Cheating, Lying, and Cruelty -- What's Not to Like ??? . . .
After walking in to find her fiancé Johnny, once again in bed with another woman, Amber Trelawney has finally had enough. (Can I hear a collective sigh or an Amen?) She packs two suitcases, and Johnny, her dragon EX-fiancé begins to suspect that she is serious this time. Firmly believing she is his and no one else may ever have her, despite the fact he freely samples all the women he can coerce to bed, he tracks her down to bring her back.
Having no money and no luck finding a job, Amber finally sees an ad for a surrogate. The clients try to cheat her, but she had investigated the going rates for this and they offered more money. She also has to stay with them and they will provide room and board. They are very wealthy, so this is not an issue for them. Amber signs the contract as a surrogate, is confirmed pregnant, then the physical abuse starts! Mrs. Jepson hits her and does some damage to her face, and she has to see a doctor to get it repaired. He gives her the name of a lawyer to see about getting out of the contract. Linc, the lawyer, looks over the contract and says she can’t get out of it – I guess there must have been small print at the bottom saying it’s okay to physically abuse her regularly as part of the job?
Then Amber’s ex tracks her down. Amber is afraid for her life since Johnny is a dragon. But Linc assures her he can protect her, although he did not confess to the terrified woman that he was also a dragon which is why he felt confident about this. There are more crazy things going on in the story, but this seemed like enough. We have Amber who is not very good with self-preservation efforts. I am glad she walked out on Johnny and went to a lawyer. But it felt like she was too tolerant of being beaten and other such actions against her. Linc wants a relationship with Amber and omits telling her the truth about what he is, especially when she is going through this nonsense with Johnny. Johnny has repeatedly cheated on her with no guilt and she let him. All it should take is ONCE and that’s too many times. And the couple who wanted to bring a child into their twisted world, when they were physically going to have severe issues trying to care for a child and later toddler (they could hardly move due to extreme weight) should have given Amber pause to consider whether that was the right job to accept. (Others had refused.) And then she lets them beat on her.
All of these things made me regret reading a book about my favorite topic: dragons. I don’t find this book funny or redeeming. It’s difficult to connect with Amber when she seems so self-destructive. I was greatly disappointed and not sure why others seemed happy with this book. (My title was sarcasm, in case it wasn't clear.)

This story has some elements from previous books in the series, but I think you will enjoy it even if you haven't read any of the others. The book begins with Amber who has just caught her fiance cheating on her. Johnny doesn't seem to understand why Amber is so upset. When she begins packing her stuff to leave him, it finally dawns on him that she is really serious. Even then, the only that really makes him mad is that she is taking the engagement ring with her. Strapped for money, Amber decides to take a job as a surrogate for a rich couple. These two are a little off-putting, but she gets a lot of money, and room and board, out of the deal. All is well until the physical abuse starts. That's when Amber finds herself a lawyer.

She packed up and left, but with little or no money and nowhere to go, she needs a job fast. When she sees an ad for a surrogate for a wealthy couple, she answers it and agrees to sign a contract.
It's not long before she’s pregnant with their baby, But then they start abusing her so much so that she goes to a doctor for treatment. Whilst there he gives her the name of a lawyer who may be able to help her break the contract. Lincoln's the lawyer in question he's also a dragon shifter and upon hearing her story and seeing her face he agrees to help her. Meeting her made Lincoln realise what he was missing in his life and brought out all his protective instincts. Will he be able to convince her to risk a relationship with him?
Amber tells him about her ex (a dragon shifter) and how afraid she is he may come after her. Lincoln assures her that he can keep her safe, but can he? Her ex is a real piece of work with an attitude who thinks if he can't have her no one can.
Will it all work out? To find out if the contract can be broken or what happens with the ex you will have to read this for yourself because I'm not telling!

