Gunner and Amari were fighting their connection bad!! I don’t even know if I can really call this a forbidden love because the one person that they were trying to respect gave them both the green light before he met his untimely demise!
Gunner and Amari are finally done playing games and give in to the desires of the heart! They get hot and heavy when it’s all said and done and I really enjoyed their chemistry on page! Just like book 1 we are left hanging and I’m starting to get the feeling that AP gets a kick out of playing in our faces like she does! *insert my favorite pout gif* IYKYK
Not as good as Savage but, Gunner still had me thirsty for more. This man just screams BDE from page one. He and Amari's chemistry was scorching hot! Gunner and Amari have been fighting their attraction to each other since her brother's death. Things come to a head when they have a long overdue conversation and finally give into their attraction to each other. I'm so anxious to see how everything comes together with this series. These shorts are stressing me.
Aubree Pynn is able to do so much in these shorts. Amari and Gunner are both so crazy about each other and try so hard to resist it but the chemistry is undeniable.
This was a Brother's Best Friend Trope. Gunner and Amari had been fighting their attraction. Amari had long been in love with Gunner, but now that her brother was gone she wanted to hate him so much. However, the chemistry didn't lie. It was a short that ended in a cliff hanger that I assume connected to the next short.
Once again, let's give it up for the unstoppable AP! Whew Gunner was intense! Feared by most, respected by all, yet all he wanted was the love of Amari! Amari was a boss in every way, but could not outrun the beast that is Gunner! These two were explosive! Let the wars begin! Great work! 👍👍👍
Gunner is officially my new book bae😘. The way he handled Mari was everything. Mari could no longer resist and the chemistry was 💦🔥out of this world!! Another great short by this author👏🏽.
The introduction to Gunner and Amari's story. Both of them are grieving a loss. I guess we'll see if they can work things out. Two pieces to the puzzle several more to go 😆.
Queen Aubree Pynn ain't playing with this Lavendale series. Short and interesting. These Knights ain't playing about their Queens and the sex😳. Gunner most definitely gonna eff Mari up for showing out at the club. What Will book 3 reveal🤔.
“Gunner,” the second book in Aubree Pynn’s Lavendale series, is an electrifying and compact read that delivers an intense mix of spice, angst, and desire. Set against the backdrop of a brewing war between Lavendale’s knights and queens and Ganton Hill’s prophets and monarchs, this short novel packs a punch.
Gunner and his crew are embroiled in the chaos, calling hits and bracing for the tumultuous battle ahead. Amidst the turmoil, Gunner’s quest for peace with the powerful and alluring Amari adds a layer of complexity and intensity to the narrative. Their magnetic pull toward each other, bound by the street life and their connection through Amari’s brother, Prince (Gunner’s best friend), creates a compelling and fiery romance. As they navigate their dangerous and forbidden attraction, they cross a line of no return, adding to the book’s thrilling edge.
Aubree Pynn, often hailed as the queen of short novels, does not disappoint with “Gunner.” The story is short, sweet, and super spicy, making it a perfect read for those looking for a quick yet satisfying escape. Pynn’s ability to weave a gripping tale in a limited number of pages is truly commendable, and “Gunner” is a testament to her talent.
Chhhiiilleee, these shorts are stressing me. I can’t wait to see everything come together. I love the passion with these men. Yes they might be Savages but their love is so strong and addictive! ❤️ I can’t wait for what’s next
We had the pleasure of interviewing Aubree Pynn on our facebook group show 'Reigning Words Book Review Lounge'... These were an entertaining quick read - Gunner is book 2 of 4 books in Aubree Pynn's Lavendale approx. 200 pg series. Gunner is the 2nd of 4 brothers the Knights - whose lives revolve around their roles in their club 'Flame', within their 'crew' & with their queens. Gunner and Amari's bond is intense as they cross the borderline between their chosen occupations in this cold, rough world and the intensity of their passionate sex scenes. There's something for everyone as we meet these 4 brothers. Though the stories are short, we get a good glimpse into every aspect of their lives and personalities. Love scenes were raw and steamy. The storyline builds in each book with a bit of neighborhood background of their city thrown in which. The story leaves us wanting more and I can't wait until another story in this series drops later this year. The author is known for multiple books back to back so maybe we'll get more than one book to continue this series that leaves us with questions as to what's gonna happen next! I love books that highlight different characters and in this one my favorite would be Menace (book 4) something about him stirred my soul. He was pretty intense to me! This series definitely makes you want to meet the whole city as I don't know about you but I love to know every intricate detail of the background of relationships, bonds etc. So I definitely plan on reading her other 12 book series which involves the 'crew' that are not fans of guys on this side of town! Wtih that being said I'm heading to the HIlls soon to explore this 12 book series! (Ganton Hills to be exact;)
I enjoyed this book it was short and spicy. This richly layered narrative explores themes of power, duty, and love in a world divided by its ruling class.
