Resisting Tate

Everyone loves a hero... don’t they?

To most people Tate Thompson is a catch. Good looking, funny and a firefighter who has saved plenty of lives. But to Ruby he spells danger.

Still grieving for the loss of her dad, who was also a firefighter and died in the line of duty, there's no way she can go through that kind of pain again. Except her insides melt when she's in Tate's arms. Maybe she should take a chance on him?

Firefighting is in Tate's blood and he's never let anything get between him and his job. Until he meets Ruby.

She's not just sexy as hell. She's the first person who's been able to quiet the roar of guilt he's lived with for half his life. Maybe commitment isn't such a dirty word, after all?

But when fires ravage the country, both Tate and Ruby must confront their darkest fears if they want a chance of making it together.

Resisting Lachlan

Can he save her from herself?

Lachlan might have a well-earned reputation with the ladies, but outside of the bedroom he has a strong moral code. His clients at the gym can’t thank him enough for their health transformations, and when he’s not at work he’s often pulling on his volunteer firefighter suit to help put out fires. Then he spies his new neighbor. Even before they become lovers he knows he wants more than a one night stand. He wants her permanently in his bed. If only he can convince her that losing one man in a fire doesn’t mean she’ll lose him, too.

After a house fire takes the life of her violent husband, Justine leaves the past behind and moves to the outskirts of Baltown. But when bush fires threaten the tinder dry area, and her sexy neighbor turned lover is one of the fire crew risking his life to save others, she realizes she can run again, but she can’t leave survivor guilt behind. But will she face her fears head-on or escape from the one man who might break her heart?

Resisting Adam

Secrets shadow Emma Cain’s life, ones she can’t unlock by herself. When a bushfire threatens the valley she lives in, her ex-boyfriend, firefighter, Adam Thompson, demands she leave her home. Saving her precious cattle means everything to Emma, even if she has to agist them on Adam’s property. His fireproof place is the one safe haven, but is it safe for her heart?

Three firefighters, three brothers and the women who win their hearts, set in the small town of Baltown in the Blue Mountains, these three stories are sizzling, steamy and filled with emotion as they journey to their HEA’s during a hot summer with the added danger of bush fires.

Resisting Tate Christina Phillips

Tate Thompson is the middle brother in the family and a firefighter, he enjoys woman and at this stage has no plans to settle down but when he meets Ruby and life as he knows it is going to change.

Ruby is in town caring for her great aunt she is single at the moment and not interested in changing that after her last boyfriend she is still coping with the loss of her firefighter father, but when she meets Tate her body is telling her differently.

Together they awesome in bed and they also find it easy to open up about their pasts, they fit together perfectly and the sensual pull is off the charts. I loved both Tate and Ruby a beautiful romance.

Resisting Lachlan Mel Teshco

Lachlan loves woman and enjoys their company but finding someone to settle down with no way that is until he meets his new neighbour Justine there is something about her that calls to him like never before and when he helps rescue her cat Garfield she seems to be putting off the same vibes.

Justine has moved to the small town to get over her past, a violent husband who dies in a house fire, but watching her new neighbour and the woman he brings home just maybe a fling with him will be perfect she is not looking for permanent.

Lachlan and Justine have a very hot and sexy fling but their hearts are saying more, they do get on so well but can Justine get over her fear to let Lachlan make her his forever? They are so good together.

Resisting Adam Cathleen Ross

This is a fabulous second chance romance, Adam is the youngest and gave his heart to Emma when they were at school but she left and broke his heart but he has never stopped loving her.

Emma has moved back to town and is running the farm with her cattle, she has matured a lot since she left four years ago, and she is stronger. With fire getting closer Adam arrives on her doorstep to tell her she has to get out before the fire arrives she needs to protect her cattle so goes but she is determined to stand up to Adam, but will she be able to protect her heart from the one person she has always loved.

There was a lot to open up about from their past if these two are to make a future together the sensual pull is still there and Emma is a much stronger person now and in bed the sparks fly and once the past is left behind these to fly to their HEA.

I thoroughly enjoyed all three of these stories, all are fabulously written and pulled me in gorgeous to die for heroes and heroines a little vulnerable but strong and loving. I do highly recommend this book, fabulous romances that left me smiling.
My thanks to the authors for my digital copy to read and review

Who doesn’t like a sexy firefighter (or three)??!! Swoon worthy heroes, fun, easy to read and plenty of steam! Each story is about one of three firefighter brothers. The stories are based in Australia so it was interesting to be immersed in a different culture. I liked how various issues were touched on that any firefighters family could go through. Realistic concerns about health/family situations, habitat loss and couple struggles were a plus for me and gave the book depth and meaning. I am a series junkie so all three being in one book was great!
Turn the AC down and enjoy a sexy evening with these HEA stories!

I always love a hot firefighter and the Thompson brothers are the hottest of them all.

This was a three novella book in one. I loved reading about the 3 brothers and their love interests with all the conflicts and twists and turns.

I received an ARC of this book from the authors, but I have bought, read and enjoyed their previous books.

Another great trio of stories from a great trio of authors. These stories introduce us to 3 brothers who are hot-firemen who also co-own a gym and work out a lot! Can you imagine the muscles?! :)

Each brother, in turn, finds himself falling in love with a strong, feisty, independent woman. None of the relationships are smooth sailing but the Thompson family supports each other and the strength of family bonds assist with each Happy Ever After.

I received an ARC copy and read it in two evenings. I simply couldn’t put it down. Hot firefighters who are brothers, fight fires in Australia and come to California to fight wildfires there and find the one woman who is the “one.” What a fun read!

I was very honoured to be asked by the lovely Christina to proof read this book as always I was very excited to read another book by one of my favourite authors so of course I said yes lol
What can I say 3 sexy firemen finding love I was in , this was brilliantly written and it wasn't a tacky sex book like many books like this can be far from it don't get me wrong there were steamy moments but its wasn't done in a horrible tacky way. The stories are really good the characters very likeable and easy to like every story was totally different, I loved how she gave them a back story so you knew more about them and not left wondering who are these people. All in all its a great book I read it in one night as I didn't want to put it down lol so yes I do recommend reading this if you like this sort of books 😃

A super collection of three sexy and steamy novellas featuring Aussie firefighter siblings, Tate, Lachlan and Adam Thompson, and Ruby, Justine and Emma, the sassy women who turn their lives upside down. The collection contains themes of grief, secrets, ill-health and domestic abuse, all of which are portrayed in a realistic and sensitive way. I particularly loved how each of the couples worked through their respective issues and backstories to reach their HEA. I also enjoyed that each of the romances were very different whilst being linked in terms of the time frame.

Christina Philips’s Resisting Tate is an emotional read - Ruby has been through a lot and is still grieving, yet her attraction to Tate is off the charts. For sure, Tate is a real hottie, and I enjoyed how their relationship played out and how Ruby faced her demons. I found Ruby’s great-aunt to be a real character too!

I loved how in Mel Teshco’s Resisting Lachlan, Justine turned the tables on the ladies man Lachlan, and it is he who has to do the running. They are so good together and I was itching for Justine to put her trust in him, despite her misgivings.

Cathleen Ross’ Resisting Adam is a lovely second chance romance. Trust, secrets and forgiveness are key themes as Adam tries to keep his ex safe from the wildfires, whilst trying to persuade her to make a go of the attraction they still have for one another. I enjoyed how Emma grew in strength, both because of and despite her past. As with the other romances in the collection I was urging them on to confront and overcome their personal issues.

The collection is perfect for readers looking for contemporary romances which pack in some serious steam and emotion. Please note, a copy of the book was given to me by the authors and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