This is the great well written story about Amber and Link. This book has shootings, car chases, a jailbreak, a kidnapping, lots of romance and some steam. Amber catches her fiancé cheating on her and leaves. She decides to take a job as a surrogate mother for a wealthy couple, even though they are very unpleasant. She gets a lot of money and room and board from this deal. All goes well until the physical abuse begins. Fortunately, she finds herself a lawyer. Link is a lawyer who is a dragon changer and a true workaholic. When Amber walks into his office with her surrogate agreement so he can review it, he's determined she won't go out without a date. She's everything he wants in a woman and he and his dragon have totally caved in.
Then Johnny comes around the corner looking for Amber and turns out to be a Dragon Changer as well. Now Link must and will protect her and luckily with his friends he is not alone. They've already solved more hot fires. Will this story ends in a happy ever after??
Buy and read this great book, you will not be disappointed.

Amber came home early to find her fiancé John Moore cheating on her again, but this time it’s the last. She packed her suitcase and left. Looking in the paper for a job Amber came across an ad for a surrogate for a rich couple and now she is carrying their baby. Soon Amber realized she made a mistake when the mother of the baby started to hit her causing bruises and black and blue marks. That when Amber seeks the help of a lawyer Lincoln Sheratan.
Lincoln a dragon shifter is also a lawyer and when a beautiful woman, Amber, walked into his office for help, he couldn’t refused her. Lincoln had an instant urge to protect her at all cost. Amber tells him about her pregnant and how she got the bruises on her face, she also told him about her ex and saying she is a little afraid he will come after her. Now Lincoln is protecting her from the baby’s parents, as well as protecting her from her ex fiancé, Johnny, who his also a dragon and tools Lincoln he wants to kill them both, and also someone is trying to kill Lincoln and he has no idea why.

Amber walks in on her fiancé Johnny in bed with a woman. It’s not the first time but he promises he will change. She grabs her suitcases and packs one with clothes and one with her laptop and everything else. She only took what belonged to her Johnny tried to stop her leaving saying he wanted his ring back so she called the police. He let her leave and she also took her car which he brought but was in her name. He tried to get a lawyer to find her but he wouldn’t. Amber went for an interview to sign up as a surrogate for a couple. She signed the contract and moved into there house. Then the woman hit her and the man tried to rape her. So she went to see a lawyer recommended by her doctor to see if she could get out of the contract. The lawyer was Link the same one Johnny had phoned. Amber asked if there was anyway she could get out of the contract as she had been hit in the face and knocked down by the woman. Link told her no way could she get out of it. Then Link asked Amber out. I’m not going to spoil the rest only to say it’s a good story that continues on from the other books. I received an ARC for an honest review which I have given

Amber is a human engaged to a dragon shifter. She catches him cheating again and leaves him . She manages to escape but now she is broke. She sees an add for a surrogate and goes for an interview. They hire her and she quickly becomes pregnant. She soon learns that living with the couple is hazardous to her health when the woman attacks her. She asks her doctor for the name of a lawyer and is referred to Link. She wants to see if there is any way to get out of the contract. Turns out there isn’t. Then the husband tries to rape her. Doesn’t turn out well for the husband.
If that isn’t enough enough her ex finds her and starts stalking her. This poor girl cant get a break. Fortunately Link is there for her. But then things really go crazy!
This is a great book that will keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end! Lots of twists and turns but a great ending!

When Amber finds her fiancé Johnny in bed with another woman again she's done. She ends things and walks away however her ex isn't done with her yet. Amber takes a job for a wealthy family as their surrogate but she didn't know at the time was they were an abusive family. After the wife hits hurt once she goes to a lawyer to see if she can get out of the contract she made. Linc is a lawyer and he is also the man her ex tried to hire to locate Amber. So he is surprised when she just shows up in his office. He tells her to stay on with her contract and warns her that he ex is looking for her. As things start looking worse of her employers she turns more to Linc and things start to heat up between them. Will she be able to handle staying with the Jepson's long enough to have their baby? Can Linc help her deal with her ex?
This is an amazing story that will draw you in from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

This is a great story about a girl who gets engaged to a guy who happens to be a dragon shifter only to find out he is a sleaze. After leaving him she finds herself homeless and broke. So she becomes a surrogate for a rich couple 0nly to find out that they are abusive to their servants after being slapped by the woman Amber goes to a doctor and then seeks council from an lawyer. After meeting Amber Link is very attracted to her. But he has to give her the bad news that she can not get out of her contract. When her ex starts stalk her Link steps in and contacts the ex. When the ex will not back down Link contacts the Dragon Council who sends two other dragons to help Link protect her. This is a wonderful story about a girl a dragon or four. And love this author keep up the great work Serena Meadows.

