Scotty Monroe had no idea how he ended up in the hospital. The last thing he remembered was running from his abusive uncle. The one thing he knew for certain was that he didn’t want to return to Franklin’s house, even if he had to live under a bridge. What confused Scotty even more was the handsome man by his bedside. He had no idea why the sheriff was sticking around or why the guy had taken him home.
After finding an unconscious human in the woods, Sheriff Mitch Greeley rushed him to the hospital, only to realize that Scott was his mate. The guy’s body was littered with scars, and he looked as if he hadn’t eaten in a month. When Mitch’s SUV exploded, he knew Scott’s uncle was out to get him. Franklin was hellbent on getting back his nephew, and Mitch was just as determined to keep his mate at his side.
Lynn Hagen loves writing about the somewhat flawed, but lovable. She also loves a hero who can see past all the rough edges to find the shining diamond of a beautiful heart.
You can find her on any given day curled up with her laptop and a cup of hot java, letting the next set of characters tell their story.
A good book with a surprise ending. Scotty had Ben abused for years he was Mitch’s mate and he was in protection mode. It lost a star because Scotty talked about not having a phone and was found unconscious in only shorts with ID and told Mitch he didn’t have a phone then he received a call on his old phone
I'm so glad the sheriff got.his mate and I love his big fluffy dog!! The adventure starts quick and so does the mayhem caused by Scott's uncle - I love how Scotty loves his "teddy bear" Lynn Hagen is great at creating beautil.couples!!! Thank you - Lori
A nice change from the pack of Wolf shifters with town Sheriff and Bear shifter finding his true mate in this next instalment of the long running multi verse saga
I totally loved this addition to the, Fever's Edge, series. I just loved Scotty (but hated what he had lived through) and I loved his bear shifter mate, Mitch, who was also the sheriff of Fever's Edge. I loved all of the mates and their fun and welcoming personalities. I hope that this series continues to go on and on. This was definitely a very captivating and steamy read.
