This was an enjoyable read. Bailey is being accused of a crime. She knows she didn't do but nobody else believes her. Ashton is her lawyer and he is also put in charge of taking care of her. They fall in love and when the truth comes out they get their happy ending.
“This woman is the very definition of…Savage. She’s the sharp edge of a razor, ready to cut you at the slightest wrong move”
This is the third book in the Savage Series by Lark Anderson. The books are not related and are complete standalones. The only thing the main characters have in common in this series is the Savage last name. Tho they’re not relate.
Bailey Savage is, interesting to say the least. The woman has layers and despite her tough exterior and facade, she’s so much more than what meets the eye.
She had a rough childhood and her adult life isn’t a smooth sailing either. Bailey grew up and was raised in the middle of a motorcycle club/gang, who’s leader was her grandfather. Despite her origins and all the curve balls life has thrown at her, she is determined to make it on her own. She has a beauty shop that she opened with her two friends and she dreams of striving.
“I’m not stupid enough to think that Caleb’s ever done anything good in his life, so you owing him a favor only means you’re not as straight and narrow as your polished exterior.”
When the book starts, Bailey just got arrested for a crime she didn’t commit, tho all evidence points to her. Ashton, unwilling, steps in to defend her. He’s a big shots attorney, who normally does corporate law, but Bailey’s brother convinced him to represent his sister.
“You probably haven’t been privy to his condescending, arrogant as fuck, I’m better than you side. I’m shocked he hasn’t called me a filthy peasant.”
In the beginning Ashton doesn’t give two f*ces if Bailey is innocent or not. He just assumes that she’s guilty do to her background. But as time passes he starts to really see the woman in front of him and to see the cracks in her facade.
Despite growing up with a silver spoon in his mouth (or as Bailey would say “Now you’ve damn near gone insane. Ashton wasn’t just born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He had the whole tray of silverware in his damn crib”) Ashton childhood was rough and the beginning of is adulthood is marked by a severe trauma that as affected him in ways few people realize.
“You’re asking for muscle relaxers.” “Yes, because I desperately miss mine. It’s in my drawer at home. It’s about this big.” I put my fingers about seven inches apart. “Has eight speeds and needs a USB port to juice up.” Recognition dawns on his handsome face, and for the first time since I’ve met him, he seems at a loss for words. “Guess I’m gonna have to leave you a bad Yelp review.” “Because I’m not giving you a vibrator?” I love the fact that it looks like his head’s about to explode. “Because women leave here unsatisfied,” I say nonchalantly. He snickers. “I’ve never had a woman leave unsatisfied, and quite frankly, I’m the only muscle relaxer they’ve ever needed.”
I did love these two, they’re the very definition of polar opposites that complement each other. Their attraction was almost immediate, tho they both fight it. The humor that Anderson injects in her books is always delicious and I do love the way she always does some sort of mild suspense and a twist that keeps me on my toes and not wanting to put the book down.
Bailey Savage was going to prison for a long time, no way would she escape the trumped up charges, whoever had set her up had covered their tracks well, but why......enter Ashton Ward.
Bailey Savage had a worthless father but she had adored her grandfather, her grandfather had been the founder of The Savage Angels, the most notorious biker group to hit the streets, he had the respect of all the members but after his death her father couldn't gain the same respect.
When Ashton Ward, a high end corporate attorney presented himself as Bailey's defence lawyer jaws dropped, there was no way that a dreadlocked, tattooed, failing beauty salon owner could afford the thousands of dollars that Ashton would charge for his services.
Ashton didn't believe that Bailey was innocent of the charge of swindling elderly people out of their savings but he had paid her bail and he had to get this case thrown out, who was pulling his strings and why ?
As part of the bail conditions Bailey had to stay with Ashton, not a match made in heaven but Ashton began to see that under the dreadlocks and tattoos was a beautiful, sassy, principled girl who had her bad breaks but was trying to make an honest living for herself.
Bailey was attracted to Ashton from the word go, she saw past the grumpy, arrogant lawyer......the sparks were flying.
This is a great story of opposites attracting.
I received a free copy of this book and my review is voluntary.
Bailey has been falsely accused of stealing and Ashton appeared in court and got her released into his custody with a monitor, so she has to live with him. Bailey’s grandfather and dad had been heads of a notorious biker gang but she was never involved in their crimes and was feisty, outspoken, and smart but projected a bad girl image. Ashton was an arrogant, straight-arrow corporate lawyer who was forced to defend Bailey because her criminal brother was holding something over his head and he wasn’t initially convinced of her innocence. Ashton hadn’t dated since his girlfriend died 10 years ago but he becomes attracted to Bailey and she was attracted to him. Will Ashton be able to get Bailey cleared of the charges and can they find happiness together?
I absolutely loved this story about 2 people who appear to be opposites and highly recommend it. The author did a great job showing how Bailey’s childhood and her horrible family still played a major role in her life and Ashton’s abusive parents and the death of his girlfriend after she fell in with a bad crowd were still affecting his life. They both had issues to deal with but grew closer and ended up helping each other. The epilogue was a fantastic ending for their story.