Within a month of having the egg implanted she knows she is in trouble after the wife hits her so she visits a doctor for her injury and the doctor recommend a lawyer in the same building. Who are Amber, Johnny, and Felicity? How do they know one another? What do they each do for a living? Who is Link? What is his profession? Who are Hardy and Freddie? How do they know Link? Who are Harold and Addy? What contract does Amber enter into with them? What happens? I don't much like Harold and Addy! I really do like Link. What stunt does Johnny pull that upsets Amber? I like Ned and Joey! What does Link do that causes Harold and Addy to go out of town? What changes about them? What stupid stunt does Ace pull and what happens? Read and enjoy the story! I did.

In order to earn some money, Amber signs a contract as a surrogate for a pair of wealthy, overweight people with major issues. After Mrs. Jepson hits her for her own reasons, Amber goes to see a lawyer recommended by the doctor who fixed up her face. Link, the lawyer, looks over the contract Amber has signed and tells her she needs to grit her teeth. Amber feels safe with Link. This book has shootouts, foot chases, a jailbreak, a kidnapping, plenty of romance, and some steam, plus ends in a HEA. Highly recommended.

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW of Lawyer Dragon's Runaway Surrogate by Serena Meadows. This fifth book in the Runaway Mates series gives us Link and Amber's story. I love that the stories are linked through a group of dragon friends and an arms dealer named Chuck. When Amber leaves her cheating ex, she finds more than she bargained for as a surrogate. Link is an attorney that works in the same building as a doctor that Amber sees. When she needs some advice, the doctor recommends she see Link. Feelings Fly! This is a great addition to the series. Sweet story of mates finding each other. Some heat makes this a Mature Readers Only read.

This interesting Book 5 in The Runaway Dragon Mates Book Series is a sexy, standalone shifter romance story, a runaway bride and then abused by family she is being a surrogate for. This romance has sexy, strong irresistible, alpha male and second chance at love. It is uniquely well written book has characters who are well crafted with well-developed histories and personalities. This has a wonderful and emotional story with an element of suspense and issues of trust from her past. The characters in this book are well crafted with some major problems which they overcome. The story has drama, suspense, laughter and a lot of emotions to keep the reader engaged and entertained. A must read Book Series.

Amber has a terrible backstory and current story as her fiance cheated on her multiple times before she left and now as a surrogate, the couple giving her room and board while pregnant are starting to beat on her. Enough already. Lincoln is the only hope she has and as a lawyer, he has seen plenty. They fall for each other and because her ex is a bad dragon, he can protect her but does not tell her he is also a dragon. The characters are complex and going through a lot. The storyline has plenty of twists, surprises, intrigue, cruelty, and drama. The romance Amber and Linc want goes through problems, too, but the drive is there for a better life ahead. Great ending.

Amber has caught her fiancé cheating on her again. Amber ends up moving out because she can't put up with Johnny and his cheating, she's feed up with Johnny. Amber is hurting for money so she ends up deciding to take a job as a surrogate. Amber ends up signing a contract as a surrogate for a rich couple. The couple are very abusive. Amber ends up seeking a lawyer. Lincoln is a dragon shifter and also a lawyer. Lincoln is a workaholic and his friends keep telling him to slow down and enjoy life. I enjoyed reading this book. This book is amazing and I loved it! The next Runaway Dragon Mates story is about Link and Amber. He is a dragon shifter and a lawyer who has watched his friends find their mates and is a bit jealous. Amber is running from her cheating ex and ends up as a surrogate for a wealthy couple. Their journey will be filled with criminals trying to kill him, her ex trying to get her back and the couple getting abusive with her. They will manage to overcome it all and it will allow them to move forward with their own happily ever after.

