Champagne & Star Wars

3.5 stars - Nina has one goal for her summer vacation - have a fling. Upon meeting her, Louis has one goal for his summer vacation - keep her forever. They are adorable but a secret is their undoing.

I liked this easy read with a bite of heat. The primary setting is Nice, France - which is now on my must visit list! The attraction is instant but it plays out a wee bit. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I received a copy from Booksprout; this is my honest review
-There were so many mistakes I sent a note to the author.
-When there’s a bet, willingly taken or not, someone is bound to get hurt. Fortunately, the drama didn’t last long.
-Nina is a bit naïve if she thinks the servers are there to spoil her by being kind. They are just doing their job.
-She’s also fast to judge people without knowing where they come from – she thinks she knows and that’s it.
-I loved how Louis took care of Nina, how they visited places and he learned pretty fast what she liked.
-At some point, Louis greets Nina with “Salut, belle dame”. I almost fell off my garden chair laughing. This is a translation taken on the Internet. What he could have said was “Bonjour ma jolie”.
-Another thing that made me really laughed was the fact that they had duvets – as in plural – on the bed. This is France, one is enough.
-I’m wondering how Nina didn’t catch Louis was from NY when he put his phone # in hers. She should have recognized at least the area code if not that it wasn’t local to Nice.
-Overall, not much growth in character and I’m not sure how the “fell in love” thing worked out for Nina. For Louis it was insta-love; but Nina was in love with the idea of a French guy, not a New Yorker. How did she transitioned to the latter?
-Great book for Star Wars fans.
-Lukewarm open door unprotected scene and Nina is proud of that fact. Apparently she wanted to feel everything as if she wouldn’t with protection. Maybe someone needs to educate her better.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Nina and Louis. Nina was on vacation in France and decided she wanted to meet a man to have a fling with and lose her virginity to after her ex cheated on her. Louis was also in France on vacation and when he saw Nina, he knew he had to meet her. Nina thought Louis was from France because when he first met her, he spoke to her in french. Louis was so smitten with Nina, he wanted to spend all of his time with her. Soon Louis realized Nina thought he was a local and he never corrected her. Louis knew Nina was the one and he was scared she would be angry if she knew the truth and that he was also an American. Nina found herself wishing things could work out between her and Louis, but she was returning to the US soon and he would be a fond memory. I liked this book, i really liked Louis and Nina together. I think they had an instant love connection. I love how sure Louis was that Nina was the one. I think he regretted not being honest with her and i think he really wanted to tell her the truth but was scared she would never forgive him. Well done.

Nina needed a vacation, she was hoping to take it with someone, but only to have to go by herself. Louis was on vacation with his friends and one other, hoping to enjoy time away. Nina was looking for a fling with a Frenchman, since American men were not interested, when she ran into Louis, she thought she was getting what she wanted......

Louis found the more time he spent with Nina the more time he was falling for her. Nina did her best not to give her heart over to Louis as she could not do long distance. Secrets come out, lie become truths - Nina and Louis have a beautiful connection, their passion and love grows with every moment the are together.

This is a fast read that will melt your heart with each turn of the page.

French Man or NOT! This is a cute short story about first impressions or NOT! This is about Nina and Louise. Nina is in France for a much-needed vacation and to have her one-night stand with a French man. She thinks she finally meets one when Louise catches her eye and well, he starts with speaking the language of love to her and she melts… Of course, she is tipsy to start with and the longer the night goes, she ends up drunk, but Louise is a gentleman and takes back to her room and puts her in bed.

Louise is there with some co-workers for a vacation as well but once he sees Nina he has fallen in love and the rest is history for him; however, he forgets that there is an annoying co-worker that tagged along that bet him he can’t get a date and is close to ruin things for him. Could things work out for them?

Nina and Louis meet in Nice, France on vacation. She wants an affair with a French man after her sort of boyfriend dumped her and he wants forever right from the start. Cute misunderstandings and miscommunications cause a few situations. Loved that her first words were - Han shot first. That cinched it for these two Star Wars geeks. After ten days of seeing the sights and finding out they are both from NYC, he gets creative so she will talk to him again.
The characters are heartwarming in how they care right from the start. The storyline is believable and the Star Wars comments fit so well with them. The romance skyrockets back in NYC. The absolute best part is the ending - a Star Wars convention. Can not wait to read more by this author.

to France for a vacation and to let lose and find a french guy,when she me Louis she instantly attracted to him but being a curvy woman shes always thought that no man as sexy and handsome as Louis will notice her but boy oh boy how wrong she is or so she thought,when she found out that his not really a french and his doing it for a bet..but when he follow her to explained everything she didnt believe him so the only thing to do is find away to convince her is to climb a tree near her bedroom to the hotel shes staying at and declared what he felt but he acidentally fell down and broke his arm but got the woman he loved.