At first, I was really bothered by this book, but it wasn't the book itself. It was that I had just finished "Savage In The Sheets" by the same author. Two women with the same last name but completely different personalities, appearances, and backgrounds. I started the book thinking they would be related, but really, I didn't see any connection between the two books. That does bug me- same author, similar titles- it would seem like they would be a part of the same world but it seems more like polar opposites. Maybe that's the connection, but since they have the same last name, it just seems like they should be related. It's not a common last name and again, the title and character names just leads me to believe that. Once I moved past that, it's a great story. Our hero is a bit of a jerk to begin with, but he was in a difficult place for multiple reasons. So was she and she had many reasons to not trust. In the end, they are wonderful together and I couldn't put the book down. Just don't go into the book expecting the same background for the female characters if you've read any of the other Savage books. (I've only read the two but plan to read another soon and I will not go in with those type of expectations.)

Bailey Savage is a hairdresser with a criminal biker family. Her grandfather, father and brother were all part of a biker gang. Bailey wants more for herself. However, her normal life is interrupted by criminal charges she swindled retired people out of their life savings. Ashton Ward, a corporate attorney, has been asked by Bailey’s brother, Caleb, to represent Bailey. Bailey says she’s innocent but no one seems to believe her. Ashton didn’t have a good childhood and neither did Bailey. Ashton eventually decides he believes Bailey and wants to help her. He has a secret he’s keeping from Bailey that involves her family. I found myself rooting for Bailey and hoping for a happy ending. This was an enjoyable book. I found some parts were a little under detailed so I only gave it four stars. Overall the characters were good, there’s mystery, and sexual attraction. I recommend you read this book.

I loved this third installment in the series of standalones! Great, flowing plot, likable characters who no one would thing they could fit together. Bailey is a co-owner of a beauty salon, wrongly accused of a crime she didn’t commit and Ashton is her reluctant (because of her brother) lawyer turning protector. These two shouldn’t make sense together, but surprisingly they are! Bailey is good at hiding her true, softer side behind sharp edges, all gifts from a tormented past she is determined to escape from and rise above. Ashton never had to face these kinds of difficulties as he comes from money. At first Ashton is quick to judge but soon he realizes that assumptions are for fools and that if you really look, you can see the magic underneath. Twists, turns, truths revealed and so much more create a fast-paced, addicting romance I couldn’t put down. 4 stars.

I really enjoyed reading Savage in the Streets by Lark Anderson because it was a steamy enemy to lovers story with a bit of drama. Bailey Savage was a tough character who had a lot of odds stacked against her. Ashton was the stick in the mud attorney who was helping her with her case. To say in the beginning that they did not get along is the understatement of the year. These two characters clashed like oil and vinegar. Each chapter was told in their perspectives. I liked the dynamic of Bailey and Ashton. Even though in the beginning, they were not getting along, as the story went on, their feelings somehow shifted. There were times, I had no idea what was going to happen next and that to me is a great story. It kept me guessing. I would highly recommend reading this story. The surname is Savage, and she plays the part, but would you believe? She never did drugs, alcohol, and never swindled seniors out of their retirement! And that's what she's accused of! Now she meets her lawyer, hot and arrogant Ashton Ward, and she can't make up what her criminal brother has on Ashton, to make him represent her! And now she has to stay in Ashton's apartment... And there are sparks! And Ashton has some secrets... I loved this story because you see how sometimes opposites attract! And that you can't always rely on first impressions to know people. Great book! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. Lark brings us another Savage that finds love the hard way. Bailey and Ashton have a story that begins with misunderstandings and accusations. It then continues with misconceptions and unwanted attraction. When they both look past the surface, they find a strong connection. It does not take long before they give in. Bailey has her hands full and finds that Ashton is there for her. The characters have a lot of differences which end up making them fit like puzzle pieces. The story is well written with humor, drama, family, friendships, lust and finally love

