each other's history and family ties. There are many complications in what feels like a family saga. It would probably be better to read the first three books and then this, the fourth. There is drama and also the most beautiful emotional intimacy between Keisha and Richard. These two guarded people find love after so much waiting. They learn to love themselves as well. I enjoyed reading romance with Black people by a Black author, including issues that I know are dealt with daily in the Black community.

I took away one star mainly because the editing was very poor in this issue. There were misspellings, typos, grammatical errors, words left out all throughout the book. I don’t normally complain about editing errors, but this had so many that it was distracting. An example is the group is the Kiawah Kisses, so whenever speaking of them the K in Kisses should be capitalized. That’s just one of many but it happened several times.

As far as Richard and Keisha, I loved the way he treated her. He was right when he said “No, I just don’t want anyone ever mistreating you. You deserve the utmost respect at all times. Tonight, Nicole disrespected you. That’s not what genuine friend does.” (that should have been, That’s not what a genuine friend does.- another grammatical error). I agree with another reviewer, I wanted to slap Nicole. One person in a group that mistreats and disrespects another in her group is never a likable person. I agree with and love what Richard told her about easing other people’s pain while increasing your own. He helped her see that she deserved better treatment.

I wanted to slap Nicole for her attitude in this book. Yes, we finally see Keisha find her happiness and get the partner who will take her back and shelter her when she needs a break, but Nicole almost ruined everything! And she didn’t even stop to think that all of this was for her while she was tearing Keisha apart. She’s lucky she apologized and meant it because Keisha definitely deserved a grovel for Nicole’s rash actions.

As for Richard, oh boy. He was so much more than expected, and he didn’t hold back. When he was irked, you knew. When he was ready to go to war for his woman, you definitely knew. And when he wanted only Keisha to be his, you certainly knew!

These two gave us the closure we all needed, as well as the answers to a few ugly questions and doubts. And the fact that everyone was brought together to share in the love and happiness after secrets finally came out made everything even better.

This is the fourth installment of the Kiawah Kisses series. It has been such a terrific series so far, and I had no doubt that I would enjoy this one as much as the others. I was not wrong! I loved the character of Keisha, such an intelligent, no-nonsense, feisty girl. She's the kind of gal you definitely want for a friend. Richard is the sheriff in Kiawah Island and is great character. He doesn't believe in relationships, but when be meets Keisha, his opinion changes. I liked the way he became offended on her behalf and stood up for her when her friend Nicole was disrespectful to her. He helped her realize how she really deserved to be treated better and not taken for granted. They had such good chemistry and were a great couple. I love this series and really enjoyed this newest addition. I am happy to recommend!

I received a complimentary advanced reader's copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review.

I love this book. I was happy to see what would happen with Keisha. I felt bad for Keisha that she was doing all she could for Nicole and she was just giving her attitude. Keisha kept questioning who would be there for her but she never said it out loud to her friends.

Richard is the man that Keisha really needed. He knew when he first met her that she needed someone to take care of her and he wants to do that. I was so happy to see them find each other and for him to she Keisha that she is seen.

I love that Richard was able to bring all of the friends together for her for a special day.

This was another solid offering from this series! Keisha is the rock of the ladies' friendship and the one every one relies on to get justice. She meets Richard when she was in town and ended up in a situation with the ladies and their issues. Richard is the sheriff and he has his hands full with her. She gives in and has some fun with him but leaves without saying goodbye. A few years later, Keisha is back in town and involved with helping Nicole get answers about her parents' deaths. Richard is determined to not let her go and he wants to be there for her. I really enjoyed reading their journey to happiness!

Thank you for the privilege of reading this book! Well done

Goodness these ladies are making me emotional!! I really love getting to know this group of women and their families!!!

I love how the previous book ended and how this book started! I really really love the reminder on how I was left shocked and ready to know more!! This time you get all the answers you need but are left all hot and bothered by the activities that happened.

I honestly thought there would be a little more crazy but the amount of craziness was perfect! I loved the shock and awe moments!! I wasn’t sure how much I would really enjoy the sheriff but my goodness!! Swoon!! Great read and loved the ending!!

So good! I need to read it one more time! The drama of it all! Is this really the last book for the Kisses???? The romance...check,the friend drama and reuniting, also check. Did we get the Happly ever after...definitely! Yes, Nicole was Nicolin...lol,but we love her and Keisha came into herself even more. These friends love each other mess and all and when it comes down to it that's one of the things that keeps you going in life. Read this for a reminder that the fact that you're not perfect is the reason you're perfect for somebody and for when you need a reminder of the queen you've always been.

This was a suspenseful and charming way to wrap up the Kiawah Kisses sojourn to find love. Richard and Keisha are the cutest!! Keisha in her super saver mode for everyone and Richard in his playboy officer make the sweetest duo. I really enjoyed the storyline of finding Nicole’s parents killers which gives the story substance but I just wanted more. The book went too fast :( I really enjoyed this read, it really rounded the friendship of the Kiawah Kisses. I feel like they’ve all started new chapters and the next series (*wink*wink*) will delve into their new lives.

Wonderful ending to what I hope is only this years part of the series. I could read about these women and their small SC island town forever. This fourth installment is shorter than the rest, but it fits. It was literally the denouement. I’m glad Nicole got closure, Keisha got a life , Tara got love, and Symone got her legacy. Whew! It’s been a ride.

Keisha's story is the great one to end the series with. We finally get to see Keisha find her own happiness and Richard's the perfect guy for her. I felt bad for her that she had to deal with Nicole and her attitude. But I loved that Richard wants to take care of her and fight for her. I loved this book.

This was a great ending to a wonderful series. While this one was a bit shorter than the others, I enjoyed that it tied everything up nicely and gave such an endearing ending to the series. This whole series was such a entertaining journey.

This story was truly, incredible. I'm just story it ended so fast. I'm glad that Nicole the answers she needed. I'm also glad that Keisha got her man, and that he will take care of her. What they say about older men. Booyah!!!!!!

It ended too soon or did I read it to fast? I loved this series and the Kisses. Their stories were sometimes heart breaking but it always turned to heart warming. I really enjoyed the way the author wrote these books and I hope she continues to write!

Ms. Lennox has written another great book in this series. Keisha got just the man she needed in sheriff Richard Grant. Neither were looking for love but found it in each other. He was an older man who knew how to take care of his women.

A great story showing that life isn’t always easy. Lucky for some, things turned out better. Showing that you have to be careful with what you do in your life. Can’t wait for more in this series

enjoyed the story but way too many typos!

I like this series and I liked this story but it had way way too many typos (which is unlike this author so not sure what happened here).