Awesome 5th story in the dragon shifter romance
Lincoln or Link is a dragon shifter lawyer. He has enemies.
He met Amber who wanted advice about her contract as a surrogate to a wealthy couple. Amber has also left her former fiancée, Jonney and a dragon shifter because he was unfsithful. He wants to kill her.
The characters are loyal to their friends, fighters against injustice, and caring about each other. This fast paced drama is action pack to keep the reader on the edge of his/her seat. I like how the action of the battle Like verus Jonny.
Highly recommended. I am looking forward to the last book in the series.

Strange but not bad
I thought it was strange because like who thinks I need money so I will be a surrogate. Why not sell the expensive car get a less expensive car, have some money to live on and look for a job. Yeah does not make for an interesting book? I am to logical. The dragons in this series who are not supposed to be violent sure end up killing an awful lot of rogue dragons! Should u read it? Sure why not I did and found the premise interesting but I sure as neck would worry about leaving a baby with parents who hit others with ease, want to control everything, get drunk and try to rape people. Yes this should be a great life for a baby. Yeah not so much.

This one has drama, and some of the past characters appear in this book. You do not have to read the other books to keep up. Amber is a surrogate after leaving her cheating boyfriend. Then learns the parents she is having the baby for are abusive. She talks to a lawyer to see if she can get out of the contract. Link is the lawyer. He is unable to get her out of the contract but is very interested in her. Her ex shows up and things get sticky.

Serena does such a great job with her stories. This one is no different. She left her ex because of cheating. Now she needs a job. Perfect job to get to be a baby warmer right. LOL. That is until things get physical. Now she needs out. But she is stuck so now what can she do. Meet a lawyer that you are attracted to that has his own set of problems. Her ex still is a problem also. With everything going on in their lives can it get any better? Can these two get past things and move on together?

Amber comes home and finds her fiancé cheating on her again and this time is the last time so Amber packs her stuff and leaves she swears that she will never get involved with a shifter again. Link is a dragon shifter and a lawyer he’s lonely that’s why he’s a workaholic until he meets Amber who takes his breath away. Also Chuck is back in town he’s scared because he was nearly killed by a dragon, there is so much more going on in this fantastic story I loved it and the characters and I highly recommend this book.

We have amber who is running from her ex,because he keeps cheating on her. With no money she becomes a surrogate for a family. Then they turn out to be abusive even, she goes to a Lawyer. Link is a attorney that she happens to go to, he is also a dragon shifter. Then of course we still have Chuck and his associates who has been dealing out of the building. With so much going on with people wanting them both dead, what will they do? Can they find peace? Can they live?

Overall this was a decent story. It would have been nice to know that this was part of a series. I felt like I should have known some of the characters that appeared and the ending definitely hinted at the next in the series. Overall it was a pretty decent story with the main characters growing over the story and the plot was well executed.

This is the story of Amber and Link, but also continues the back story of the crime in the building that the others dealt with too! Amber leaves Johnny after finding him cheating...... Again.... This leads her to becoming a surrogate and as a result meets Lincoln.
A good tale that can be read separately but is better having read the previous ones

A interesting, love story, with a couple of twists.
I chose this rating cause I really enjoyed this story of the dragons, their lives with the good dragons, & the bad dragons. Amber the lady that won't let anyone give her trouble without a fight back. Go lady, even lookout for her surrogate baby too. Leaving the baby with a message before the baby goes to is horrible people as parents.

Amber found her fiancé cheating on her again she left but he kept threatening her. Amber signed up to be a surrogate for this rich couple that did so awful crap to her. She hired Link to see if she could get out of her contract.Had to keep reading because I needed to see which way the book would go! That was the only bad thing about this book otherwise I loved it!