Nina wants her vacation in France to include a fling with a Frenchman. Louis wants a relationship with the woman who stole his heart from the first time he saw her. Although it may not seem like the two will match up, it is obvious from the start that these two are meant for each other. Although this is an instant love romance, Louis takes his time to woo her. Both characters were really likable and Louis was very romantic. The story is quite short and covers a brief period of time in their relationship but even with that, you could still feel how they grew closer together in a brief period of time. Although I'd give this a 4.5 stars if I could so I will round up instead of penalizing the author by rounding down.

This story is for sure an insta love fast-paced story. This is a vacation story that has you wondering what in the world is this guy thinking. He falls for her right off the bat, but she holds back, of course. I really love that the description of her being a thick girl is explained and not just saying curvy with a flat stomach. This girl is right where the author actually meant by her explanation. This guy is sweet and kind. You get a lot of romance. There is not a bunch of sexy times, it is just pure romance and misunderstanding with a lot of love in it. There is so much caring as well. But then you get the total asshat in the story too. Can't have a story all the time without one of them right.

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
Truth or dare is the first book in the ‘’summer games for curvy girls’’ series.
This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. When Nina takes a vacation to France, she wants a fling with a French man. When she meets a handsome French speaking man, will she give him a chance when she learns his secret?
The chemistry between Louis and Nina is clear to see and I liked them together.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

This book brings us Nina and Louis. Nina is on a vacation and all she wants to do is meet and have a fling with a French man. Enter Louis. He speaks some French to Nina and she assumes that he is French and he doesn't correct her. There is immediate attraction between both of them and they spend a few days sightseeing and getting to know each other better. However, one of Louis friends, tells his secret to Nina, and she is devastated to learn of his lies. However, Louis is quick to tell her his reasoning, and she accepts. This was a cute read - perfect before bedtime. I did receive an arc for an honest review.

Nina is in France because of a guy she was interested in. She is wanting to have a fling with a Frenchman. While at a party the hotel is throwing for its guests, she runs into Louis. Louis is interested the minute he sees Nina. They have fun but Louis is hiding a few secrets. When Nina finds out about the dare, he needs to figure out how to minimize the damage and get Nina to listen to him. His gesture is grand but dangerous.

Nina is on a vacation in Nice after being heartbroken due to a coworker who she thought was interested in her but wasn't. She decides to have a fling with a Frenchman and lose her virginity. She meets Louis at a resort party and they date, she thinks he is from France but is an American. There is some conflict when she finds out due to a coworker of Louis' which result in her not believing in him. Can they make it past this and find their Star Wars HEA? Great short story and always enjoy this author.

Nina isn't having luck with boyfriends so heads to France alone for a 10 day vacation where she meets Louis, an American in Paris for a vacation.
This is an instalove vacation romance with a sweet no drama, but intense storyline. I really liked the dynamic between the couple but felt there could be more to the story especially during their time in France. Still a very nice story with a feel good ending.

Nina is finally on vacation and she is actually on a beach in Nice, France. She wants to find a fling for her vacation. Since he first saw her in the bar, Louis has thought that Nina is beautiful. Louis loves that Nina has plenty of curves. For the whole of her 10-day vacation, Nina and Louis go out on dates and kill. A lot of kissing. By the time the 10 days are over, they both have fallen in love with the other. This short story is fun to read and comes with lots of romance, a little bit of heat, and ends in a HEA. Highly recommended.

I liked Nina and Louis's story. It's a sweet story of finding love when you least expect on it. She's on vacation in France and decides to have a fling, and she found the perfect guy in Louis. The problem is he's not who she thinks he is. He doesn't let that stop him from wooing her. Of course, secrets have a way of coming out. But Louis is determined to prove himself to her even if it means going out on a limb literally. Good read.

Nina is looking for a fling, while Louis thinks he's found his dream girl.

Louis & Nina enjoy an idyllic holiday in France. Her original motive to have a fling is diverted by Louis' sweetness, but when she finds out that he isn't all that she thought he is, she panics. Will Louis convince her that their love can survive anything?

This is a good pick-me-up to read in-between a long reading bout and is perfect for the beach. The sweetness isn't too cloying or tacky. It's the right amount with just that bit of heat sprinkled in.

I think the tree fall was my most favorite part of this story. Freddie was a jerk of all jerks for what he said and he was definitely NOT Louis' friend!! Nina suffered from self-esteem issues with how she looked and was treated by other men...more jerks. Louis saw her and fell in love in that moment. Bet he never saw that tree in his future until that moment and will probably stay away from them...wonder what his mother said about his broken arm. The story was kinda choppy to me and missing...something.

These two were actually Jedi nerd and quickly hit it off, they speak the same language after all. But it turns out he was not what she was expecting and it broke her heart. But Louis was willing to do everything to convince her, and she did. She may not have gotten what she wanted but she has what she needs, the man she loves and who loves her.

The author has given us a short story that takes us to Nice for a small vacation. When Nina travels to Nice for a vacation, she has decided that she wants to have a vacation fling with a Frenchman. Louis and his friends go to Nice for a short vacation and he sees the woman of his dreams. She thinks he is French and he does not tell her any different.