The story's plot is intricately woven, focusing on the Knights and their queens, who hold a significant place in Lavendale's society. Pynn skillfully develops these characters, delving into their struggles, aspirations, and the complexities of their relationships. As the narrative unfolds, readers are drawn into a web of intrigue, political maneuvering, and emotional depth.
One of the standout aspects of "Gunner" is the vivid world-building. Lavendale comes to life with its unique customs, traditions, and hierarchies. The author's attention to detail immerses readers in a realm where the Knights and queens' roles are central to the story's fabric.
The novel also explores the idea of responsibility and the burdens that come with power. Through well-crafted character arcs, readers witness the growth and transformation of the Knights and queens as they navigate the challenges and expectations of their positions.
Throughout "Gunner," Aubree Pynn weaves a tale of love and loyalty, set against a backdrop of a world teetering on the edge of change. The themes and plot are compelling, and the characters are relatable in their struggles and desires. If you enjoy stories that blend intricate world-building with complex characters and themes of power and love, "Gunner" is a must-read. Aubree Pynn's storytelling prowess shines in this enchanting novel.
Another one 🔥🔥 !! This was a great addition to the series. Aubree Pynn never disappoint with these stories. Gunner Santiago had one assignment and he showed out entirely when getting it done. Amari wanted nothing more than to love on him but the life they live wouldn't allow. Despite her hardheaded ways giving up was never an option for Gunner because she belonged to him. The pieces are finally coming together and I can't wait to see the what's about to transpire in the hills. A war is on the horizon 🤞🏾🤞🏾
So I’m trying to piece together who Prince was, what the hell happened to Von, why their so eager to start up a war? Also, why they doing this underground thing in the club when Ess isn’t with it and Sav is her dude and shouldn’t be with it? I got questions but I’m sure answers are to be revealed in all of the series to answer my questions. So far these women are fighting their feelings for these men when it’s inevitable and they’re only hurting themselves.
Yes, yes, yes! Everything I wanted in a novella and more were in this read. Let's just say I jumped on the Kings, Monarchs, Ganton Hills train and I have no desire getting off. I can't keep claiming these book baes but I can't help it...LOL. Gunner is sexy alpha personified and Amari is boss diva. Great combination for explosive chemistry. More please...
I looooooove Aubree Pynn and her books (GH series are my fav) one of my favourite books I’ve read this year is gas station drug money.
But I can’t lie im incredibly confused with it all, there are too many characters to remember. I’m not sure of the direction the short novels are going in but I don’t think I’ll be fully satisfied until a full length comes out.
One of Lavendale’s finest has been introduced and he definitely didn’t come to play. Alpha male, decisive and able to talk the talk whenever he opens his mouth. Another knight to add to the table and your shelves. He’s one to get to know and read about. A good novella from page to page that keeps you intrigued.
Gunner: a short (Lavendale Book 2) was indeed short with a lot of talking in riddles. There was little to no background on these two, just a few sentences that was supposed to suffice, but didn’t quite do the job for me. It just left me with many unanswered questions and wanting more.
The cover for this story had me singing a new tune. I must say, Gunner is about his business and getting his lady. That is the good part. The bad part, this story ended too dang quickly. I'm going to need more of this story real soon.
AP is a master at packing SO much heat into a novella! The intensity of the chemistry btwn Mari and Gunner jumps off the page. Their emotional battle and seeing another chess piece move on the board to war left me both satisfied and desperately wanting more! Loved it!
I can't wait for the book where all these characters collide. Loved this second installment of the Knights I'm here for men like Gunner. Enjoyed this story.
I loved the storylines in these short story just proved even the hardest of the hard need and want love also. And I can not wait to read more about Amari and Gunner and how their love will prevail.
Gunner and Amari finally stopped playing with one another and acted on their true feelings. They both had last wishes from Prince on being with one another. This was a short and sweet love story!
Gunner was on a mission to make Amari a believer...and he did just that. That was Spicy... Excruciatingly HOTT. I loved it all, except for the fact that it had to end; the story that it. So good.
Gunner is my kind of man🥰. He not only knows what he wants but goes after it and when he caught Mari she didn’t stand a chance trying to run. I can’t wait to see him fulfill both their desires inside and outside the bed👀
I like it a smidge less than the 1st but only because the mess wasn't REALLY mess. Otherwise the BDE quite made up for the lack of chaos and once again, Mrs. Pynn has thoroughly aggravated me by simply ending a book.