While I enjoyed this book something’s seemed sudden to me even though you new where things was going to eventually end up it just happened in such a short time span it didn’t feel truly believable. That aside it was an enjoyable read that I would recommend for a lazy afternoon. Really hoping more books will be out for other characters like mable. Ashton and bailey were thrown together as lawyer and criminal things didn’t go as planned for the pair and a few times I wanted to shake Ashton for being snide with bailey. I truly felt for bailey as she’s in all this crap just because of her family but with twists and turns it makes a good story
This is book 3 in Anderson's Savage in Love series. This book is a wonderful addition to the series that can be read as a standalone if wished. Our main characters are Bailey Savage and Ashton Ward. Bailey is heading for a long-term prison sentence for a crime she's being set up for, but grumpy lawyer Ashton is out to prove her innocence even if he initially didn't believe her innocent. Attraction is there from the start between these two and the close proximity under stressful conditions makes the sparks between them flare to life. A fun, captivating, sweet and steamy romance. I loved it!

An atypical but fascinating couple It's a very good story from enemies to lovers, between two characters, Bailey and Ashton, who are in total opposition socially: he comes from a rich family and is a lawyer, she is the daughter of a biker family, very poor and a hairdresser because she doesn't want anything to do with her family anymore. Yet they are pushed towards each other when she is arrested. The story is full of twists and turns, while being very hot, moving because of these excellent characters. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
Ashton Ward is being forced to represent Bailey Savage for a series of crimes. Bailey denies committing those crimes, but Ashton only want to get her off and doesn’t care what happens to her after. But part of her bail condition is that he keeps her under his protection until trial. Love the back and forth between them. Gradually finding themselves opening up and facing their past.

I enjoyed this story, Bailey and Ashton are good together even seeming to be opposites. The story is well written and the plot is engaging with the intrigue and the romance and it's hit very hot. This is part of a series but it can be read as a standalone story, since it doesn't connect with the two previous books.

Wow Savage and Ashton certainly have the chemistry. Savage a hairdresser is charged with a crime and Ashton is her lawyer. This is fun, snarky, intense and dramatic but also gloriously steamy. This Author writes a brilliantly funny, witty book that had me laughing lots and enjoying the humor. Her characters are loveable, her writing a joy to read, and her sense of humour such fun. Great job! This was an ARC and this is my honest review
sad truths Reading this book was fun but it also contained some sad truths: "because justice is a joke" is the reason Bailey and Ashton meet. Both have been played by their families and have trust issues but soon they find "Our families are shit, but we have each other". It´s amusing to watch them converting from ribbing each other to having each other´s back. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
What happens when you are accused of swindling seniors out of their retirement? You find a lawyer of course, but I don't think Bailey or Ashton could have predicted how their initial feelings toward one another would quickly change. I loved this, the third installment of Lark's Savage in Love Series. I can't wait to read more of the series ASAP.

Bailey finds herself in jail for something she didn’t do. She’s waiting on a public defender when Ashton walks in to take her case. He may be hot, but she can’t stand him and now the judge has released her into his custody. This is going to be interesting… Get ready for witty comments, growing attraction, and steamy moments in this enemies to lovers romance.

Polar opposites but undeniable heated attraction... The story has been outlined so I won't go into detail. She was innocent of the crime, he was "persuaded" to defend her & be her custodian until the trial. Anger turned to passion. Could they survive the ordeal which became easier every day? I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
"Everyone is so scared of missing out on life that they don’t see the value of experiencing it with someone.”
Bailey and Ashton, an enemies to lovers novella. This was a good read. The book is also an opposites attract story. The characters are each given decent back stories.
I received a free copy of this book for my honest review.
I really enjoyed reading this book. Ashton is a hot shot lawyer and Bailey is his client. Bailey has been accused of a crime she didn’t commit and Ashton doesn’t believe that she’s innocent. This book is your typical enemies to lovers story and for me it’s a successful rendition. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I received this book from BookSirens. Bailey was going to prison. She had no way to beat the trumped up charges against her. Then her lawyer Ashton is not just working her case but is in charge of her. This short but sweet love story is a must read.

The author has given us an enemies-to-lovers story that pulls us into the lives of Bailey and Ashton. The story keeps us turning the pages with suspense, accusations, connection, denial, revelations and steam.

Start with an arrest, add in a sexy attorney who doesn’t want to be there, force them to cohabitate and see what happens. I enjoyed every minute of this book! I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Ashton is arrogant fine and rich . he thought he wouldn't find love again until Bailey came in the picture. This book is funny steamy and suspenseful. A very good read. I received a copy of this book from lark Anderson arc copy. And I voluntarily leave a review.
Savage in the Streets was an easy-to-read, enjoyable book. The characters were interesting and the storyline was well done. There wasn't a real extreme conflict moment for me, but I didn't go in expecting one. It was a good sunday lazy day read though.
