All of Qiu’s books are adorable and fantastic and this one is no exception! In Asian Adventures A-Z, there are so many fun facts and colorful illustrations. It’s a wonderful alphabet book that was clearly very thoughtfully written - each letter even lists three different things that begin with it!
(And as much as it’s fun to say “Zizzer-Zazzer-Zuzz,” come on. Yobe Qiu’s Asian Adventures A-Z is better than Dr. Seuss’s ABC in every way.)
A beautiful and brilliantly illustrated book! My son and I enjoyed learning about different foods, places, and the variety of culture that can be found within the wide brush of East Asian and South Asian cultures.
We homeschool and read a LOT, this poem story encouraged my son’s curiosity. We used it as a guide to look up all the different places and were able to learn so much. My son (6yrs) is starting to realize that the world is much bigger than he thought. Great book!
Such a great book to learn about Asian countries and their traditions, food and fashion. Would be great for socials studies on other cultures or to help introduce Lunar New Year! The author sent me a copy for my library and so can’t wait to share it with my students. Such a great way to bring diversity to the alphabet!
I recommend reading this book to young Asian boys and girls. This book has very pretty illustrations and it educates kids about Asian foods, places, things to do, and their culture in general. This book is even good for older kids who want to learn something about Asian Culture. Its informative but still appealing which makes it easy to use in a classroom.
There’s a lot in this book besides just the ABCs. It also has a ton of geographical information and introduces kids to lots of yummy foods. A lot of it will probably go over kids’ heads at first, but it lays a great foundation for learning more later.
I loved the vibrant colors and pictures in this book about the ABCs. There were so many interesting facts about different foods and Asian traditions. I learned alot! And so will other parents and children. Highly recommend!
Great A-Z book though I wished they included Central Asia and more of South Asia that is not just India. I also noticed the exclusion of Myanmar and wished the author had included it.
